An inspection of the crawlspace was performed. Kevin was on time, polite, and inspected all areas of concern that i had. Would recommend.

Kevin is a very professional and competent home inspector. He has been doing this for a long time, and the experience shows in the information he provides. This was actually the 2nd time we used him, the 1st time we walked away from a house based on the home inspections findings and we are very glad we did.

The inspector did the inspection very promptly after I called him and prepared a very nice report that was very easy to read and understand. Included in the report was pictures that showed exactly what he was talking about in the report.

Kevin was fantastic. I have never seen a more thorough inspection by anyone else. He went to the home that morning and was given access by the selling realtor. After approx 3 hours, he let us know the inspection was done, and met us for a verbal summary of what he found. He went over the "big points" of the inspection, and promised a more thorough report in a few days to follow, delivered to us via email. The report went way above and beyond the normal points like "the roof is old", or "the air conditioner makes a funny sound". He was incredibly specific, detailing every appliance and feature of the home. A few examples were - Manufacturer and manufacturing date of each appliance in the home - Grade and slope of property and impact on water drainage - Temperature difference between registers and intake for HVAC - Moisture levels under the home, inside the home, in the attic One of the really detailed bits that impressed me were the fuses in the breaker box. He told me that the specific brand used was recalled in 1980-something, and gave us the details of the manufacturer's recall. We ended up buying the home, and using Kevin's report as our ammunition to get the seller to fix problem areas. Every single item that Kevin pointed out "would need to be fixed soon" has broken, and knowing that in advance meant we were never taken by surprise when having to make repairs.

During the inspection he did just as he had stated and the inspections was thorough and effective. Kevin was not only prompt, but very professional, from the initial phone call to the day of the inspection . Upon arrival he explained briefly what he planned to inspect and about how long it would take to complete the task. Once the inspection was finished, he sat down with us and covered some of the main details of the inspection, as well as explaining what he found in great detail. This home had previous buyers who had their own inspector come in but missed issues that Kevin was able to find.. Kevin is not only very knowledgeable, but he took his time answering our questions and never made us feel like he was in a hurry. I was given Kevin Barre's nae by a friend who had heard very good things about his home inspection service. I want to add my review of "all A's" to his work. He was thorough, professional, found many smaller flaws in a house that we were considering, but also pointed out the strong points. He was never rushed and took all the time necessary to answer the questions my husband and I had. I will most certainlly use him again the next time I need an inspection service. We are extremely pleased and happy to highly recommend him. We felt we received the best home inspection we have ever had.

The date might be wrong but we've used him twice now. He pointed out problems with the first house that would have cost us $50k to replace within the first year. He did a very good job, checking everything and writing a comprehensive report. We are grateful that he saved us from that money pit. The second house he looked at, again his report was of a very high standard. He uses pictures to illustrate the issues he points out. We are very happy with his services and would recommend him to other people. The only possible negative is he seems over cautious sometimes but that's his job and it's better that than missing things.

Being in the military, I was unable to attend the inspection. After reading the report, I felt as if I was there. His work was very honest and it is so hard to find someone who will do an honest job without the person there but Mr. Barre was the one! His prices were very competitive I will definitely use him again if I decide to buy more property in the LR area. A must use for military personnel who are coming into LR and deciding to buy a house!

He was prompt in meeting my husband and I at the designated time. He explained what he was going to look at and what was not going to be included. He went to work and when he was done, we went over his findings. He was very thorough and explained and showed us what needed to be addressed. There was an issue with the type of breakers on the panel. After many conversations back and forth between the seller and us, Mr. Barre ended up meeting the seller's electrician to get the problem resolved. He went over and above with no additional fee. P.S. We did not live near the home we were trying to purchase. His report is very professional and he delivered it to our e-mail within 2-3 days.

After his inspection he took the time to explain everything. When the report arrived in my email it was very concise and understandable.
