 + -1 moreThe service man came promptly. Would have been early except that we were not home. He was professional and certainly knew what he was doing. We are very pleased and will certainly call this company for any plumbing needs in the future.
Description of Work: Our toilet had water leaking from underneath and puddling on the floor. The service man came the next day (I called late afternoon) and discovered that the problem was in the water line which was leaking under the toilet and then running out from under it. Because of the age of the toilet (original to the house), replacement parts could not be found. The technician explained all options including replacing the toilet which we decided to do because of the age and because we had had problems before. New toilet was installed the same day. It looks good and functions perfectly.

 + -1 moreThey were efficient and did the work quickly. They fixed our gas leak in our fireplace. Then, they checked out the leak in the upstairs bathroom and determined that it needed new cauking around the faucet and tub, etc. There was a part needed for the fridge that he thought he had, but then realized he'd need to go pick it up. He said he would return the next day, but then called about an hour later and said he got the part and could fix it right away. Very friendly and professional. Not used to using a professional plumber, so the cost seemed high-- but I'm told by friends/family that the price sounded about right. Overall happy with the service and would use them again.
Description of Work: They replaced a water line for the fridge; fixed the gas leak in the fireplace; and checked the leak in the upstairs bathroom.

 + 0 moreI have had problems with the sewer backing up at my rental property ever since the city installed clean out vents. I suspected poor connection installation on the city's part, but they refused to repair it. I used another "roto-rooter" type company two other times who did the minimum amount of work to get the line running. I finally called Ray Lusk Plumbing after seeing the great reviews here on Angie's List. Bob came out, on time, and fixed the issue. Then he spent time with me discussing the problem and what options I had to permanently resolve the issue. I was very impressed with his professionalism and depth of knowledge. I heartily recommend Ray Lusk Plumbing!

Description of Work: Bob Burch of Ray Lusk repaired the leaking pipes under the sinks at church. He understood that we needed very rugged pipes because of the number of people who would use the sinks, the lack of oversight that an institution would have and made an effort to make the repair as idiot proof as possible.

 + -1 moreI showed him the 3 areas of concern I had and he addressed each individually. Due to cost, I decided to have 2 of the 3 jobs done today and will wait on the third job for a later date. He replaced the garbage disposal and rebuilt the commode (replaced the gasket and inside parts) all in about 1 1/2 hours. He cleaned up his work areas and was very respectfulf my property. I was very pleased with the experience.
Description of Work: Replace garbage disposal, replaced the parts of a commode and gave me an estimate on replacing a leaking outdoor faucet. Zak worked quicly and did a very good job! He was honest, friendly and professional.

 + -1 moreI called and explained that I had a leak at the pressure relay that controls the well pump. We agreed to a date and time for the service. I made arrangements to be home from work. The plumbers showed up 15 minutes early. I showed them the leak, they took one look and said, "We don't do that kind of work", and left. The problem was exactly as I described it when I made the appointment. Now I am back where I was last week.

 + -1 moreAs facilities manager for a small church, I decided to go professional for repairs to the men's urinal because the last time I repaired one, it only cost about $75 to fix myself, but took me about 4 hours - I am not a pro. While Lusk was fixing this second urinal, I asked that all the toilets (2 urinals, 7 standard) be checked for issues. Another unit needed a new chain. The rest were found to be in good shape. However, within a week, the other men's urinal was stuck flushing (yes, the one I fixed). A call back to Lusk indicated that this could be a small piece of junk in the valve. The problem has apparently resolved. Maybe. But a different toilet began 'singing'. I replaced the flapper myself. However, I found the plastic stand pipe cracked at the top. This is an old building. I was hoping to get a complete refurbishing of the interiors of all the johns. When dealing with such a building and institution, we don't have the luxury of waiting till issues arise. We must be proactive and that was what I was seeking. However, I guess to save on money, they didn't want to do too much. I am seeking to make a relationship with various professionals who will know and understand my church building and be available and be seeking ways to prevent, not just repair, problems. I am not convinced that going through a larger company is the way to go.

The symptoms of our problem had disappeared just prior to their visit, and they had several suggestions about what to look for when the problem returns. We were not charged due to a warranty on some work that was done last November. This problem may or may not be related to the current problem.

 + 0 moreThey are courteous on the phone, the service men are polite and professional, and I never feel overcharged. Quite the reverse, when they leave I feel like they've done me a favor. Ha. Anyway, as often as we've had to have a plumber, it's nice to know I can count on someone.

 + -1 moreI left a message with their answering service; they promptly returned my call and offered to come by the very next day. I requested an appointment for the following Friday. He called to let me know that he was on his way, arrived promptly as scheduled, listened to my concerns, ran all the zones, made adjustments to some heads, made recommendations to correct the problems, and gave me the estimate, which I accepted. Later, the same day, he called and scheduled a date (less than a week) to return to do the work. Again, he called to let me know he was on his way, arrived promptly and completed the work; he tested the system to ensure all was working well. He did an excellent job correcting problems as we initially discussed and was most professional and attentive to my concerns. I had my coupon from Angie's List, which he gladly deducted from my bill. I might add that the system was installed a few months ago, these problems resulted from my using another provider (not from Angie's List) who did shoddy work and would not stand behind it. This was my first time using Angie's List, but I will definitely use it from now on and would highly recommend Ray Lusk Plumbing to anyone.
Description of Work: Ray Lusk Plumbing moved three sprinkler heads to prevent them from spraying water directly into my shrubs and into my privacy fence, installed three additional minster sprinkler heads so that other flower beds receives sufficient water, properly adjusted all system heads and water pressure so that all the yard receives sufficient water.

 + -1 moreDavid and Colby of Ray Lusk Sprinkler Service called ahead of time and were punctual to the minute. They listened to our problems, and they recommended fixes for our approval before beginning work. They worked very efficiently in terrible heat and direct sun. They adjusted the sweep perfectly, and they carefully replaced sod and mulch so it was difficult to see that any digging had been done. By replacing a pop-up sprinkler head, they were able to increase irrigation to a problem area that was chronically dry. Our previous service said the problem couldn't be fixed. David also provided advice that will help us save water. The Angie's List coupon they accepted recouped my monthly AL membership fee. Ray Lusk Sprinkler Service and these technicians are a Class Act, and I will definitely use them again! Life is good.
Description of Work: Replaced three old and damaged maxi paw sprinkler heads, and replaced a sprinkler head with one that will cover a larger area.

 + 0 moreThe gentleman was a few minutes early, based on the time estimate provided the day before. He was also very polite. When he told me of the issue he said he thought it was about $150 and I authorized the job. When he came back in with the paper work after completing the job, he said the price had gone up since the last time he checked. Ironically, it had gone up as much as the $25 coupon I printed off the Angie's List website. I have not googled the part yet and it may be legitimate but in fairness it should be mentioned in the proper context. Either way, I have water heating for dishes and showers and that makes me happy. Had to call thm back out again 2 days later due to water heating but not getting hot. Again, they were prompt, professional and did a thorough job of checking out the heater. I was not charged a fee for this visit which I appreciated very much. The plumber adjusted the dial upward although he wasn't sure it would resolve the problem long term, so far, so good... I am please with their efforts and am satisfied with the job done.
Description of Work: Replaced the thermocoupler on my gas hot water heater. It took about 15 - 20 minutes to replace.

Description of Work: The Ray Lusk Company came out and fixed a broken pipe that was underground, running from under the house out into the backyard. We were losing a lot of water and didn't realize it, as it was hidden and the backyard is sloped. We noticed our sprinkler system wasn't performing up to speed when we noticed the presser wasn't as strong as it used to be and two of the sprinkler heads weren't popping up in their zones. The grass was dieing there, and soaked in others. We needed help but didn't know who to call. With the economy as it is, I was concerned with what this would cost, and couldn't afford to have a lot of additional hidden costs piling up either! I'd heard of Angie's List but had never used it myself. Now that I have used Angie's List I will never worry about "who can I call" again!!!Ray Lusk Plumbing is FANTASTIC! They are such nice dependable people. They called, set up a time, came when they said they would and even called before coming to check in and make sure it was still a good time and to tell me the name of the person coming and when they would be here. They came and checked everything thoroughly, gave us a very reasonable figure, fixed everything for the price given, and described everything done that day. Kind, professional, did the job they said they would WHEN they said they would, AND they are going to come back and do another job for us and install some additional sprinklers in much needed places. Ray Lusk Plumbing...you won't have to ever worry about who to call for plumbing again! :) Thanks so much!

He had to do quite a bit of additional work. He replaced the seal and fixed the problem without charging anything. They did an exceptional job and I will be using them tomorrow for irrigation services.

They replaced the drain pipes under the sink first & then unclogged the drain. They were very professional & polite & kept me informed on everything they were doing. I was very pleased & would use them again.
