I called Jerry Poppy to see if he was available to check out my irrigation system. I was having numerous problems (low pressure, valves not shutting off, etc.) and the company I had prior was pretty baffled as to what the problem was. Jerry came out the same afternoon and in pretty short order identified one of the problems. He replaced a solenoid, which solved the valve problem and found and fixed a break in the water line under a concrete walkway. He stopped by the following day and found a leaking valve in one of the zones, which needed to be replaced. I had asked him to add an additional zone to split the front and back. In doing this he found I short in the wiring, again under the concrete patio. This required replacing the wiring. I also asked to have the heads moved and to add additional heads. Jerry had already replaced the heads with low-pressure heads, which really had great coverage. In addition he solved a drainage problem by rerouting the AC overflow and added river rock and sod to various areas. This company is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to go out of their way to ensure the customer is pleased with the results. This is a great company and would recommend this to anyone. I

It could not have gone better.

The initial install took 5 days. 9 zones, over 100 heads, lake pump, and very rocky ground. $10,000 We have had him come out multiple time to move stuff around and an extra zone installed. We installed a pool. Every time he came out within a couple days to get the stuff done. About $1,400 Came out a separate time to run over 200 ft of drainage for our gutters for $500. He has also come out multiple time to fix damaged heads and covers for free. He has also left us spare parts each time and shown us how to fix them. Great guy

His team was constantly hustling but always courteous and didn't mind my inquiries. They spent a day here and saw more needed to be done and bumped another customer to keep the project moving towards completion. He has 1 more thing left and I offered to pay him but he refused until he completed the job. Pretty impressive customer service. I have also referred him to my parents for a new irrigation system and sod. If you are in the market for someone to do sprinkler work or other landscaping, I encourage you to give Mr Poppy a shot.

All went well and will be back in the Spring.

He arrived late, but that's not too unusual with him, as he does lots of work and sometimes is delayed by unexpected difficulties he encounters on the job. However, once he got here, he went right to work, brought and installed a new master sprinkler control system and tested it to make sure it worked correctly. He also diagnosed and then changed out some sprinkler heads that were defective or not adequately watering their intended target. Further, he had to dig a couple of rather deep holes to repair the two broken pipes he detected and also to adjust some of the original pipe and sprinkler installation that had been poorly done. Jerry Poppy is a very nice man and an honest workman. He can be hard to catch, as he lives in an adjacent county and stays busy. The scope of his knowledge, skill, and experience is impressive.

Initial appointment was not kept due to service provider needing additional directions to reach my residence. I was not carrying my mobile, thus appointment could not be kept. Mr. Poppy arrived promptly the next morning, very apologetic, but quick to complete his work in a very professinal manner. Service cost was most reasonable for time and materials used.

Their service is excellent! I have gotten his card before, and then when I looked on Angie's List, he was on there so I went ahead and called him. Their service is quite expensive because they did a lot of work. The guy who came was on time and he did a good work. Also, he was knowledgeable, and so far I have been pleased with his service. We just started using our sprinkler system, but he replaced quite a few sprinkler heads. Everything seems to be doing well. He figured things out that others could not.

Actually started out searching for someone to trim my bushes because my regular guy had failed to do it all summer and they were pretty scraggly. Called this particular firm and the fellow said they would be out the next day and they were. We talked about the cost to trim bushes and then started talking about my irrigation system having low pressure and not performing optimally. He immediately came up with a solution to fix the problem without digging up my yard again as everybody else seemed to want to do AND his price was very reasonable. He and his crew came at the first chance - weather-wise - and got the solution installed. I was extremely happy with his honesty and his crew's performance. I will definitely use them again. I asked him about taking care of yard this summer and he wouldn't even agree to take the job yet because he didn't want to take work away from someone else -- namely the fellow that has been doing it. So I will contact my regular guy and if he isn't going to, then I will call Mr. Poppy and arrange for summer lawn maintenance.

Poppy Lawn Care and Sprinkler Repair did a good job. I got the feeling from him that he is destined to succeed in life. He was very dedicated, very honest and hardworking. We have been pleased with their service.
