Good work, good price. Overall a nice and easy process.

J&Z Roofing did an outstanding job with our new roof. They come highly recommended, and were very professional. The crew was very respectful of our yard, and all belongings. When they were done they cleaned up, and made sure everything was placed back where they orginally found it. Would most definitely recommend them to anyone looking for roof maintenance.

These guys were awesome. Very informative and the work was done very quickly. Jose also took the time to explain the insurance claim process. What did it for me was the line of communication was always there.

I will never use this company again nor recommend them to anyone. Their workers took an hour long nap in our backyard. They left trash everywhere. It was supposed to be a 1 day job that took 2 complete days. They had no respect for our property (sat in wife's flower bed and did not place the materials where asked). They did not let us know they were here and just let themselves into our backyard. There was very little communication from the crew.

No repair done. Scott Wallace send a guy to look at it. The guy went up on the roof and said he knows what the problem is. I asked if he need to go in the attic. He said there is no need. The repair was scheduled for Monday. The Friday before the guy called and said he can do it late afternoon that day. I said I am at work and won't be home until around 5. That was the last I heard from the guy and Scott. Haven't received a bill. I assumed they didn't fix it. When I got home that day I didn't see any evidence of there being any workmen. I also wasn't expecting them to be gone before I get home. You would think that for a quote of $600 it would take a couple hours for the repair and there would be a bill.

Roof looks great, but crew left electrical loop unconnected. Manager is working with us and electrician to get it reconnected

They were timely, cleaned up well and all the workers were polite and courteous. We are well pleased with the outcome of the service given by this company.

Scott Wallace (sales) rep and Jose Rodrigues were the two main contacts. All aspects of the project were handled well....from Insurance assessment (Jose was present when assessor was here) to explaining work, interpreting insurance estimate (esp. "recoverable depreciation"), scheduling, arriving on time, providing quality work and being patient for payments (waiting for insurance checks). We were very satisfied with all aspects performed by this company.

Suddenly in the middle of a contract sale on my home, it was determined that the roof needed to be replaced. I was headed out of town for business and the realtors are telling me that we have to have the job done within days so closing isn't delayed. The roofer they recommended couldn't come until the next day and I wanted more than one bid so I contacted this roofer (Scott Wallace) through Angie's list. He understood my problem, made time to swing by that afternoon and worked on the estimate while he was there. He had his crew with him to measure and assess and it was quick and easy. They were probably at my home for less than 1 hour. The bid was in my email within the hour and I understood all the details of what to look for, how many squares were included in the bid, all the extras that this company provided, etc. They were able to work within our hurried schedule even. As it happened, the job was given to another roofer, who's bid was slightly less and who had done work for almost everyone involved in the transaction before. Scott was so professional about this whole process that he even followed up later to make sure everything went OK and that the house closing went through.

Very prompt, meeting appointments. Price was very agreeable and work was well done. Not the ordinary roofing job, but well done nevertheless.

Everything went well and done mostly on time. Took a little longer than expected, but nothing serious.

Every time Scott said either he or his crew would show up, he would show up. Most of the time it was right on time, but in the case it was not on time, he called or e-mailed you to let you know in advance so you would not be waiting for nothing. On the day of, the crew came early in the morning and did everything that was supposed to be done with all the work done, including the extras, by about 7-8 PM. The only caveat I would say is that unless you know decent Spanish, you may need to explain some things again to the crew on site if the leads for the crew who know enough English are not there. There was some confusion on minor things, but as a whole it was rectified once the crew more fluent in English arrived to straighten out the language barrier communication issues. As for price, this is not the cheapest option. The estimates are typically the middle quote, so do not come here expecting always the cheapest quote, but the quality is worth the cost.

Excellent job, excellent clean up

So far it is fine. It has been a positive experience. The people are very professional.

People walking by our house say it’s the prettiest roof they’ve ever seen and the credit goes to J and Z Roofing. After a recent hard rain, we had a leak in our foyer. A few days later, Scott Wallace drove up in his big white truck, rang the doorbell and said he noticed our roof was showing some age and possible damage. We agreed and the following Saturday Scott picked me up and drove me around the city looking at roofs. After reviewing several style and color options, we selected Presidential Shake triple laminate shingles by Certainteed. As soon as there was a window of good weather the guys began working and did not stop until the job was done. The house was built in 1932 and had multiple roofing layers including the original cedar shakes installed over skip lap. They worked 12 hours a day for 5 straight days removing the old layers, installing a new nailing base, and reroofing. Not only did they do the roof on the house, but also the garage, the flat roof at the entry and the covered roof on the deck. At the end of each day they did a excellent job of cleaning up the yard. They were very respectful of our home and surroundings and could not have been nicer to work with. We live in an old house so have had lots of workers in and out through the years. Needless to say J and Z Roofing are at the top of our list for quality and excellent service! We highly recommend this company.
