Great job.

The quotes were both too high. I did not end up using them. He came out and gave me a quote, but I had already hired someone else. So, I had some yard work that I wanted done at the time and Dante ended up doing that. He was very nice and professional. He was very energetic and willing to do anything I wanted to do. The price was too much for what I wanted. It was too pricey.

Short Summary (for the impatient people): Peter does excellent work, cost is very reasonable, and he will call you prior to coming over to your residence. He is also very professional, has a fantastic attention to detail, and actually cares to minimize the mess made during demolition and cleans up after himself. A++++ Highly recommended!! Will definitely hire again!! - Eric Stockman - Police Officer Long edition: About two weeks ago I was looking through Angie's List to find a contractor to install a new fireplace surround. I found Dante's page and seen that he had several good reviews (for good reason I have come to find out!) about his services. So I call his number to inquire about what he thought it may cost to perform the job without seeing it, and Peter advised it could range from $150 to $300 dollars for a highly custom tile job. I was a little hesitant because I was expecting a price to be more like five hundred dollars or more because we had the Carpet Barn (Maumelle/NLR) install our backsplash and it was about $1200.00 (overpriced materials and labor...never again!) So a few days later I decide to call Peter back to have him perform an estimate for our fireplace surround. He was pleasant to speak to and we made an arrangement for the estimate. Well the day came for the estimate and Peter calls me prior to our arranged time to tell me he was going to be a little late due to an unforeseen family issue, which was no big deal I was just glad that he called to let me know. Peter then arrives at the time he said he would and performs the estimate, and blows me away by saying it would only cost two hundred dollars to remove the old tiles and install the new ones. (If you have never removed tiles before it is a pain in the rear!!). Baffled by the low cost estimate, I arrange another appointment for Peter to come back and perform the install. Well learning my lesson from The Carpet Barn, I head to Home Depot and Lowes with my wife to pick out tiles. Just a word of warning, do NOT purchase tiles from a flooring store!! You will be charged approximately double what it cost at Lowes or Home Depot for the same product!! A couple days before my scheduled appointment, I call Peter to ensure that we were still on for the appointment, and again he was very polite and said that we were. On the day of our appointment, Peter impressed me by arriving early and immediately began working diligently removing tile. I actually felt bad watching him work his butt off because removing tiles are no easy task and it creates a HUGE mess. While Peter was working, he explained everything he was doing and the reason why it was important which I found to be really informative. He also was respectful by keeping the dust and debris to a confined area for easy cleanup. After a few hours Peter completed the removal and installation of the new tiles and left for the day. I was in awe of how GREAT his work was, and for me being a cop I tend to be rather cynical about everything, but this, no THIS looked AMAZING! Long story short, I would highly recommend Peter as a general contractor! Working with him has been a fantastic experience which is a real rarity now-a-days because most contractors overcharge and perform sloppy services. His work was performed in a most professional manner, and Petr exhibited great pattern design work with the shower tiling, incorporating 8” and 16” tiles, and 3” bull-nose tiles in a most pleasing “non-random random” pattern. He also constructed a solid masonry bench seat in the shower area that will remain in place when the house around it collapses into the sands of time! Petr had a very old-world sense of craftsmanship in everything he did. He was very flexible in his work scheduling, kept the work site tidy and clean, and was a joy to watch as he flew from place to place… definitely a Type A worker! And his prices were more than fair. There’s no way I could have afforded this project without his contributions. Would I hire Dante Remolding again? You bet! Thanks, Pete!

I asked Peter to give me a quote on refinishing the hardwood in my newly vacant home so I could get it ready to rent out. We lived there for 8 yrs and the finish and wax had worn off a bit. We set a time to meet at the property so he could look it over. He didn't show. I called him after he was an hour overdue and he was very apologetic. He said he was tied up with another job and the time got away from him. OK no big deal. It happens. We rescheduled. The second time, he did come on time. He looked the place over, took some measurements and started working up a price. The whole time he's telling me about a laminate he would like to put down. I told him I wanted to keep the floor I had. It's the original wood from when the house was built in 1928. It was decent shape. A few gaps here and there from shifting but the boards were not worn thin and no nails were showing. He says "ok" and he'll send me an official quote. He calls back a few days later and says he cannot do the job because my floor is unable to be refinished. And he brings up the laminate again. I started to tell him that I was disappointed to hear that and I did not want to put a laminate down. He freakin hangs up on me!! I don't know why he was pushing this laminate thing so hard but I would NEVER put a laminate down over a perfectly good hardwood floor. And I know the floor is fine because the guys I had come and do the work said so as well. They did a great job and my old floors look AWESOME now. I would definitely not recommend this joker to anyone. I would however recommmend Champion Wood Floor Design in N. Little Rock

The representative from Dante Remodeling didn't appear real professional. He didn't do anything wrong, but he was very quick about it. Though he didn't do anything wrong, he did misdiagnosis the problem. He came out the same day I called.

I was very pleased with his work. He did what he said he would do, and I would use him again.

I would give them B overall.

We thought our table top was real wood but after Dante got the table to his shop and started sanding then he dicovered it was a partical board material with a veneer finish he immediately informed us that he didn't want to proceed until he had discussed the problem with us. We decided to paint rather than stain the table top. We were very pleased with the outcome.

If you are looking for someone who is prompt, professional, talented, and reasonably priced you need look no further. Petr removed an old floor furnace from the hallway in an older house we are updating. He recommended several good and cost effective options on how to deal with the big hole left behind in a hardwood floor that was built so long ago that you can't find hardwood to match it anymore. We ended up having him make a custom hardwood inlay to fill the gap (our idea, not his) - as a way to provide a beautiful and solid floor, while paying homage to the original construction of the home. It turned out absolutely beautiful! We were intending to remove the nasty old linoleum from the hall bath and replace it with vinyl plank flooring ourselves, but Petr quoted a great price on laying ceramic tile. After seeing his level of craftsmanship and work ethic, we figured we couldn't go wrong - and we were right! He did a beautiful job removing the old floor (including the sheet rock that someone had used as a subfloor in the linen closet - I've seen it all now!), installing backer board, and laying the tile that we purchased ourselves from the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. To sum it all up, Petr is diligent, meticulous, and one of the finest craftsmen we have ever worked with. You can bet we will be calling him next time we need something done that is "over our heads" in the DIY arena.

I was impressed with his apparent expertise at first, very disappointed in his lack of professionalism in follow through.

The hardwood floors are beautiful. They did a great job on the installation. The ceilings look great. The backsplash still looks good. Everything looks great. They did a good job. They came out when they said they would. They stayed on my job and did not do other jobs. They stayed at my job until it was finished. There were some delays in coordinating all the subcontractors so we did not finish exactly on time. But they were things out of his control. They did not juggle me with another job. They got it done pretty quickly. They did not let my cat out! I did not do a lot of price checking but I felt their price was right what I thought it would be.

My father's house had suffered extensive damage when a water line burst and flooded the upper floor. Petr was great to work with, finding lower cost solutions and providing a higher quality result than any of the other companies I had received bids from. The house looks great having had everything from sheetrock replacement and painting to new carpet throughout, hardwood flooring and ceramic tile.

Along with doing flooring, Donte does remodeling, painting and tile work. He is really nice and the floor looks beautiful He is also very reasonable. The workers he had with him were also very nice. I trusted them enough that I felt I could go off and leave them alone in my home to work. They will travel anywhere to work to. Everything is still holding up well. Honestly the floor looks so beautiful; it makes my other floors look bad.
