Express Plumbing & Guttering

It went okay until time to pay them. I asked for a total and Johnny with Express Plumbing said if you pay 2225.00 cash, it includes sales tax. So he was paid $2225.00 and I told him to leave the receipt in my mailbox when they were through with the installation that day. No receipt was left. After several text messages to Johnny, which he responded to and promised to mail me a receipt, I was never provided with a receipt. My dad later told me he probably pocketed that cash and never even told his partner, Bobby, that I paid the money. I have saved the text messages sent to him and his replies with promises to provide a receipt. I actually think they are out of business now and that wouldn't surprise me a bit. I never dealt with Bobby, the partner in the business, so I can't say anything about his ethics, but Johnny has zero ethics in business. Quite a little scam on Johnny's part! And the gutters in some places started leaking after one year. On the category here it doesn't give you the option for gutter installation, just repair & replacement, but they actually installed totally new gutters.
