Being a first time home buyer, I am really feeling bad & frustrated about the quality of service or support I am receiving from the warranty team & the Brittenum. We saw a model house and we were expecting the same finish in my home. But that was not the case and my attic room on the 2nd floor was not finished fully and left as it is without finishing like the model house. I was expecting the fence to be extended all the way till the end of my land like other homes in the same row but mine was not extended saying there is a water utility but as per the water department the water line is there in other homes too. I was told to extend the fence at my expense if I need to extend it which is not fair. The fence gate was not installed on the correct side like other homes and it's on the AC unit side. When I checked I was told this was built as per the plan and to put in the other gate, it needs to be at my expense. Bathroom door lock stopped working all of a sudden and I was told this is homeowners maintenance. The screws on the doors are not tight and I need to tighten them everytime. And it is not just the bathroom door but also the other doors. These doors were not properly installed and I don't see all the screws installed in most of the doors. Bathroom sink was broken before we moved in and for some reason this was also not identified during the inspection. When I checked with the warranty, I was told this is not in the closing inspection. The water in the walking shower doesn't drain completely and this was not leveled before the install. If I send an email to the warranty, I know I will be getting the same reply like this is homeowners responsibility or it's not in the inspection report. The vents on the roofs are not tight and we are manually fixing the hanging vents in the bathrooms often. Hearing lots of noise in the vents when the AC/Heater is running in the 2nd floor. From the attic, I see there are lots of gaps where the ladder is fixed and it was not sealed properly with the foam. My electric bill jumped to $350+ becoz of this. The gas pipe which goes to the AC unit is not covered with the foam sealant and it is like a hole where they installed the pipe. As a temporary work around, the AC technician used the tape to cover that hole. And this will rip off soon and in the end when I report this to warranty, I may get a reply like this was not on the closing/pre-closing report. Overall I would say don’t go with Brittenum as they don’t care the buyers, your pain, and they all want is to sell the home with no customer satisfaction.

Their field construction foreman is impossible to get a hold off. He was called out to fix our flooring the first time and didnt correct/fix it properly. My girls were walking over a portion of the floor that came unglued and it broke apart. I reached out to them in January and have yet to have the repairs completed. It is the end of April now. We have been in our home for less than a year so the repairs are still under our home warranty, but so far this company refuses to repair by ignoring my repeated emails/text messages.
Description of Work: They built our home. Since we've moved in our shower door has fallen off. Portions of our floor has come unglued and fallen apart. The faucet in the guest bathroom was not properly anchored to the wall and nearly fell apart

Here is the list of the problems we encountered while dealing with builder Brittenum Construction. 1. Mike the realtor for Brittenum Told us that the refirigerator was included with the house. 2. Mike said that a tiled shower was included with in the master bathroom. 3. We asked repeatedly to meet the builder and was told he was on vacation. Later, we found he was meeting with other home buyers. 4. We asked repeatedly to meet with Amiee Duca another realtor and listing agent for Falcon Ridge homes and we were told she was too busy. 5. We asked to meet with the foreman and didn't get a meeting for until 2 months later. 6. We asked for a pre-build meeting and no one responded. 7. We asked for the Plat of the lot and never got to see it. 8. The house floor plan was reversed and we were not notified by anyone. 9. We had all windows gridded in the contract and they only gridded the front two windows. 10.At Encore flooring and building products we were told to picked out a tile for the shower in the master bath and were told by Encore that the tiled shower was included for our home. Lonna even checked with Brittenum to confirm that we were to get a tiled master shower. 11.When the tile type was discontinued Brittenum installed another tile type in the shower and throughout the entire house without notifying us of the tile change. 12.We went to Encore and asked them about the tile being installed and that it was not what we had chosen. We mention all the problems we had been having with Brittenum and that we couldn't recommend the builder based on our experience. This finally got us a conversation with John Brittenum the owner and he proceeded to accuse us of bad mouthing him and that we were not the type of people that he wanted in his neighborhood. 13.The foreman told us that we could have a concrete patio of size and location of our choosing and later told us that we had to put the patio only in one location and limited the size. 14.The foreman told us that they would clean up the overgrowth in the yard and later said they wouldn't. 15.They installed cabinets that were not painted properly and had three shades of white on them. 16.We respectfully asked for our deposit back because Brittenum had not honored the agreed to conditions in the contract and made numerous mistakes with our home. They declined.
