Genesis Lawn and Landscape

Description of Work: Genesis Lawn and Landscape performed several projects for us all of which were done to our utmost satisfaction. Our main project involved landscaping to reduce drainage problems caused by the location of our home near the bottom of a steep hill. An attractive rock-lined ditch was built across our backyard to catch and drain water. A block wall with an adjacent French drain was built on the upper side of the house to direct water into the ditch. Water from the back roof also flowed into the ditch through underground conduits that were installed and connected to the house's gutters. Gutters on the front of the house were connected to underground conduits that led to the street curb for discharge. All of these reduced water flowing across our property to prevent erosion and loss of grass and other vegetation as well as reducing the amount of water that flowed across out neighbors yards on the downhill side of out property. A major drainage problem was that our driveway is higher at the street than at the entrance to our garage and the end of it at the street was not high enough to prevent water from flowing down the driveway into the garage. To correct this, workers removed part of the driveway at the street and replaced it with a new section of concrete of proper height. Heavy rains since have proven this to be highly successful! Other projects, not drainage related, were installation of a lawn sprinkler system and hardscaping around one side of the house that interconnects to the block wall mentioned previously, and to a concrete patio at the back of the house, and to the rock-lined ditch. The work crews that helped on these projects were great. All workers were extremely nice, hard working, did excellent work, cleaned up the work areas at the end of each day, and sometimes put in a 12-hour day in order to work around bad weather conditions to keep us from being inconvenienced by the job being excessively extended. We have additional landscaping planned for the future and this will be the company we contact. Without hesitation I will recommend Genesis Lawn and Landscape to anyone.
