RUN THE OTHER WAY - DO NOT HAVE THIS PERSON DO ANY WORK ON YOUR HOME!!!!!!! I did not believe the very negative review posted in 2022 but should have. My experience was exactly the same. I paid for work that was either not done or done wrong (and had to pay someone else to correct). I paid for flooring that was never ordered (confirmed with flooring company that it was never ordered or paid for) and had to pay for again. I have had plumbers in to fix plumbing work I paid for (toilets not sealed, hot and cold water mis-connected). The electrical and gas connections for kitchen appliances were not as per appliance specs (shared with Jeff Withrow prior) and I had to pay another plumber and electrician to correct. A shower enclosure in a bathroom that was removed without discussing with me (only the flooring was to be replaced so the enclosure did not need to be removed). When I asked "why", there were multiple excuses (including saying I asked for it to be replaced). The enclosure was put back in; however, not correctly so I the shower door does not fit. Another bath was completely remodeled and (1) toilet paper holder cut-out in tile is oriented wrong direction, (2) toilet paper holder cannot be installed as there is no wood for screws and cannot secure into tile, (3) shower door cannot be installed as will not swing in or out due to toilet seat and shower head placement. Trim around tile in two separate bathroom missing in areas. I have had two of his subcontractors show up at my home asking for money as Jeff told them I did not pay him for work done. I assisted them by sharing proof of payment to their attorney. Asked Jeff multiple times for names and license information for his subcontractors - he never shared that with me. Had to ask weekly for detailed invoices. Met in person several times to reconcile invoices. Jeff Withrow is a con artist. He approached me as "Jeff Withrow" contractor and I found out he had been licensed as "Glenn's Tile" and current licensed as "Mid-America Tile, Marble and Granite LLC". Unfortunately, the AR Contractor Licensing Board does not tie contractor name to company (as other professional licensing boards do). The company is not doing the work - the individual is and the public needs to know about the individual. If Jeff Withrow's name was tied to his company you would know to RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION. He has absolutely no integrity. Happy for those who post stellar reviews - you were fortunate. I overpaid for everything and ended up paying twice for many things. Project ended up costing me more than $150K. He should be banned for life by the AR Contractor Licensing Board.

Any work is overshadowed by a letter we received months after work was done. It was from an attorney saying that he had not paid for the supplies he purchased for his work on our home and there was a lien on the home. Jeff promised for over a month that he did pay for it, but he wouldn’t provide proof. Look up his lawsuits on Arkansas court connect to see this seems to be a common problem with his work. When he promises that his estimate is at the max, don’t count on it. When you save costs someplace, like appliances, he adds the difference into his total instead of giving you the credit. When he starts work, he stays until most of job is done. Don’t pay until every little thing is resolved or you will spend months asking him to finish. In fairness, he does beautiful tile work. Just be warned that there are money management issues that turn things sour. Would not use again because of his money problems. Picture that he has shown of our project is not our project.

Jeff Withrow, the contractor at Glenn's Tile, might be the most incompetent so-called professional I have ever dealt with. If I could give negative star reviews, he would get them. Let's start with the money issue. Three times he tried to cheat me out of money. The first two times where on invoices billing me for work he already had done or we agreed would not be done. He excused those as "miscommunication" despite my clear wording. The third time is the absolute best. On Feb. 10, 2022, I wrote him a check for $2,500 to pay for painting. We clearly discussed that this was the last check I would be writing him as all other work, though not completed yet, had been paid. He agreed. He took that check and that day took it to cash it. He received $3,500 for it, a full $1,000 more than the check was made out for. So he knew about a 1K error and never told me about it. I did not learn of this until a month later when my wife reviewed the bank statement and caught the error. I called my bank on the first business day after and they corrected it. He has yet to say anything to me about it. Now let's move on to his lack of oversight and planning. When I hired him in December 2021, we had already picked out the flooring we wanted and checked that it was available. Upon hiring him, the same day I texted him the flooring info that we wanted. In late January, less than a week before his flooring installer is supposed to arrive and install, he informs me that the flooring we wanted was not available anymore. He never ordered it until it was too late. He said that he was told there wasn't enough. We had less than 550 square feet needed. He said there never was enough, which was not true. So my wife and I rush out to a flooring store and choose another laminate that was not what we wanted but would be available, All the while this is going on, his tile guy is installing tile in my kitchen and sunroom. it looks fine. Except when the transitions need to be installed between all the carpeting and new floors, Jeff never checked the edges. They are all jagged and uneven. And in one spot, the carpet was cut too short and the wood laminate wasn't cut long enough to reach it. We can't just have the carpet edge against the new floors. We now have to have special transitions installed that he supposedly has ordered but won't show us. We have no idea what they look like. That's not to mention the myriad times Jeff lied to us about coming to work on days, and then never showing up, with no communication, call or text. When I repeatedly called him out on lack of communication, he always blamed someone else, but would never acknowledge he is in charge and should have been in contact with me. The latest time is this afternoon when his cabinet guy was a no show and Jeff never told us until I asked what happened. Oh wait, let's talk about all four of the kitchen appliances that he tried to install. 1. The stove... he ignored the large metal safety brace that came with the stove and said he's never installed those before. Despite it being identified in the packet and in a recall notice last summer that came with the stove. We had him remove the stove and install the bracket. 2. The microwave over the stove was so sloppily installed that it was not level at all and things literally would roll out of the front. He also did not install the vents or filters under the microwave and blamed that on his crew must have tossed those pieces in the trash. It took nearly two weeks to get that taken care of. 3. The refrigerator... He installed and hooked up the water. It seemed fine until you tried to open the doors. That's when the entire unit rolled around and moved. He never lowered the leveling legs underneath. When I questionned why it moved around, he said it was because we hadn't put anything in the fridge yet and when it was heavier it wouldn't roll. He never read the instruction booklet that clearly showed the leveling legs need to be lowered. My wife pointed that out to me and I mentioned it to him. He also ignored pieces of plastic from the protective coating that he left on it and didn’t start removing it until I pointed them out and was trying to get them off. 4. The dishwasher... I really have no idea what his issue was here other than it took three trips to the house to get it working and not leaking. Oh, and those new floors that were installed. His paint crews didn't cover them completely when they sprayed the new paint on the walls. Yep, new paint on new wooden floors and tiles. Three cleaning attempts later, it was cleared up. So now we have this... a 4- to 6-week job is now moving into its fourth month. The cabinets still are not finished because they had to remove one door because they put it on backward. That happened over a month ago and still has not been fixed (was supposed to today but the cabinet guy was a no show). We still do not have the transitions in the flooring. There is touch-up painting and cleaning that still hasn't been done. This has been a massive failure, but I learned some good business savvy dealing with this project. But the fact this this incompetence is recommended by Angi doesn't bode well for me ever using the service again.

Response from Glenn's Tile Company
I'm sorry that you are unhappy. you're review is not accurate about the remodel and in some items are completely false. when I was contacted by Mr [Member Name Removed] I explained that depending on the supply chain issues currently and disruptions it would be a good idea to get the materials ordered when you had picked them out. this would help facilitate the job. when he decided to use our services I instructed him to order the flooring so there wasn't a delay. he asked to do it to see if I could get a better price for him. I ordered the flooring and checked availability. everything was good at the time. when we started the job I checked on the flooring. the tile was in, but thelaminate wasn't. the supplier called the manufacturer and we were informed that it was back ordered. I told the customer that at the time it was ordered the flooring was available. the problem was that there was only 300sf available. it wasn't scheduled to be manufactured a month. when the customer chose the flooring originally the company didn't verify quantities. I sent them to a different supplier to pick out another floor that was actually waterproof and better quality. it was delivered within 2 weeks. I estimated the job would take approximately 4-6 weeks. we finished the original work in that time frame. we had demo, install new floors , paint cabinets, installed new door hardware, appliances and debris removal. the customer decided to add extra work and paint walls, trim and doors in the areas we had remodeled. this wasn't in the original price. they accepted the cost for the work. I did not cheat the customer out of any money. I really don't know where that came from. I invoiced the customer for the work performed. the question about a $1000 overcharge is the first I've heard of this. anytime there was a change to the original scope of work we went over the price and work to be performed. the door hardware has been a challenge to get. the customer wanted to change hardware on one door to a different hinge after they had approved the original installation. the cabinet cannot install what he doesn't have, the painters can't finish their punchlist until the door is ready. trades are not going to show up if they can't Finish their work. all the items for the install on the were finished to the approval of the customer. the customer was even complimentary about he work performed. the painters did get some overspray on the floor. it took 2 trips to clean it. they didn't want to harm the floor. the appliances were installed per instructions. I installed the bracket after the customer asked. the microwave screens were found in a box and installed. the customer has also informed us several times that we couldn't work a day, because they were out of town. we couldn't work the week of spring break, etc. the job has been 99% complete for over a month. as I have said in this response, we have tried to accommodate the customer as much as possible.

we turned a dining room into a bedroom with a closet. You informed me that you were using the house as a rental. There were areas that had different types of texture. we textured the area to try to look even. The closet door you asked for it to be installed to open a certain way. You then asked me to turn it the other way and we did.
