The beginning was good. The owner was very cordial and provided us with a prompt estimate and contract. From there it was all downhill. The job took much longer than we were told and the owner had many excuses (usually the weather, but sometimes that was a lie). We had to hound him to get him and his workers to come. Often they would come, work an hour or two and then leave. We were never told when they were coming back. My husband finally had to get very angry and then we got some action. The contract said we would have as many windows as possible in the four season room but, in fact, we got one less than that. We gave advances for windows and lattice and it was not ordered. We actually had to drive 60 miles to get some of the materials ourselves in order that the work could progress. The workmanship is much less than perfect. He used his sister-in-law to do some wallpapering in the kitchen and it is taking us nearly $1000 to correct the stains on our ceiling and to take the wallpaper down and replace it with drywall and paint. Our final bill was wrong in several details. We were charged extra for things that were included in the contract and we were not given credit for some of our previous payments. Needless to say, we will not use this contractor again and we would not recommend him to others.
