I could not be more pleased with my experience with Garcia and Sons. I shopped around and they were the lowest price. They by far had the most and best reviews on Angiel's List and now I definitely see why. Getting them scheduled to get a quote was a little tough because there has been so much bad weather in the area. But once I received the quote (which was 1 page and thorough and claims to match any competitors price) and realized they were the best price and heard so many good things about them there was no doubt who I was going to use and I booked them straightaway. I had to wait 2 weeks before they could fit me in but the wait was worth it (thankfully my roof wasn't leaking). They removed 1 layer of 3 tab shingles, replaced some rotten sub-sheeting, installed new architectural shingles, replaced 3 whirly birds, replaced 3 vent pipes, and replaced 1 2x4 sky light. They did this is in one day and 1 hour the following day. They could have finished in one day but it rained a little in the afternoon that slowed them down. Fundamentally I have no way of knowing right now if the actual roofing job is top quality or not. There are just so many short cuts a roofer can take and I'm no roofer so it just looks like a new roof to me. But based on reputation and the service and the professional they exhibited while on-sight I believe they did a top quality roofing job. What really sets these guys apart is their professionalism. The crew of 8 or so guys were so nice and friendly. They worked their tails off all day. And I felt very comfortable with all of them there while my wife and 2 young kids were there while I was at work. They needed an outlet and we don't have an external one so they asked my wife to plug in an extension cord. They absolutely would not come in the house. They found a turtle in the garden and brought it to the porch to show my kids. And the cleanup was what really sealed it. They took great pains to clean up every nail and debris. They setup our patio furniture in a nice arrangement and put a potted plant we had in the middle of the table. All of this was previously haphazardly strewn about the yard b/c that's what happens with young kids and exhausted parents. But not anymore. We have a new roof and a new patio. They created a little court yard with our furniture in my unusual shaped back yard. Someone has a future in decorating if the roofing thing doesn't pan out. What more is there to ask for... lowest price, most ratings on Angie's List, best rating on Angie's List, and obviously a well run crew that takes great pride in their work. I'd hire these guys to do anything around my house if they'd do it. Maybe they'll go into landscaping and I'll score a deal.... Bottom line I highly recommend Garcia and son's if you're in Central Arkansas. You will be hard pressed to find anyone better.

It went great. They were prompt on calling me for scheduling, arrived on time for the consultation and appointment.

After the roof was inspected and no major problems were found I was told the minor repairs could be taken care of right then or I could schedule a future appointment. I wanted to get it over with and an hour later Travis had made the repairs and was gone. His honesty was greatly appreciated.

EXCELLENT in every aspect of the job from estimate to completion. I had a new roof less than 48hrs from the estimate.

They are very courteous hardworking men and have excellent workmanship. They do what they say and they say what they do. Their work is very neat and they pick up after themselves when they are through. I highly recommend them, they were great!

I bought a house in June 2014. I knew the roof was bad when I purchased the house. I called Garcia and son based on an A rating on Angie's list and approximately 100 positive reviews. The inspector came out and said the roof was ok. It just need some repair around the chimney. That was a very pleasant surprise and felt confident that I would let them repair it and not spend the money to replace. They came out and installed a ridge vent and the repairs. I got up on my roof the following day to inspect the work they did. The ridge vent is fine. No problems with that. The repairs to the chimney were VERY poor. They had replaced a vertical board on the chimney, but left a rotted board at the base. There was also a very soft spot 2 feet from the chimney. I called them and wanted them to come back. They came back and I saw them tear down the chimney and completely rebuild it. They told me that they also replced the wood all around the chimney to fix the soft spot. I was satisfied at the time. Over the past few months, my chimney has slowly started to lean forward. I went up on the roof and now it is soft all the way around the chimney. I went into the attic and see where they replaced all the wood with OSB boards when the rest of my roof is plywood. Some research shows that OSB is acceptable for roofing, however, the roof is soft there and the chimney is leaning, so wither they installed bad wood, or it has already gotten wet. I have now gotten some other roofers to come out and stated the roof should have been replaced due to several bad spots and a very poor installation from the beginning. Now, I am out $1650 due to Garcia claiming they could repair the one spot they saw a problem. Then they did the repair so poorly, they came out and spent an entire day to fix it right. Now, it is in worse shape than it was. I do not trust their inspector to see what needs to be done, nor do I trust that they will perform the work properly. I will not be including them in my choice to install a new roof and want everyone to know of my experience with this A rated company.

It was okay. They were fair. I had some issues that they had to come back to fix which they really never did fix. But it was okay. It was a simple thing and I ended up doing it myself. I called them out here and they don't know what to do about it.

Everything went well and we are scheduling them for even more work on other properties, including Mom's.

Excellent in every respect. The person doing the estimate was also asked to evaluate the current condition of the roof of our home and assured us that we did not need a new roof at this time (trustworthiness established!). He gave us a price for replacing the old gutter screen sand installing new helmet design gutter guards. This was the final price which also included any taxes due as well; no surprises! Workers arrived on time, had all the necessary materials and tools, knew exactly what they needed to do and finished the job before leaving with the left over materials picked up. There were absolutely no problems with their workmanship and their relationship with was completely professional. They even trimmed some problematic overhanging tree branches without charging additionally. We are completely satisfied and when we need more roofing work, we will be calling them first.

My appointment was at 1:00 p.m. I looked out in my back yard around 10:00 and I saw someone walking around. I went to the door and he said he was here to install my downspout. A friend of mine met with the man who originally came out to measure and told him where to put the downspout. It had already been decided. This guy said he could only put it in a certain spot because he didn't have the right elbows to put it on the side. I said I didn't know where my friend said to put it but I wanted it where they had originally planned. When my friend came by later he told me he had put it in the wrong place. He was afraid where he put it that water would run under the house. He hooked a hose to run the water away from the house. I am sure it was written down in the orders where the spout went but he came without the right equipment so he put it in the wrong place. I feel I was taken advantage of. He had plenty of time to go get the right elbows since my appointment wasn't until 1:00. I couldn't recommend them to anyone else because they didn't follow what was agreed on.

I really wish this was a positive review. I feel bad writing it because the times I did interact with Allison, she was very nice and eventually the work was completed. However, for some reason, I had major communication issues with the company. I went with Garcia and Sons because of their great rating on here. I called and requested an estimate, they came out fairly quickly (within a week) and emailed an estimate. However, the estimate didn't include everything that I'd asked for. It took two months to get a revised estimate. To be fair, I requested it and did not follow up as my grandmother died. We emailed back and forth a few times once I followed up. We finally picked a day and they came out to do the work. I should have checked the eave more thoroughly because they didn't complete everything. It wasn't a big deal, just some trim work (the same thing they'd left off the original estimate) and they said they'd be out to do it the following week. It took several weeks and two trips to complete a fairly simply job. I did not mention Angies List to them nor did I redeem their coupon. At the end I just wanted to be finished and they probably did too.

Not particularly well. The estimator indicated that we could expect a ballpark number of around $800 and acknowledged the Angie's List coupon. Said he would email an estimate that afternoon. After a few days, I called the company and our estyimate had been misplaced. They apologized and sent an estimate later that day via email. Since the estimate was nearly twice what we anticipated we looked to other contractors to do the work. I can only surmise that this contractor did not need or want the work since it was a smallish job of around three squares.

I am a long distance homeowner and decided upon Garcia & Son Roofing based solely upon Angie's List reviews. I am very satisfied with the results. April was a pleasure to deal with on the phone. The work was completed promptly and professionally. I would recommend them to others.

We took some storm damage and lost a few shingles. Also my gutter had major problems because the people I had used years ago didn't install it correctly. I called, they were here in less than an hour to give me an estimate for the repair to the roof and to replace the gutter. The crew arrived the next morning and had everything done, and cleaned up all the rubbish with in 3 hours. I found this company here on Angie's list when I needed my mother's roof (next door) repaired, and was impressed with them. When it was time to have her roof replaced, it was the same great service. So when I needed work done on mine, they were the only people I needed to call.

Arrived on time for the estimate, provided detailed written estimate including clean up, decking repair limits (2 included, additional at $40 ea). Arrived on time with a large crew. Covered exposed shrubbery and A/C units. Work for a 24 square roof was completed in 5 1/2 hours. Post work clean up included yard and shrubbery magnets, leaf blower and ground walk through by crew. Work was completed per the contract. Very pleased and have recommended them to another friend who needs a roof.

They were very efficient, a crew worked very hard for three hours and replaced my carport roof, removed the shingles and old plywood, then replaced all the plywood decking(24 sheets of plywood) and added a ice/water layer and reshingled roof. Very happy with quality and how they left everything clean after it was done.

It was an older house and the roof has a curve in it and they were going to fix it. They didn’t do a good job of fixing it. They gave us an estimate and nobody got on the roof while as I was there while they gave the estimate. He just looked at it and gave me an estimate. It didn’t really go that well. The roofing product that I picked, he called me back and said that it was no longer in there and he would fix one that was better adjust in and they put up a kit that was totally different. I didn’t like the color or anything but I am stuck with it. I didn’t have a good thing with them. I had two family members that were going to do it and they took the old roof off, they took off all the old shingles. So they just had to put new roof and shingles on and they didn’t have to do the other work plus they didn’t have to pick up the roof and shingles that the other people had taken off. So they didn’t pick up anything as they didn’t take it off. So he quoted the price and didn’t walk up to see what he needed to straighten. It wasn’t a good deal. The quality was smooth and they laid the shingles as it should be. I think the communication was bad as he didn’t communicate the amount of work h saw on the roof because he didn’t really walk-in and check it before he brought his crew up. I think that he should have told me that it was a totally different color than the other part than the other one that I choose. They were there on time but they didn’t get the roof straight because they rushed through it.

Very good work - they even painted our metal chimney (did not expect that!) Cleaned up well.

I wouldn't trust my roof with any other company. Garcia & Son's crew was fast, professional and efficient. The pricing was very competitive and they offer superior products as standard instillation. They also have a much better work warranty than the other roofers I contacted. My roof is beautiful and my property was left cleaner than it was when they showed up. Stellar company and wonderful results!
