It took way longer than expected. Ran out of material three times. Shoddy workmanship. They wouldn't finally come out and half way fix the shoddy work. I had them out here like four or five times after they were done. I finally signed off on it. They have been in business around here for 75 years and I remember them doing work for my parents and I didn't have any problems. I was just one of those unlucky fellows. They are real nice windows and siding. They have quick responses usually to my calls.

Mel Harris Company has been well established in the area for a long time which is why we had them come out and quote us. Their product is real good, but with our 10 year plan of possibly selling our home we wouldn't need that. If we were going to stay in the house forever we might have used them, but we decided to go with the cheaper amount. The salesman was long winded. He was very long winded, but he sold the product really well. It took him 2 1/2 hours maybe even 3 hours to get us our quote. It was story after story. He was a nice guy, I am not knocking him. It just took a long time and the wife thought starting cooking may help, but it didn't. Getting the quote was long winded and hard to sit through. They were very punctual. I'd ask them out again, but I would tell them not to sell me just to quote me.

They do windows, siding and roofing. I liked the quality of windows he offered. They were very professional in installing and they cleaned up well after themselves. He had good windows but they were a little pushy on the buying. They were a little pricey too. They had a deal with them that month where if you went with any of their other services you would get a discount and you could use it within a two year period. Even with the discount the prices were a little pricey.
