Fairway Lawns

Have had Fairway spraying our lawn for over 10 years and would definitely recommend them. Jeremy and Rodney have done a great job! Always arrive on time, courteous, and explain on the invoice what they sprayed and what we can do t improve our lawn.

They gave me a date and came sooner. First application had some effect, but I called them again and they came back for another application for no charge. I would hire them again.

Great service. I love working with this company now that it has new management that has turned it around!

There were some weeds left so they came back to respray for free.

On time, application worked quickly. We stopped using them only because our landscaper offered to do the same for less.

Chemicals used are not quite as effective as those used by TruGreen, but TruGreen is not available in my area. (Had TruGreen in my previous house.) Cost for 5 applications/year seemed a bit excessive, so only use 3 -- like my next-door neighbor

The staff is great. Their work is great. They are good about their clean up. They are prompt with their work and I like them.

The local manager came out and reviewed my yard and plan and we reached an agreement on what to do in the next year. I was very pleased with the fact that he took the time to do this and look forward to using this service in the future. The prior review was not meant to be a "D" overall, but rather a "B". I contacted Angie's List when I saw the error, and did not get a response. I am giving them an 'A' now as i believe they went the extra mile to be sure I was satisfied with the service!

We used Fairway Lawns from 2004 to 2012, the serviceman was very nice and we liked him. Our grass contined t o get in worse condition every year. After calling supervisors out year after year, we made the decision not to use them again

Overall it went ok. The weeds were taken care of. I would have appreciated more input into how to improve bare patches of the lawn. I would often just get a suggestion "keep watering lawn" on the invoice, when it would have been nice to have a check-in phone call from the service.

Both services are great, and save me an immense amount of time. I've used Fairway lawns for 21 years. There service is great, and they handle any issue that I have had very promptly and completely.

I told him where and what I wanted sprayed and he related it back to me, then he started his work. He had brought an extra tank because of the large area to spray. He stayed at it until everything had been treated.

Great. I have an ongoing contact with Fairway Lawns and have used them for several years. Jim always calls before he comes which I really like as it gives me time to gather any questions/concerns I may have and be home if possible. He is always responsive and makes additional stops when I call with a question.

Excellent. Always leaves notice of treatment on the front door with instructions on whether to water or not, etc.

I like them because I do not have to be there when they perform their services, they leave me the bill every time they are here and I like that they drop me helpful hints about lawn care that are specific to my lawn. They tell me the things that I can do to improve my lawn. I also like that they are local, convenient and have a web site. They charge me $35 per treatment, but that's based on the square footage of the lawn.

I called to get an estimate and the service went to my home the very next day to visually inspect it and give me a firm estimate. However, the reception/service on the telephone had estimated it very well from my description. She also explained very patiently what services they offer, how often, and how the process works. I've assigned a 'B' grade here because this is still expensive, although not quite as expensive as TruGreen.

I used them for a little bit but not too long because they changed their pricing on me. My grass was nice but they charged too much. I will not use them again.

They did great. I was able to switch to them for a minimum cost from a national provider. They were already handling my lawn care, so I decided to give them a chance with my termite control. I have been very pleased with both services and would highly recommend them.

Service was great the first year. Lawn looked better and weeds gone. Second year totally different story. Lawn started to look bad (as if I had no service and weeds started coming back). During a visit by another contractor (Terminix), that guy told me I had mites in my grass and he explained what I needed to do to treat it myself. Coincidentally, Fairway Lawns treated my lawn 3 days later. As luck would have it I was home that day and I watched the tech treat my yard and my neighbor's yard in a total of … drum roll please … 8 minutes! 4 minutes per yard! Cost? $45 for 4 minutes of work (that comes out to a charge of $675 per hour!!!). No mention of a mite infestation! Just an extremely poor application of a liquid spray that I could plainly see didn't come close to adequately covering/treating my lawn (just the areas where the stream hit). NO WONDER I HAD WEEDS AGAIN! Called the company the following day, explained my weed problem, my mite problem, and what I had witnessed the tech doing (or actually NOT DOING). Phone rep was very apologetic and said they'd come out an treat for weeds in affected areas. Told her 'no thanks'. I hired them to do a job and from what I had witnessed they could not be trusted, did not do their job, and I wasn't going to keep burning through cash for no return. Won't use them again.

They give very good detailed instructions on lawn care after their treatments and advice on what to do in the future with the lawn. They are very good at describing lawn care.

I have been using Fairway for about three months and the results so far have been very good. They are punctual and always let me know in advance when they are coming. My lawn is looking very good now and I don't see any weeds, crabgrass or other problems at this time.

.They burned my yard. They spilled chemicals across my yard and burned it. I guess the guy had a hole in his hose and it wa spilling these chemicals all over my lawn and it took over a year for it to grow back in. I won't use them again.

Fairway Lawns provided good service at a fair price for three years. My consternation with this company is not with their service nor their price. It is with one of their telephone customer service representatives. I called the company to inquire about the number and cost of annual treatments. The telephone representative (a male) consistently interrupted and cut my remarks short. He stated three times, "You must understand", and then felt the need to give me a lecture on "the nature of capitalism". Well, I'm 66 years old, comfortably retired after a very successful career, and have a masters degree in business. I don't need an elementary lecture on capitalism. I did not cancel my service with this company immediately as I wanted to shop around for another provider. I thought there are too many lawn service companies that don't feel the need to tell someone that he is stupid. After approximately three weeks I contracted with another lawn service provider and canceled my service with Fairway Lawns.

I have a decent size (about 10,000 square feet) lawn. Back yard had taken a HUGE turn for the worse in regards to weeds, thanks to a poor experience with one of Fairways competitors. My lawn went from being the envy of the neighborhood to an average lawn in ONE summer. I noticed my neighbors yard went from being average to now being the envy of the neighborhood. They use Fairway. Fairway ran a special on their initial application of weed killer. They estimated the total square footage of my lawn by using a satellite image while I was on the phone with them. Told me all of the up front costs and gave me an estimate based on the square footage of my lawn. They stated they would inform me with any variations from original quote. There were none. within 4 days they had applied the 1st application. Noticed weeds dying shortly thereafter. Still too early for a total thumbs up but I will update my experience in mid-summer. Their prices are fair and their service is very quick and friendly. They also offer a $50 credit as a "bird dog" fee. They do not typically work on Saturdays which is why I graded a B for responsivness.

There is nothing really that stands out about their service. It is a very normal service. We have had no problems with it. It is just maintenance-type stuff. We had some lawn problems that they have never really been able to resolve or patch up. We don't know about their price, which keeps going up. We don't have an idea about the price of others.
