+ -1 morePart of a neighbor's tree had fallen into my back yard. Mackie came out, cut the portion off of the existing tree, and hauled off all branches and debris from my property. I didn't have to do anything except call to schedule the appointment. I would use them again.

+ -1 moreThe tree was a large pine about 2 feet in diameter in my backyard which has been dead for some time. They carefully cut down the tree, cut in smaller sections removed the large sections and used a wood chipper for smaller ones. They cut the stump close to the ground and did an excellent job cleaning up to the point you'd have never known they were even there. They had an adequate crew and equipment and finished the job in a timely manner without being reckless. Have used them in the past and would not hesitate to use them again.

The crew came while I was at work, cut and removed the trees, cleaned up and I couldn't tell they had been there if I didn't know where the trees were located. These guys are professional, fast and courteous. I would certainly recommend them and would use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreOzark did a wonderful job both times they worked on our property. I had a very prompt response from Mackie each time I called to have work done. The quality of the work was outstanding, including the cleanup that they did. The cleanup work was a large proportion of the time they spent on our job and we appreciated their attention to detail. We would have no hesitancy recommending Ozark Tree Service and we will use their service again as the need arises for more trimming or tree removal work.
Description of Work: We used Ozark Tree Service twice this past summer and fall of 2012 During the summer, storm winds knocked over and broke several trees on our property in Bella Vista. In addition, we had several dead trees from the draught conditions of the past years. Ozark removed all these trees including one that required special handling because of its close proximity to the electric power pole and lines at the front of our lot. Later, in November Ozark came back to trim several trees and to help clear dead trees that were blocking our view from our back deck. Ozark Tree Service was not the lowest of the three bids we received for the work, but we were impressed with the time and detail Mackie from Ozark took to prepare our bid. We felt the most comfortable with their bid.

Description of Work: I hired them to for a large job of removing multiple dead trees on some acreage. They did a very good job and underbid the competition. The only mildly negative comments I could make are that they didn't give me much notice of when they were coming and it took a day or two longer than they estimated. That being said neither of those things would keep me from using them again.

+ -1 moreOzark Tree Service (Mackie Hale) cut down 3 dead/dying trees at a rent house I manage in Fayetteville. I had obtained 3 estimates and OTS was the lowest (one estimate was $400 more) and could do the job the quickest. They arrived within 30 minutes of scheduled time on Friday, worked till dark and came back in the morning to finish. I am impressed by their professional attitude and hard work. The trees were cut down quickly and SAFELY. The stumps were ground down and all residue was cleaned up. Mackie honored the Angieslist coupon and I saved $50. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else or to use them again.

They worked all the way through the job, had several men on the crew plenty of equipment and did not waste time. They cleaned up everything and were very efficient. Came in at the exact estimate although I think some of the trees were trickier to get too than they initially expected.
Description of Work: They removed a couple trees, pruned several others, and braced a significant tree we want to save - plus cleaned up all their work and hauled off the cuttings.

+ -1 moreIt was amazing to watch these guys work. They climbed the tree and started dropping the larger limbs down. Hauled stuff out of our yard with a bobcat and loaded it all up. They were professional and did a great job. I was very impressed with them. Got all the debris out of our neighbor's yard too. I appreciated how careful they were of our landscaping that was really in their way!
Description of Work: Needed a large dying elm tree removed from our backyard. It was close to the fence with our neighbor, the utility pole, and you cannot get a vehicle in our backyard!

Although the estimate was free, the gentleman that came out to provide an estimate was quick to respond to my request and punctual. However, the estimates were alot higher than I expected. Otherwise, the company would have been my second choice.
Description of Work: After reviewing ads for several companies in the phonebook, this was one of two that I decided to call for an estimate. They appeared to have the most experience and the gentleman I spoke to was very courteous.

Mackie came out promptly and gave me an estimate. He said he could do the work the next day. Mackie and his helper showed up as promised, on time, and quickly took care of the trees. All debris was cleaned up from the yard. I am very pleased.

+ -1 moreI had waited a LONG time to finally get this work done! Mackie came out and gave an estimate, I added work as things progressed. For instance, I had all but one (too large and inaccessible) of the stumps ground, including those that had previously been cut, maybe 2 dozen all together. Crew worked well together...obvious division of labor. Good saw and climbing skills. When possible wood was cut to length, as I had requested. I began with a LARGE burn pile already in place (12' tall, 15' diameter?) and it was burned along with debris that was not hauled off. What was done was exactly what I wanted: everything that was too high or too springy or too big for me to have a friend with a chain saw cut was GONE.
Description of Work: Final trimming/removal of damage from that last really big winterice storn. I had already had work done on "the easy stuff," hanging branches and trees down at the root. What remained included, for instance, a mature tree that had broken and landed along the top of the fence that runs along the side of my property. Another tree, perhaps 70' tall, had broken in half and the crown rested on several trees that in turn were damaged. Work also included climbing (there was a climber on the crew who worked on several trees for trimming and removal) and grinding of stumps. Job took one whole day, half of another, and basically was a LOT of cut work that was well done.

+ -1 moreI call Ozark for an estimate. The owner responded that day but was over an hour late coming to give estimate. However the estimate was very reasonable. The next day I got an estimate from another company; it was higher and they couldn't get to it for about a week. I called Mr. Hale back to confirm that the estimate he gave me was firm and asked when they could come. He said they could come that afternoon. He showed up with his crew and bucket truck on time and they proceeded to do exactly the work we had discussed. They were very careful of my other plantings in the yard and thouroughly cleaned up all of the debris created in the yard, mine and the neighbor's driveway and the street in front of the house.
Description of Work: I had the service trim branches on 3 trees in front yard and 1 in the back. Some of the work involved corrective trimming for ice-storm damage; other involved branch removal to allow understory trees more room to grow.
