Worst customer service experience ever! I start this review with a little background, Burton did a service call on my pool pump on July 13th. Paid in full at the time of service, 1st time customer with them as I just bought the house. On July 20th, Wednesday, I stopped by Burton and talked you a young lady about a 1 time cleaning of my pool, possible monthly maintenance and the cost. There was a Service Technician there at the time that helped with the information as well. She was knowledgable and gave me specific information. That is the best part of this review. It was after 5:00p, they informed me that Ray, a service technician would call me the morning of the 21st. Ray didn't call Thursday or Friday. Called on Friday evening, informed a polite young lady that Ray had not called to set up service. She was able to reach Ray on the phone immediately, she stated that he would call me the next morning. Ray did not call me. I phoned around 1:00p on Saturday, informed the polite young lady, that I had not heard from Ray, still wanted the appointment for cleaning but wanted another technician because Ray had missed 3 calls just to schedule the appointment. She informed me another technician would definitely call me Monday to schedule the service. It is 8:30p Monday the 25th, no one has called. I don't like to have to chase someone down for me to pay them to service my pool. Needless to say I will not be recommending Burton Pools and Spas.

The process from the beginning (meeting with the salesman and signing the contract)to near the end went exceptionally well. Getting the pool ready and clean took 2 or 3 trips. We had to get them back to redo the dirt work getting the ruts fixed and yard as they found it. There were a couple of other loose ends that took awhile to get finished. But other than the inconvenience, they did get it finished and we are very pleased with it all.

I ordered the liner the first of April and within two weeks a couple of guys came out to measure the pool. It was still covered and I had agreed to have it uncovered for them but they never called just showed up. They uncovered and recovered the pool themselves with no complaint. The liner came in the last week of May and the installer came out to see the pool. He was an outside contractor for Burton and I was very impressed from the start with him. He explained how the job would be done and what would be done. I agreed to drain the pool right before they where ready to start. As luck would have it we had 3 inches of rain the day they where to start and he called to let me know not to drain it then because of the amount of ground water we would have around the pool. Next day they got started and made all the repairs I wanted and put in all new padding even with water still seeping through the walls. It took an extra day but the pool came out perfect and these guys where first class.

Ok. Seemed like kids making repairs though. I would use again though.

We are extreme pleased with our Burton Pool. They did run into considerable rock, which they warned us up front could happen. It added about $1,800 to the cost. Buddy was our construction manager did an excellent job. He was very personable and made great suggestions on things we should consider. I would recommend them, and have!

Leroy took real good care of us, very experienced, and has been with Burton for about 20 yrs.. He knows his stuff.

We went with this company becasue of their long standing reputation in the area. Great sales pitch and hands on service at the beginning. However once the pool was in and the checks had been written it is like we do not exist. I fully understand that no job will be perfect right away. But, when you call back to get things corrected that you do not feel are right you get told to call Terry, then Terry tells you to call Chris, then Chris tells you to call service for warranty work, then service tells you they will have to schedule you an appointment and will call you back....do you ever get that call?? NO! You tell them about situations that are not right and even back up your concerns with photos...do they call you back to discuss it with you?? NO!. To spend the amount of money we spent with them, then get treated like this is unacceptable. They tell you that when they leave your property you will not even be able to tell they have been there. Well, I can tell you our yard got destroyed in the building of the pool. The weather had some to do with it but the fact of the matter is they back drag the yard with a skid loader when they leave and whatever ruts, trash, rocks and debris that is left is on you to clean up. No matter what they tell you, your yard will not ever be the same after they are through. If you do decide to get a pool from them they will conduct "pool school" with you on the premises. There will be lots of things they will not tell you and when you ask they will tell you to consult your owners manual. Very disappointing. I have also heard similar stories from others who have dealt with them recently. I think it is taking on more work than you can comfortably complete the proper way. You can call all you want, you can even talk to David Burton but the end result is they now have your money and you are at their mercy to solve any outstanding warranty issues. They will "SIr" and "Ma am" you to death and even ask you in person how you like your poool if you see them in the store...but in the end they could really care less. You will spend a lot of money with them so take my post into consideration before you give them your check.
