From experience I can tell you not all inspections are the same. Mr. Kevin Barre performed a very thorough and professional inspection. I was very happy with the quality of the inspection report. The report was clear and easy to understand. Mr. Barre used pictures to describe conditions that he found and gave great written detail as to what exactly was wrong or what conditions may cause a future problem. If you call him you will find that he is very knowledgable of both new and older homes, building types and acceptable practices. With a home inspection it is as much about what they don't find as it is with what they find. I can recommend Mr. Barre with confidence.

Story not finished yet. Repairs have not been done on the house. But from my basic knowledge, I know they have to be.

He did a very thorough inspection, and pointed out a lot of things that I had missed. He's not much for small talk but that's not really what he's there for, either. His services were done well and in a timely manner. His prices aren't extremely low, but they are about on par with his competitors. I would consider using him again on my next home purchase.

Mr. Barre performed a total inpsection of my mom's home in Pine Bluff. I was surprised he decided to drive 45 miles from Little Rock to perform this service, but he was glad to do it and considered it an opportunity to demonstrate his services and expertise. Mr. Barre thoroughly discussed what he planned to do during his visit and provided observations about my mom's home after his inspection. He used very simplistic terminology to help us understand some of the issues he encountered during his inspection and provided key recommendations for us to employ to improve the home's posture in the future. Additionally, he provided us with a comprehensive and easy to understand inspection report on the home and encouraged us to contact him in case we had questions about the inspection and other key matters about the home. Mr. Barre demonstrated a breadth and depth of knowledge about home inspection, provided evidence of his professional background, and charged us for his service after he completed the inspection of the home. I would highly recommend Mr. Barre to anyone who desires to have a complete and thorough inspection of their home or business. He knows his craft very, very well!

Kevin Barré was extremely thorough from start to finish. The price was a little expensive compared to others but so worth it. He indentified all problems in a very thorough report that was filled with pictures of everything and the route that we needed to take to fix said problems. I would highly reccomend Kevin to anyone out there who needs a home inspection because there are some that will not put in half the effort that this man did. Great job Kevin, thanks again.

The experience went smooth from the first call to the delivered report. The report was easy to understand and broken down into areas of major concern to stuff that are not urgent but should be taken care of in the future.

Very good job overall, very thorough and knowledgeable. He quickly pointed out items I would've missed and was very keen on where builders tend to cut corners. I estimate he saved me $1000+ on areas I would've had to correct later on, even though this was a new build! I was particularly impressed with the detailed report and follow-up, would definitely hire again!

He was obviously very knowledgable about each aspect of the home inspection he addressed, and was very thorough. He answered any questions I had and returned to me a very detailed report/analysis of the home structure and condition with photos, etc. Would definetely use him again, it was just a little bit pricey.

Kevin makes every effort to schedule his inspection when it is most convenient for the home purchaser. He is always prompt and then takes as much time as needed to go over his findings with the purchaser. His report is later emailed and contains photos which help to explain the repairs needed. Not only does he point out the problems, but he also comments on the positive qualities of the home. He also explains the various systems of the home and points out where they are located.

The first home Kevin inspected for us was 3 years old so we weren't expecting any big issues to pop up. There was no existing inspection report and nothing jumped out on the seller's disclosure. As soon as Kevin walked in the house he identified a "musty" odor that my husband and I couldn't smell, which he tracked down to some serious water issues under the house and a few other locations. Had Kevin not found this or realized the severity of the problem, we would have ended up sinking a LOT of money into the house. The second house he inspected for us was built in 1986 or thereabouts. Also no existing inspection report and nothing jumped out on seller's disclosure. There were several issues that Kevin identified with the roof, electrical, etc. But the main thing he discovered was an addition of the house had been been over the septic tank - yikes! Obviously my husband and I weren't very lucky in picking houses, but we do count ourselves very lucky that Kevin was able to identify these problems for us before it was too late. When the 3rd house Kevin inspected for us passed with flying colors (with the exception of a few items Kevin recommended we have the builder fix) we knew we were buying a good house.
