It did take two months before they were able to get to our jobs; but once the began we were totally impressed. I now know that by the quality of their workmanship they are very busy and it takes two months to get to everyone. There were three workers who showed up and did all of my work. Due to the nature of my work (custom framing and chair rails, etc.) it took about 2 weeks to complete all of the jobs, but their work ethic was outstanding. They were very careful with my possessions while moving furniture, etc. to paint. They always cleaned up after themselves and left everything exactly as it was when they were finished. They communicated with us if they felt something wasn't right, or they had a change in schedule or whatever. We were never left out in the dark. We even added a couple things that weren't in our estimate that they were more than happy to do. Overall I would rate them an A+ and highly recommend them to anyone who needs good, honest, reputable people to do their work.

It went great. We were always informed of when they would begin and if they would be delayed for some reason. I was never left in the dark. The workers were pleasant and informative and very neat. They never left for the day without cleaning up. There was a 2 month delay before we could be worked into their schedule but that is understandable because they are so much in demand.

This company is easy to work with. They respond to initial contact quickly and provide accurate estimates quickly. Their work is clean and the crew is professional. I got the bid, chose the company, got in their work list, got excellent service and workmanship and I will hire them in the future. I like their straightforward, no sales pitch approach. The price was even a bit lower than I had guesstimated, which was a nice surprise.

They did an excellent job!!! They arrived when they said they would and they did a tremendous amount of work that I would have thought would have taken 2 days and they did it all in 1 day.These guys worked very hard and I don't even think I saw them stop but for just a few minutes for lunch. I have used them again since then and they also did an excellent job the next month when they came. I would hire them again and as a matter of fact will be contacting them to build a deck for me later this summer. It is very hard to find someone that has reasonable prices and that actually will do a great job and show up when they say they will.

Rob listened to my design requests, made sure he understood them, and completed the estimate. I wanted a large upper deck fully enclosed with a gate that could latch closed or open, a small lower deck close to the ground, and a "dog cave" under one end of the upper deck where I will add a pen later. Daniel led the onsite team. There were a couple of details that were lost in communication between him and Rob, but he stuck with the job the very next day and got everything right. Three days, started and finished ahead of schedule, came in under estimate. Will be asking them for estimate on the dog pen.

Owner of the business discovered another project of more importance needed to be of top priority than he was originally called for. So we had to hold off on what I wanted until it could be completed. I appreciated his honesty and integrity.

They completed the job faster than expected and at a lower cost than expected. In one area where the paint didn't seem to match the original, they quickly responded by coming out and painting again so all walls matched. Excellent, friendly, personal service with great results! I'd definitely use them again!

We've been very pleased with them. I will recommend them highly. They are good about responding and their estimates are very reasonable. Sometimes they will even help you find ways to sidelining. Some things are better of fixing it yourself than doing it this way. They care about saving you some money.

My floor is dry & my wife is VERY happy!

I'm currently still in the bid process/DIY mode as we cope with the aftermath of unexpected water damage in our bathroom, which has necessitated a total tear out of a walk-in shower, tub, and floor tile. Rob at A-State came recommended from some folks we know who had a great experience with a large living area remodel, and he's been awesome to work with. He spent more time on premises that anyone else, and was incredibly generous with both his local contacts and his general knowledge as we worked to save money on the remodel. He ended up giving me free advice on products and process as I started doing my own demo work--including stuff like mold removal and control--and I wouldn't hesitate to use A-State for this or for other jobs. I might add that I contacted two other remodeling companies--one Angie's List favorite in Little Rock along with a local Conway big-name outfit--and I was so much happier moving ahead with A-State. (Of the alternatives, the former was slow, impersonal, and overpriced; the latter was okay but felt a little too much like a fast-talking sales guy who was short on answers to questions about latest techniques.) In the end I may do a lot of the work myself for financial reasons; if it turns out that way, this review is the least I can do--Rob been first class, and I wish I could hire him. I still might, and likely will for future reno projects when we can actually budget for them.

I liked this company. They responded quickly to my initial inquiries, arrived on time and did the job efficiently. I had a strip of siding come free from the fascia on my home. These guys came out in bitter cold weather with their own nails and re-attached it quickly. I did not have to wait very long to get an appointment, and in every step this company showed exceptional professionalism. I'm particular about who comes to my home. I have no reservations about these gentlemen. I will contact them again for future projects without hesitation.

Very prompt and courteous. The original estimate over the phone was $100 with the understanding that the estimate might change when the provider was on site with a better view of the problem. The provider lowered the estimate once on site. Because of their honesty and an overall excellent experience, we will always contact A State Handymen, Inc. first for future projects around the house.

Rob and his crew did a wonderful job! He estimated all the jobs ahead of time, did the work on time and came through for us when we needed someone trustworthy. What he couldn't do, he recommended other professionals who also responded quickly and efficiently. Everything turned out great!

This contractor was timely, efficient, did what they said they would do and I didn't pay them a dime till I was 100% satisfied which is their policy Overall the best experience I have ever had with any construction contractor. And to beat it all, the original worst case estimate was $2,200 and the final bill was around $1,800. Very nice surprise. In addition, their performance will allow me to likely give them two bathroom remodeling jobs in the next month or two.
