Tom came to our house on schedule to talk about what we wanted and provided a bid timely. He came back to go over the questions we had about the bid. The work for the most part went faster than we expected. Tom's employees were very friendly and seemed to be very competent. We always felt comfortable having them in and around our house. They also did a good job of picking up after themselves when the work was completed. The subcontractors Tom used were also prompt and did good work. When the job was completed Tom billed us and the price matched the original bid with only small changes for items we had agreed to. Would definitely use Tom again and recommend him to others.
Description of Work: New granite countertops and cookstove in kitchen, painted kitchen cabinets, new hardwood floor and entertainment center in den, replaced a lot of exterior siding, replaced two french door windows, and powerwashed and stained the deck.

Tom was recommeded by a trusted friend. After six years of trying to find a contractor to remove a load-bearing wall and open up a downstairs space, Tom was only one of two out of 9 people who looked at the job and actually gave me an estimate. That's right, 7 people looked at it and never called me back, even after telling me how they would do it and how good they were. Tom started promptly, with a professional crew of carpenters, sheetrocker, beam fabricator, and electrician. The job was finished within 3 weeks (most of the time waiting on metal beam fabrication). The cost was right at the estimate, with some slight overages due to extra work I requested. The result has made the space much more open and livable.
Description of Work: Remove a load-bearing wall in the downstairs to open a room into a hallway and create a better living space.

I had been in my home thirty years, and it was time to remodel the bathroom. It was a little on the small side, so Tom knocked out a wall to enlarge it. He then put in a walk-in style stand up shower in the extra space. It looks very modern and nice. I could not be more happy with the job.
Description of Work: My bathroom got enlarged by several feet and updated with a walk in shower.
