When he sat down with me to go over everything, he kept saying that his crew would be able to do this and that. He gave me a materials and labor amount of 1200.00. He thought that he could get materials for less than it would allow with a turn key bid. He explained to me that it would save me money to go with the materials and labor bid because he could probably come in under the estimate. He also said he was going to put something into the soil to make it more furtile for the plants. He never did so. Once the job was finished, he told me that there would be some settlement and he would come back to fix it. We had a rain and it settled about a foot. It caused the stonework to settle as well. His "crew" consisted of 1 man named Hector. Shawn would drop him off each day and Hector would sit around on his cell phone, dragging the job and and costing more in labor. In the end, we have collapsing stone walls, weeds where there should be Vinca and mud in our carport.
