CENTRAL ARKANSAS ROOFING was formed in 1997 when an experienced Residential Roofer and an experienced Commercial Roofer decided to join forces and offer both services through one company. Partner Robert Burdett has over over 40 years experience in the Residential business and Rodney Vaughn has over 45 years experience on the Commercial side. Commercial Sales Specialists Brian Abney and Troy Vaughn both have been in commercial roofing for over 30 years. The result of this extensive collective experience is a genuine passion for providing customers the best dollar-for-dollar value on jobs ranging from simple repairs to major replacements. To achieve this goal, a simple philosophy is used. Continually seek out new and better materials and hire only the highest skilled craftsmen. It’s this formula that has positioned CENTRAL ARKANSAS ROOFING as a leader in the industry for over 30 years.
"To say that I am disappointed with Mid-Ark Roofing is an understatement. I am sure this review will go unnoticed, word of mouth will always be free advertising, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone. I rarely go out of my way to give "one star" reviews because I will admit that there was only one good thing about this company. They quickly responded to my request to schedule an estimate to replace the roof at our church building. This is the only positive thing I can say about Mid-Ark Roofing because it went downhill soon after. During my phone conversation with Zak Lowry, he asked me "How many companies did I have coming to look at the roof?" While I can appreciate wanting to know what you might possibly be up against, that is ultimately none of your business. However, I told him the truth that we had scheduled several estimates scheduled. I could tell then that his overall disposition changed about giving us an estimate. Regardless of how Zak felt, it would be irresponsible for me as a representative of our local church to get only one estimate to replace our roof. Not a single one of the other contractors complained or appeared offended by the fact that we had multiple scheduled estimates coming. They all understood that we were simply trying to make sure that we had a competitive market value given to us. This roof replacement was being covered by insurance so payment was not going to be of any concern. Zak kept his scheduled appointment, in which he was the first one to come, and again - this is the only thing positive I will say - that he was the first one to come. Zak came (05/10/24) Friday morning around 10:30am. I was not expecting the proposal the same day so I decided to wait over the weekend. I attempted to make contact with Zak on Monday afternoon to no avail. I was told that "he was in a meeting with his boss and he would call as soon as he got out of the meeting". The lady who answered the phone did not sound very confident when she said that. I knew then that he had "ghosted" me but still, I waited. On Tuesday morning, I sent them a message on Facebook explaining that I just wanted a response from some representative with the company. I just wanted something, I didn't necessarily care at this point if they offered a proposal. With us being a potential paying customer, the least you could do is communicate to us that you are not interested in doing the work. Communication goes a long way with people. There is no excuse for this kind of unprofessional behavior from Zak and Mid-Ark Roofing. I have provided you with plenty of ways to make contact with me. You have the church's address, office number, my personal number and email address. The fact that not a single person at Mid-Ark Roofing has reached out to let us know to "kick rocks" or "pound sand" tells me everything I need to know regarding the customer service and values of this company. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I highly caution anyone who is looking for a roof replacement in contacting Mid-Ark Roofing for their roofing needs."

Even though you don’t look at your roof often, there are some telltale signs that you should have your roof professionally cleaned. It’s best to hire a professional roof cleaner as soon as you notice signs of wear and tear to preserve the essential feature’s longevity. Some indicators to look out for include:
Dirt and grime buildup
Moss or black algae growth
Dirt buildup under shingles
Shifting roof shingles
Plant growth
The cost of roof cleaning is $455 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range from $150 to $1,000, depending on the size, pitch, and material of the roof, as well as the cleaning method used.
Since roof cleaning costs between $0.20 and $0.60 per square foot, it’s fair to say that the larger your roof, the more you pay for cleaning services. Additionally, if you have a steep roof, you can expect to pay an additional $0.15 per square foot due to the complex nature of the job and additional safety equipment needed.
A professional roof cleaning lasts about a year on average, so it’s best to do it annually. This schedule helps catch any roof problems before they become extensive and helps prevent mold, moss, and algae from forming. If you live near the coast, annual roof cleaning will help prevent salt buildup on your roof. You can add professional roof cleaning to your yearly home maintenance checklist to ensure you never miss a year.
On average, cleaning a roof will take between two to five hours. This timeline depends on the size and slope of your roof and the severity of any stains. Cleaning roof stains can take additional time, especially if there are signs of moss or algae.
In addition, the age of your roof makes an enormous difference in the time it takes to clean it, as older roofs need more gentle care. If you have significant landscaping in your yard by your house, your professional roof cleaner will need additional time to protect it from cleaning chemicals.
It is not advisable to DIY a roof cleaning job. Cleaning your roof yourself could lead to hazardous falls, scrapes, and even burns, making this a dangerous project. Additionally, using the wrong cleaning solution or cleaning method on your roof could risk damaging it. While some markets offer a DIY roof cleaning kit, these products often speed up the deterioration of your roof.
To ensure that you and your roof are protected, it’s best to leave roof cleaning to a professional with the right chemicals, tools, and equipment to complete the job safely.
