ALF HAYDEN PAINTING

Got an estimate to get the house painted. Decided to go with Alf in August. Called him to let him know and he said he'd start the third week on September. Sounded great. I called the third week and found out he wasn't going to be able to start. His wife broke her ankle and he had to drive her to work. He said he would for sure start on Oct. 8 no doubt. The Saturday before the 8th I called to make sure he was going to start on Monday and he said he couldn't start until the week of the 22nd now. His wife was having surgery on the 8th. I understand taking care of your spouse and I believe that should be a priority. But, his lack of communication made me think twice about using him. Had he just called to let me know he wasn't going to be able to start before I called him, he might still have the job. I think he would have been a good choice, but the timing didn't work out.

Alf is the best ever. We have used his service for various jobs the last six years. I referred him to my neighbor who referred him to another. This last time I got my siding pressure washed. Trim on the house was painted, and my storage building was painted. I just don't know what I paid. The prices are fair, so I really don't think about it.
