PRECISION RESTORATION & REMODELING

Description of Work: I am a widow. I hired this company (spent approx. 26-27k $s). I received POOR quality materials, extremely inferior workmanship as well as the materials that was used in my home. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Description of Work: I hired Precision Restoration to repair my house after a fire damaged it. The repairs included gutting the house to the studs and ceiling joists and replacing the top floor and the sub floor in the living room. My issue with this Precision Restoration is he makes decisions about the house without our input. The only thing we get to have input on is color selection. Kurt Meyers picked out the windows, the bathroom shower and bathtub inserts, the French patio doors. He decided what hvac unit put into the house (after I told him not to put the brand he had installed.) My wife and I finally put our foot down told him he was not putting anything else in the house until we get to make the choices. We have been trying to get him to take us to look at cabinets but all he wants to do is provide us with a drawing. The straw that broke the camels back is when we decided to let Precision Remodeling repair our house, Kurt Meyers said we had to open a joint account with his name on it and when we gave him the second check do deposit he took the check and put it in his own business account which was not the agreement we had made. It took three or four days to finally make him to deposit any money into the account and then he only deposited $20k out of the $45k check that we gave him. I know this is a lot to take in with one correspondence and their is a lot more to this story to tell. We feel Kurt Meyers has taken advantage of us. He convinced us to let him have the State Farms adjusters estimate and ever since then he has been trying to find ways to build the house cheaper so he can pocket what does not get spent on the house. He keeps telling me the adjuster estimate is his contract on what he gets paid to rebuild out house. We tile in both full bathrooms in the shower and the sink. And does not to acknowledge the money that is not going back into the house. I am convinced he wants us to just let him build the house he way he wants to. His favorite saying is he will build our house better than what it was when it was new.
