They replaced one piece of downspout damaged in installation at no chage. Like the fact that they offer a maintenance contract whiich can be renewed every year.

 + 0 moreIt went horribly overall and I spent 900.00 for nothing and then had to have another contractor come back to repair their work for another 1200.00 for a pin hole leak at the corner of my chimney. No one stands by their work anymore, its just a quick fix and pay me and if the problem is not fixed, its your problem again and again. I am so glad for Angie's List to expose all these shoddy contractors!!
Description of Work: I contacted PI Roofing for a small roof leak around my chiminey. I knew exactly where the leak was because my father had previously located it and did a small patch. I will selling the house and decided I would tidy up the area. Mind you the leak was stopped by my father. They sent a very nice guy and we agreed to the price and they sent someone the next day and started the repair while I was at work. When I arrived I could noticeably see the shingles were of TWO different shades. It was obviously not the shingles that matched my roof. The one they replaced my shingles with were brown and not black. Obvious, obvious tacky job. I contacted them and sent a really bad jerk to my house and as soon as he pulled into my driveway, he jumped out yelling, "oh these are your shingles, these are your shingles." I thought I would have to call the police. Luckily my father drove up because I figured they would listen to a man rather a female whom happened to own the house. This jerk continued yelling these "were her shingles." Light brown and black are really noticeable on a roof and these were not architectural shingles. To make a long story short, they sent the two other guys back to tear off the brown shingles and replace with the correct shingles. The older guy ended up giving the younger roofer a black eye because he agreed with me in stating the roof did not match! NO LIE!!! Needless to say the roof leaked exactly one year later! Wouldn't you know, right after the warranty!! I would not recommend PI Roofing to repair my dog house roof. I believe none of the guys are still at PI Roofing but this has always stayed with me. Everytime I hear their advertisement on the radio I just want yell, "Stay away from them."

 + 0 moreOverall, the work was fine. The estimate seemed fair and work began. On receiving the billing, P.I. Roofing included another roll of white metal used for the fascia, stating that the estimator has missed the second garage door. Upon calling them, they were unwilling to negotiate the additional charges. I told them that I wanted the remainder of the metal and was refused. I called the BBB and filled a complaint, and ended up paying 1/2 of the additional material. They admitted that the material would be used on another job, so it appears that these folks double dip on any left over materials.Would never recommend these people to anyone.
Description of Work: Replaced gutters and fascia behind gutter and around garage doors due to hail damage. Additionally installed leaf guard on gutters.

 + -1 moreThe price was good and the inspection for the estimate was thorough. The work was done quickly and well, but by a sub-contracted crew. The supervisor came out the day after to inspect it and found a few minor things he wanted them to correct, which they did very quickly. We did have an issue with a leak around a vent pipe, and contacted the company, but somehow there was a miscommunication, and we had to call again. The supervisor then made sure it was done quickly and correctly after that point.

 + -1 moreRoof work was delayed due to extensive regional damage. Work completed to my satisfaction. Problem started when I needed P. I.'s help completing insurance paperwork, something I couldn't avoid. The company is unwilling to notify Allstate Insurance Company of what three-tab shingles (and related items) would have cost when it purchased supplies for roof repairs and upgrade several months later. Prices increased after initial settlement offer due to regional shortages following an April 2011 tornado. In person, over the phone, and via e-mail, I pointedly and precisely stated my needs to the salesperson, an office worker, and the owner. I feel I have been patient since work was completed and paid for around early August 2011. To date and despite lodging a complaint with the Arkansas Better Business Bureau, P. I. Roof Maintenance has only sent a two-page mailing to Allstate that alluded to price increases with the following statements, "Also, the estimate was done using the August 2011 Price List and the project was not started until August" and "...Re-estimate the cost of the entire roofing project to reflect the cost of material and labor in August when the roof was installed." I was able to obtain needed information. However, Allstate Insurance Company needs price validation from someone other than the me and the roofing supply company will only communicate with tradesmen and related companies, not the public at large. P. I. Roof Maintenance/ P. I. Roofing and Home Solutions not notifying Allstate of what three-tab shingles and related items would have cost on material purchase day is additional money out of my pocket. To me, this is a very simple fix. To recap, I am only trying to recover the price increase difference between when Allstate calculated repair costs and when P. I. actually purchased material for repair and upgrade. This mostly centers on the price of 30-40 squares of three-tab shingles. I will gladly amend my complaint if P. I. does as offered. Likewise, I will also modify my complaint if apprised of significant errors or inaccuracies on my part. Past problems/concerns resolved. News one pledged to be addressed. Updates to follow.
Description of Work: Mostly, P. I. removed and disposed old/damaged shingles, installed additional weather proofing in valleys and around chimney (upgrade), installed ridge vents (upgrade), used heavier roofing felt (upgrade), and installed architectural shingles (upgrade). At my house December 11, 2011, I met amicably with PI's owner Joel and the original salesman Brian. Resolved issue regarding inadequate communication with Allstate Insurance Co. and a subsequent concern on the number of shingles purportedly needed and for which I was charged. I told Joel that we wouldn't be where we were if the company had followed through with adequate and timely communication after I wrote the final check. Brian, the salesman, called me two(?) nights prior to discuss the situation at the time. He and I discussed sequence of events to that point and its effects on me, him, and the company. After 'clearing the air,' addressing new gutter issues, and both of us wanting to progress, we scheduled a date to recalculate the quantity of shingles needed. Satisfied with his computations, matter closed. Owner on site simultaneously, I addressed gutter issues discovered after a recent rain deluge. Joel acknowledge them and stated the company would respond in a timely manner based upon the company's and my schedule. Subsequent to new shingling, my gutters were determined to be inadequate in rain deluges--not PI's fault. To his credit, Joel didn't come at me with a 'gang buster' attitude after an introduction, not always my experience in similar situations. I matter of factly stated my perspective and desires. We found common ground and addressed them. I don't hold an owner totally and immediately responsible for a company's actions unless he/she is the one executing those actions. However, I hold him/her absolutely and solely responsible for his reactions/culpability to actions executed in his/her name. Joel listened to me without undercutting employees. Reasonableness was applied for solutions. With the current state of affairs, barring negative outcomes to Joel's recent pledge, I'd recommend his company. I am additionally swayed (and was originally) with PI's 10-year warranty for work. All other companies offered a 1-year warranty. Some of my gutters require replacement; I will consider a PI offer.

Made additional efforts to make sure our satellite dishes were aligned properly. Another crew came 5 days later and ensured everything was perfect. PI Roofing also guarantees their workman ship for 10 years. Honest, reliable great employees.

Part of it was because they said that we had some hail damage so we contacted our insurance and they sent a guy out but they were never able to find any hail damage. I think that their clean up was excellent. Their work was professional. Their follow-up was a little bit weak but overall I was satisfied with their work. I would definitely recommend them to others.

 + -1 moreThe crew was set up and working hard before 8:00AM. A supervisor came a couple of times to check on the progress. They were through, packed up and cleaned up by the evening. They even had guys going around the house with large magnets picking up any nails that were missed in the initial clean up. The roof looks good and I was totally satisfied with their work.

They were very professional and the one problem was whoever did the blazing on the chimney came out and put it on too early in the year and it ran all over the place. It looks like cake icing all over my bricks, so they had to come out and redo it. Other than that they are fine. They were very responsive and showed up when they said they would.
Description of Work: We used PI Roofing And Home Solutions and they replaced the boots around the fence on our roof sometime in January and had to wait till the weather got warmer to seal our chimney so it did not fall apart and did that in May of this year.

 + 0 moreSlow to start the job but it was after a large hail storm in our area, so every house in a large area was getting a new roof. Roof done quickly once they started. Gutters also slow to start but extremely fast once started. My insurance company was very slow to pay and PI roofing was incredibly understanding.
Description of Work: Removed 2 layers of old roof, Replaced with new shingle roof, with repair to some wood underneath. Removal of old gutters and new gutters installed with ant-leaf topper, (like leaf guard gutters but not that brand)

There was one guy who was wonderful. Initially they said they were not sure when they would be able to get back but they got back within a reasonable amount of time.
