Very happy with the work performed by Jerry and his wife. On time and completed the work in a matter of hours. My job was a bit of a pain because I have the old style system that is no longer allowed to be installed (only repaired). Highly recommend Poppy's Irrigation.

Mr. and Mrs. Poppy were professional in every way. They were prompt with all services and performed beyond our expectations. They provided instructions for operating the system. They came back out and shut the system down for the season. They were pleasant and helpful. They communicated well throughout the process. We are extremely satisfied with Poppy's work. I feel like they go the extra mile to make sure we are satisfied with their work. I feel confident that they will competently handle if problems ever arise.

The Poppy's team not only quickly found the valve box with the special equipment designed for this purpose, but also identified a leak that I was not aware of and the source/problem of the non-functioning sprinkler station. I found the Poppy team to be cordial, very knowledgeable and professional. In fact, they are also providing some sprinkler services to my neighbor. I highly recommend the for any service that you might require.

They ended up having to come again due to sand and rocks in the irrigation system. It took quite a while to find and fix and they had to put in five new valves. It cost more than I hoped it would, but it took a while to get it all done. Overall very pleased. Jerry is a really nice guy. I would definitely call him again. And I will in the fall to shut down the system.

Prompt, professional and excellent work. They had to return a couple of days later to complete some additional work I requested on our French drain. They came while I was gone and completed the job without me there. Great job! Will definitely use again.

Mr. Poppy is always very responsive when I call him with a sprinkler problem. He knows his business so well that it does not take him long to diagnose the problem and get to work on the solution. He is courteous and always calls before he comes. I don't ever have to worry that I won't get good service because this company doesn't know how to do anything but the best service.

System is now in tiptop shape. Everything works as it should. Replaced two defective sprinkler heads, adjusted those that needed adjustment, and straightened & raised one head that was out of place. Disabled an abandoned sprinkler head per my instructions. Jerry worked very quickly, was friendly and willing to listen to my concerns. Price was right for the work performed and I'll have him back in the future.

Jerry has been to my residence a number of times to repair leaks, fix a broken pipe at the back flow valve, locate hidden valves and repair wiring issues that were done by previous irrigation folks. In every case Jerry has arrived when he promised and completed each repair in a very rapid and efficient time frame. I would recommend his services to anyone.

Poppy and his very able assistant Josh worked me into their schedule during a very busy time in a stretch of hot, dry weather. They arrived at my property on schedule and worked very efficiently to repair my system. Since I am new to these type of systems, I very much appreciate their willingness to share information with me about the general working of the system and to enable me to do some of my own work in the future. I will definitely call on them again when there is a problem I cannot solve on my own.

Poppy arrived earlier than he had originally specified. I'm so used to having service persons give an 8-hour range of possible times, then show up near the end, so this was a pleasant surprise. The first order of business was to locate and repair the faulty valve. It took longer to find the valve than repair it. The next item required digging up a portion of the main line to pinpoint the leak. While doing so, it was determined that the original installation had been done in a strange way, with pipe materials going back and forth from PVC to copper. The time on-site to correct everything had me concerned for the labor costs, but when the bill was presented, I was rather pleasantly surprised. Poppy and his people are all friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I had found his company here on Angie's List, and will highly recommend him to anyone. I will be using his services again.

It went extremely well and our yard has never looked better. Jerry and his wife were extremely good at communicating. His crew was very hard working, friendly and polite. I found Jerry to be very competent and honest. The sprinkler system was well designed and works well. He killed the old grass (weeds) and then put down a new soil covering before laying the sod. He gave me advice on which grass variety was best suited for my yard. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with Jerry Poppy's work.

Man I cannot say enough about these guys as they worked very efficiently and assured me at every step and diagnosed the issues super fast! All estimates were provided up front and I was very pleased to get the job done correctly and surpass my expectations. They even worked through a sudden rainstorm!! Amazingly they had all the right fittings on hand for my system and was super impressed with that. I will have them come back for some other service issues I am having. Glad to have found this company! :)

Installed french drain, and connected to existing underground line approx 20 feet away. Installed landscape weed mat and framing. Installed large river rock and flagstone along entire side of house approx 40 feet or more. The job was completed with 3 of Poppy's employees, who were extremely professional and courteous. Great job by true professionals!!

He has a lot of work so ran late and had to reschedule to come back another day. Otherwise he would have been at my home past 9 PM. His dispatcher was very good about keeping in contact with me and scheduling. A week later when I noticed a leak a the BPZ he came right out and fixed the problem for no additional charge. I would definitely use him again.

Poppy was great. He was prompt and went to work right away. I wanted him to check my sprinkler system and he found a leaking pipe connecting the system. He quickly fixed the problem and verified the rest of the system was working well. I rated Poppy an "A" because he was professional, prompt and his service had a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Poppy to everyone.

I used Poppy's once before and decided to ask him for a quote to put a sprinkler system in and sod the yard with St. Augustine grass. We accepted the bid that included RPZ to prevent back flow, a sprinkler control valve, top soil and sod. As expected the project went very well and before I knew it the back flow valve was installed and signed off by the city inspector. Mr. Poppy tilled up the yard to remove dirt and tree mulch where a stump was ground down recently. It was also necessary to add top soil to level one side of the yard. We now have three zones that cover the yard perfectly and the grass looks like it has been there for years. Mr. Poppy and the people who work with him are knowledgeable, meticulous and tend to go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with their work.

He is always pleasant and accommodating. Always punctual. AND always figures a solution to any problems. He is awesome!

This could not have gone better. Mr. Poppy came by to give me an estimate and made a suggestion that saved me money. I accepted the estimate and he told me they would be here the following Friday and they arrived on time and started work promptly. To gain access to my backyard they removed a section of fence and replaced it when finished. It was muddy digging and hauled away the dirt/clay/mud from the trench. When they finished my yard looked better than when they arrived. The pump works great and with all this rain it has keep my yard from having standing water. We are very pleased.

I have used Mr. Poppy on several occasions over the past 1-2 years. Service has been great, work quality all the way. Very personable, friendly, courteous. Quick to respond, sets a time to arrive and keeps it. Anyone needing his services can find no one better to deal with. (BTW: price is reasonable.)

Jerry came out the same day that my husband called and showed up when he said he would. Even patiently explained the process of winterizing the sprinklers so that we can do it ourselves next year. Would definitely call them again.

Having lost my long time sprinkler guy to parts unknown, and having had bad experiences with others, I search Angie's List and found Jerry Poppy. He and his assistant came quickly and set to work solving the mystery. They had to search for some of the parts in the ground that control the different and quot;zonesand quot; of the system. The problem one turned out to be buried under a thick tangle of jasmine vines in a flower bed. Turns out the ground wire had been nicked by some drainage repair guys who had done work for me a little earlier. They were able to use another wire that was already in the bundle for the ground wire and so didn't have to replace the whole thing. They also checked my entire system while there and made a couple of improvements gratis. The service call and labor were not cheap, but he saved me money. They worked their tails off, stayed late and solved my problem. Thanks, Poppy!

Poppy was contacted in the morning and was able to come to my home, give an estimate and repair the pipe the same day. I am sure this isn't always possible but he is definitely not a procrastinater. My yard is on a hill and terraced with stone walls, so he gave different options for repair of another broken pipe. all in the interest of saving money and mess for me. All repairs were completed by the next day and I am very satisfied. I will be using him again in the fall for other work.

It works well and now I don't have to drag the hose all the way from the back yard.
