Description of Work: He popped the inside back off of my side by side fridge and pointed out problems with unit. He told me it was leaking refrigerant and that he couid refill it but I'd d be calling him back soon. He told me to save the money and put it toward a new unit. He warned me against foreign companies like LG-- saying repair parts for them were not available. He reassembled the unit, took my check and split.

Description of Work: Repaired dryer that was not heating and repaired dishwasher that was not working.

Description of Work: I had a Kenmore Elite electric dryer repaired. Repairman explained what happened - that the duct in the wall was clogged and caused the fuse to blow - which the dryer did what it was supposed to do to prevent a fire. Also he noticed that the duct between the wall and the dryer was damaged - there was enough tubing for him to trim and fix it so hot air did not come out in the laundry room.

Description of Work: Service needed for a non-functioning dishwasher. Because it was an electrical problem, even though the repairman arrived with a new controller board (the likely culprit), his first attempt to repair it was not successful. He called locally but a new touch panel was not availble, so he contacted a supplier in Dallas, for the quickest availability, and returned to complete the repairs on the first day after the part arrived. His work involved finding and bringing a controller board, then replacing it with the original, diagnosing the problem, and locating the needed part, while checking with us re:any price differential for utilizing another supplier who could not get the part as quickly. We elected a faster response time (and ended up with the same part cost). We may have been extremely fortunate, but the time from discovering the dishwasher did not work and having all repairs completed was only six days.

Description of Work: Buddy corrected a problem Wilkins appliance service screwed up for me. I contacted Wilkins to replace my gas dryer belt and the service technician, his grandson, tore a hole in the gas line and shredded the threading on my gas valve. NO, I did not have this problem before. After the technician left my father replaced the gas line with a new one and we turned the switched thinking that was all there was to the problem,but gas engulfed the dryer after the pilot was was hit. NO, I did not have this problem before Wilkins, only a dryer belt. I contacted Buddy because my Dad said, "wait for him, he's the best." I didn't listen and shelled out 100.00 dollars for Wilkins mishaps and 145.00 for Buddy, for which I am very grateful. I cannot explain how much it means to find a professional person who can DO THEIR JOB WELL! Buddy knew immediately what the problem was and NO, I didn't have the problem before Wilkins as Buddy explained. The dryer never would have worked without exploding. Buddy arrived, took the dryer apart and removed the pieces needing to be replaced. He came back the next day after working hours and replaced the part and OH, he happened to look over at my washing machine and noticed he was agitating in both directions, which he said "is all wrong." YES, he immediately took the washer apart and replaced the plastic washers or something like that inside the tube. UNBELIEVABLE, Someone would go out of their way to repair something without you prompting them. It was HOT, 100 degrees in in a wash house we outside and Buddy held a conversation and laughed and smiled the whole time. Never once being rude, thoughtless, uncaring, or unconcerned. WAIT FOR A PROFESSIONAL LIKE THIS MAN!!!!!!

Description of Work: Dishwasher was diagnosed and repair parts and estimated labor furished. Cost estimate indicated we should not repair t but buy a new one. Our gas range top had a burner with a faulty ignitor. That was replaced and adjustments to the simmer settings were made. This resolved a major issue my wife had with our gas range top. Thanks! Lastly the catch on our oven door was repaired to allow smooth operation. Very satisfied with all aspects of the service provided.

Description of Work: Buddy repaired a dishwasher that had been in storage for several years, then installed it for me. Not only did he take my kitchen at work completely apart to do the job, but he put it all back together and cleaned up after himself.

Description of Work: I called for an appointment on June 28 and because of his busy schedule and the upcoming Fourth of July holiday, I could not get an appointment until Wednesday, July 7. Buddy showed up when he said he would. My microwave needed a new part. He explained the part was expensive and suggested we might want to consider replacing the microwave. He explained that he was in the repair business only as opposed to selling and installing new appliances. Our family chose to keep the microwave that complemented our other appliances and have the part replaced. The part was in stock so Buddy left with our microwave in his truck to take it back to his shop to make the repair. He told me then that he had a lot of repairs stacking up and said it might take a week for him to get the microwave back to us. He apologized repeatedly for the long delay. Two days later he called to say he had completed the repair on our microwave and asked if he could come by and install it. He was very professional and very courteous. We are impressed with his promptness, his honesty in diagnosing the problem and in telling us that we might want to consider a new purchase.
