Wonderful experience every time! This last time was hard as he had to match stain to floors that had been installed 13 years ago. He did a great job as it's really hard to match. He made many trips, and he was really concerned that we would be pleased. I can't recommend him enough!
Description of Work: We used John Dramis 13 years ago to put down hardwood floors in our house that we built. We also used him again 7 years ago to add hardwood to a bedroom. We used him again this past week to repair floor from a leak from an icemaker. Our floors we had installed 13 and 8 years ago still look brand new!

Over the years, Dramis Hardwood Floors has completed three jobs for us. The first was the restoration of a neglected and damaged wood floor in a newly purchased home. The price of the work and its requirements were clearly communicated. The restoration was superb. The second was installation of a hardwood floor for the living and dining room. Again, the price of the work and its requirements were clearly communicated. The installation was completed on time with no problems. The third (and latest) was the installation of a hardwood floor for a kitchen. Water damage was discovered, and we were alerted to the need for restoration. After damage was treated, Dramis put in a new sub-floor, for a very reasonable amount, and then installed the new hardwood floor without any problems. From our experiences, we recommend Dramis Hardwood without reservation. The quality of the work, the professionalism of the workers, and the communications from the owner are superb.
Description of Work: Put in sub floor and installed new hardwood floor.

The job was only done half way. It was sanded and then resealed but not stained. We had an appointment for them to come out and do this job at 8am and we were told it would be an all day job. Mr. Dramis called at noon to say that his crew was eating lunch and they would be there shortly. They showed up at 2pm and were gone by 4pm. And in that two hours they quickly sanded 17 steps and risers, and took a 15 minute smoke break. I asked them why there were white spots on the stairs and why the coating wasn't shiny. I was told it was because the area dried first but in the end it would all look even. So we have white marks where it should be OAK stain. We asked the company to come back out and redo it but we're told that they were only hired to do a $500.00 job and not a $1,200.00 job. We didn't hire this company personally but felt that we should have been treated with more respect then we were. We were treated like it was a bother for them. It would take days for Mr. Dramis to respond to our request and when we called the original contractor who hired him to help us he blamed the floor guy, then the floor guy blamed the contractor for being cheap. He even said you get what you pay for. He had a, you'll take what I give you attitude. **Due to previous experiences with our small claims courts I have no faith in their good old boy court system. I have decided not to try to sue this company, but I will not recommend them to anyone and I will not ever use them in my home again.**
Description of Work: the plastic covering laid to protect the staircase removed some of the coating on the wood. The contractor hired this company Dramis Hardwood Floors to sand, stain and reseal the wood.

The company did a really good job. They really worked with us and made sure that we liked everything. They tried multiple stains to make sure we like the colors. They were more then willing to customize everything for us. Everything went good. They did not leave any messes. Mr. Dramis was very professional. I didn't talk to the workers much but they seem professional. The price was average.
Description of Work: They did all the hardwood flooring in the house.

The floors were to be finished before we moved into the house. Unfortunately, the color did not match the existing floors, so the existing floors all had to be sanded and stained to match the new floors. We had wanted the floors done before we moved in. But then had to go through the whole mess of redoing the floors after we had moved into our home. It was just a huge hassle we did not need on top of a big move from Chicago to Arkansas.

They were very professional. They came out 2-3 times to check on things. They were very concerned about us being happy and satisfied with their product. They were very clean and cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job on the floor.
Description of Work: We used Dramis Hardwood Floors for our kitchen and dining area. We have original oak flooring, so it was sanding it down and applying three coats of finish after that. We couldn’t step on it for a week.

It was a super job - Pam, his wife, is very pleasant - and John is also very pleasant - just really a nice guy who knows what he is doing!!
Description of Work: They installed the wood floors in our house - kitchen, keeping room, den, dining room, hallway, music room, stairs- and stained them. They were so so nice and very good!! We had a really difficult builder, and they never lost their patience. We had them come back and put down wood floors in our bedroom five years later. We wanted to replace the carpet in there. Again - another super job -

The job was not easy to do, but they did a great job. They were very accommodating, professional, and prompt. The pricing was reasonable and they used good equipment. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new flooring or refinishing.
Description of Work: They sanded 1200 sq feet of antique flooring and made some repairs.
