e It did not go well at all. For about four weeks I had been having trouble with my Comcast Internet service. I would call Comcast and try the self help instructions and send a refresh signal to my modem but that never helped and the customer service folks could not fix it from their end so I made my first appointment for a technician to come out. The technicians are supposed to call 30 minutes before they are scheduled to arrive. This one called when he was already at the house. Instead of replacing my modem and router, he said I had a bad connector and replaced it. My Internet worked for a couple of days and then went out again. My boyfriend went outside and jiggled the connector, which restored the Internet service. A little over a week later my Internet went down again. I scheduled a second technician visit. This time the guy said the previous technician didn't put the connector on correctly. He fiddled with it and said that I shouldn't have anymore problems with my Internet. A week later it went out again. I was livid. I called on a Saturday and the customer service guy said that he was going to put in a expedited work order for Sunday and that I shouldn't leave the house because there was no guarantee when the technician would arrive, but it would definitely be before 6 p.m. At 4 p.m. I still hadn't heard from the technician so I called customer service. They said a tech had gotten my work order at 2 p.m. I never heard from anyone that Sunday. When I called customer service Sunday night the customer service guy said that an expedited work order was not a guarantee that a technician would actually come to the house. Then why did I have to stay at my house all day? I demanded to talk to the supervisor because I wanted a telephone number for whoever supervises the technicians but he said they didn't have such information. I told them that if a technician that a technician did not come the next day then they might as well discontinue my service with them and I would switch to AT&T. On Monday, a technician and a supervisor came to the house and changed my modem. They also replaced the cables from the main line to the house. The supervisor told my boyfriend that Comcast stopped giving out the type of modem I originally had many years ago because it was so unreliable. He also said that we would have to buy our own router if we wanted wi-fi. Again, I was outraged. I called customer service Monday night and told them that they provided the first router and they should provide this one. The customer service agent was very nice and said she didn't know why I was told to buy a router because Comcast has a modem/router combo. I was shipped to me the next day.

I have two service problems with Comcast. One with the Cable TV, every time I played a show from my DVR or on-demand the audio was very low. I contacted Comcast several times and they could not resolve the issue. They promised me there technical team would contact me and help to resolve but I never heard from them.
Description of Work: I ordered a bundle, TV, internet and phone. The installation went fine but after a couple of months I started having problems listed below.

Horrible experience with this Monopoly.
Description of Work: This is the third time I have requested new service with Comcast. This time was to relocate my business from a commercial location to a home office. The technicians were much less that professional, they were illiterate clowns. The cabling is unsightly and un-even, the holes in my walls was at a funny angle, and the connection were loose when I checked them. The service has yet to perform up to standard. My connection requires that I click on my browser then wait approx 10 minutes before the connection is made. Yes, I have tested my own equipment, and changed everything but the SMC Gateway...The problem is that Comcast does not care about fixing the issue...but the monthly invoice was in my mailbox the second day after the installation!

I know there are probably a lot of people dogging Comcast and I'd first like to say that I'm not here strictly to hurt them as a business. I enjoyed using Comcast's services for tv and internet for countless hours and I'm thankful for the quality of their product (when it was in working order). That said, I do no recommend Comcast to anyone. In fact, I discourage anyone from using Comcast unless nothing better is available. Comcast, from the very beginning, had a very unprofessional presence through their agents. The technicians that came to connect the tv / internet were able to get the television working with little effort but the more experienced of the two men encountered some kind of problem in the process of hooking up the internet. While the apprentice or trainee that was with him waited, he sat and watched tv (with me) on my couch. I didn't invite him to..but he did anyway. I'm not really one to make waves and nothing about his behavior intimidated or upset me particularly, I just found it very inappropriate and unusual. After about 45 minutes of sitting with my new cable friend whilst his superior worked, the other technician basically gave up and blamed my computer for what was happening. The two left without resolving the issue (which I resolved later on my own by calling customer service for my computer, comcast, the router company, etc.). Beyond my initial encounter with those guys, the individuals that I talked to on the phone to arrange bill payments and deal with outages were often about as unimpressive. As a matter of fact, the only Comcast employee that I can remember having a positive interaction with was a young guy at the Shackleford location to whom I returned my receiver box after I disconnected my service (who was very pleasant and respectful). Overall, I'd say the performance was shotty, the people were less than pleasant, and more often than not, less knowledgeable than I expected from professionals who do the job that they do on a daily basis. This is all just one guy's opinion, but there are better deals out there with more reliable and friendly companies. Comcast should be considered only in areas where other providers are unavailable.

First of all, when I had my services installed, the technicians were extremely unprofessional. They were clowning around with each other and being very immature. I was both afraid to be there alone with them, and afraid to leave them alone in my apartment. I was afraid they would steal things or cause damage. One technician kept saying that he didn't care what his boss thought because he's "gonna ditch this job soon". While I had service with them, the internet service was spotty at best, constantly going on and off. VOD only worked part of the time, and whenever I would call, the rep would be in India or the Phillipines. One rep actually kept me on the phone for 20 minutes while she talked about America and Twilight!! There were multiple billing problems as well. At one point, I needed a technician to come out and fix my tv service. The technician never showed up to the appointment! I called customer service and the rep said they would reschedule the appointment and give me a $30 credit due to the inconvenience. On the day of the 2nd appointment, I called to confirm whether the technician would be there, and customer service told me they did indeed have an appointment in the system for me, and that the technician had until 8:00 to show up. At 8:30, the technician STILL hadn't shown up, so I place yet another call to customer service. The rep told me that the technician had until 9:00 to show up. At 9:15, the technician still had yet to show up. So I called customer service for a 4th time that day, and was told the appointment had been canceled because they don't do evening appointments. Because of the inconvenience, I was promised a $50 credit on my bill, and they would make sure a technician would be there as soon as possible the next evening after I got off work. Finally the technician showed up, and the problem was fixed. Then, upon receiving my bill, I see a $50 CHARGE instead of a credit, and the charge was for PHONE SERVICE I'D NEVER HAD!! I call customer service AGAIN to deal with this. The rep told me that she couldn't authorize a credit on my account and would have to get a supervisor. I waited on hold for more than 20 minutes! 20 MINUTES!! Finally a supervisor gets on the phone and just says they'll look into it. Then she hung up on me. I waited 20 minutes for that?? At least the charge was actually fixed! I never actually received the credit I was promised. but at least I didn't have an EXTRA $50 charge anymore. That was the last straw for me. I switched over to AT&T U-verse and GOOD RIDDANCE to COMCAST!!

I think they’re pretty good. We've never had any problems with billing. My husband is still sticking with them, so I guess we'll continue to use them.

There not much of a choice, if you want high-speed internet. They're not responsive We have had air logs on our router at home, and get disconnect pretty much on a daily basis. We call them they say they will give you a credit off your bill, However I never see the credit.

The service people were wonderful. Their responsiveness of the company is not very good. It is hard sometimes to get through to get to a customer service. The individual is extremely pleasant when you get to customer service. They have a long hold and they give you a big window of time when you need to be at home in case they might come. They do call if they are late. The monthly charge is quite expensive, though the service people don't charge anything.
