Restoration for sunrooms - & pool cages
"My positive review for services .... Sorry a bit long but well worth the read I promise I wanted to get my pool cage and screen doors as ready as possible for Hurricane season. I looked at most of the positive recommendations here on Nextdoor. I made a list of the names and did my homework looking up the companies. I read reviews both positive and negative, checked BBB, etc I ended up with a very small list of prospective companies. I called and reached out to all of them in hopes I would hear back sooner than later. To this day only one company stepped up to the plate with a reply ... Jay the owner of Salty Screens, I called on 6/3 and had a very nice talk w/ the owner. He showed up the next day to assess the lanai. I shared my concerns and trouble areas. He explained everything in simple terms for easy understanding. He answered all of my questions. When Jay and I were leaving the lanai into the yard, Jay kindly offered this Disabled Veteran his arm and assisted me in walking back to the house. I was so amazed at his kindness, I mean how many would do this nowadays? If this world had more kind people like Jay, the world would be a much nicer place to live PROS .... 1- Easy to work with, prompt response and turnaround time 2- NEVER tried to upsell services that were not needed or wanted 3- Great reviews, and positive feedback 4- Price was fair, quality materials, offered Veterans Discount 5 - Received work estimate by email in a timely manner, was clear and concise All work itemized with individual pricing 6- Was able to schedule an apt for today 6/6 7- Cas and Travis arrived right on schedule. They were kind, considerate, and careful with my plants. They even kept the fence gate closed at all times ensuring our dogs did not escape when out. They did amazing work, meticulous and clean. They answered all of my questions anytime during the repairs. They even swept the whole lanai when finished. They where the "Dream Team" 8 - I will be adding Salty Screens to my small arsenal of excellent companies to work with. Cons .... Absolutely None"

We are a small company that believes debt is a bad thing, not only for us but also for our clients. We therefore maintain very little overhead and pass this cost reduction on to the client. We do most of the work ourselves to protect our quality standards of the finished product. Payment terms will be completely laid out in a contractual agreement ahead of time to avoid surprises. Payment is primarily determined by the length of the work. Less than 1 week - due on completion. More than 1 week - labor costs to date due each week, material costs to date due on completion or every 30 days. The company virtually makes nothing until the job is completed as agreed and final payment is received.

Whether you should repair or replace your window screens depends on the severity of the damage and the screen’s age. For large tears or holes or multiple points of damage, replacing your screen may be more cost-effective than attempting to repair the damage. If your screens are more than 10 years old, they may continue to give you issues after repair, so it’s likely worth replacing them. We recommend hiring a local screen repair technician, as they will have tools on hand for a repair or replacement and can recommend the best course of action.
It’s possible to make minor screen repairs yourself using a waterproof adhesive for small tears or a screen patch kit for larger tears and holes. However, it’s usually a better option to call in a professional window technician. It’s very easy to use too much waterproof glue, resulting in a messy appearance that might demand a full replacement anyway. A screen repair technician will not only be able to carry out clean repairs and patches that aren’t obvious, but they can also let you know if replacing your screen is a more cost-effective option.
Window screen repair costs around $310 on average, ranging from $100 to $480, depending on material, the type of window screen, the window size, the accessibility of the window, and whether you need to replace the window screen frame. You can save money on window screen repair costs by using a more affordable material like vinyl or fiberglass, rescreening instead of replacing them, and swapping multiple screens at once to combine labor costs.
Screen repair is always worthwhile, as tears and holes in your windows and door screens are unsightly and allow pests and debris into your home, rendering the screen useless. The faster you repair your screens, the faster you can open your windows and doors freely to let the fresh air in. Consider repairing multiple door and window screens during one appointment with a screen repair technician to make the investment and labor costs worth it.
Some hardware or specialty window stores in your area may repair damaged screens, but it’s less time-consuming, more convenient, and potentially more affordable to hire a screen repair technician to come to your home to do the work on-site. The screen technician will have the tools and experience to get the work done the same day, and they can inspect other screens while there to help avoid repeat repair costs in the future.
