Didn?t expect near $700 to adjust sprinklers and replace 3 heads . I got ripped off. Would not recommend this company when the workers only get $15 hour, the company keeps the rest.

He arrived on time. Did the job quickly. Very little mess. At a very reasonable price. The only complaint I have is the super soil has plastic bits in it. I should have shopped around a found my own source of soil.

Make sure you do your research about the type of topsoil you want this company to cover your ground before the sod is installed. Do not assume that the company is going to purchase and put down the best quality topsoil for your money. Most established and reputable companies will make suggestions and show options as well as give you the prices for each. They could have purchased the black topsoil and nutrient-dense soil, but instead, the quality of the topsoil was thin and brown. Mr. Mckenzie told me that a black lining would be placed under the river rocks, but I did not see any evidence of that either. My husband and I informed Mr. McKenzie and his workers that we have a sprinkler system in the yard and to be careful when working in the yard. One of the workers turned on our sprinkler system to mark the sprinkler heads. My husband pointed out to them one sprinkler head in the middle of the front yard that they missed marking, and he marked it for them. The next day one of the workers tilled the ground and put down what was supposed to be the topsoil. While he did the job, he broke the sprinkler head that my husband told them was there, and it was clearly marked. Mr. McKenzie added the cost of the replacement of the sprinkler head into our final payment. All of the sprinkler heads were working before his workers started preparing and installing the topsoil, sod, and river rocks. We hired a company to do an annual servicing of the sprinkler system a week before the landscaping job started. All of the sprinkler heads worked perfectly. My husband checked all of them himself. When my husband questioned why we were being charged for the replacement of the sprinkler head that his worker broke, Mr. McKenzie responded that he would only charge us half of the price. The workers cut all of the lawn grass, put them in lawn bags on the curb on the north side of our house. I sent a text and called Mr. McKenzie to let him know the City of LittleRock announced on the evening news that the yard waste would not be picked up until further notice. I asked him to take the black bags of grass to the Solid Waste Landfill or the proper place to dump the bags. He said that he would come back the next morning, but they are still out on the curb. I guess that is why you do not pay people in full until they do everything to your satisfaction. Also, they left a thin residue of dirt across the driveway, sidewalk, and street. They could have easily blown the dirt with a blower or their push broom. Most companies do that especially when they want to show off the work that they have done to potential customers in the subdivision. I have been told that once a company gets its final check, the workers will not come back. This company has proven that they are no different. We are always willing to pay for quality work. I do not like paying for a job to be done and feel that the company took shortcuts to save themselves money, but did not concentrate on satisfying the customer. When it was time to pay the final payment, which I was told would be half of the total that he sent to me when I paid the deposit. He had added hundreds of dollars in taxes to the bill. Most reputable and established companies will tell you how much taxes you will owe or at least give you a percent of the taxes that will be charged. This is the lesson learned when hiring this company: ask for an itemized list of each type of material cost, labor, and taxes. The taxes were conveniently left out of my quote. Usually, companies ask a customer to sign a formal contract instead of sending a mire text or email message with a few amounts. Do not get impressed with the smile and kind words. Make sure this company does everything they say they will do. I am reading a review that he did a little extra work for someone. I guess his kindness had run out when he got to our job.

He did what I asked him to do plus a little extra work. I think highly of people that do a little extra, kindness goes a long way with me. And he was also a very nice and pleasant person.
