About us

We have been in business in Conway, AR since 1980. We specialize in flooring materials and installation. We offer hardwood; all forms of ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile; carpet; vinyl; laminate; and commercial flooring. We offer basic and custom installation such as custom showers, tub surrounds, backsplashes, countertops, and custom designs in all flooring products. We offer free estimates and consultations, We have an interior decorator on staff to answer any questions or help with your ideas. Our installers work only for us and have worked for us an average of 15 years per crew with our oldest crew being with us for 25 years. We offer a 12 months/No Interest financing plan from Synchrony Bank.

Description of Work: We had our carpet stretched throughout the house and cleaned afterward. We have used them a couple of times to clean the carpets. They were on time and very pleasant. A little unresponsive when trying to get a hold of the right person, but overall a good experience each time we've used them.

Price was right. But the work the installer did was amazing. Started on Monday. Finished on Saturday. Tore up 700+ sf of glued down hardwood. Tiled same amount. Laid vinyl in sunroom. Cleaned up as they went. The end result is amazing. Could not ask for better. Highly professional. Hard working. Great crew!

I didn't have any work done by them. I went into the store and also called on the phone trying to get information about carpet and their installation services. I was very dissappointed in their knowledge and professionalism. That is when I asked to talk to Melissa Longing and was told she was no longer there and that the business had been sold. I can't say for sure that they aren't good because I didn't have any work done. But my initial experience with them caused me to look elsewhere for my carpet needs.

(Member name removed), First of all I would like to personally apologize for any misunderstandings or unprofessionalism that you experienced with us. The Carpet Center, Inc. is still under the ownership of the Longing Family. Monty Longing (son of Melissa and Danny), Rusty Parks (nephew of Melissa and Danny) and Chris Jaquez (no relation but considered family) are the new owners. Melissa is officially retired from the daily retail sales side of the business, however, she is still available upon request to help with interior design and material selection. Because of her very busy schedule with her property management we ask for a requested consultation time at least one week in advance. While we do pride ourselves on our product and installation knowledge, we have had to hire on several younger associates whose training in this industry is just starting. Rusty has been in both the sales and installation side of the business for over 32 years, Monty has been in the sales and management side of the business for over 15 years, and I (Chris Jaquez) have been in the sales, materials management, and cleaning side of the busines for over 10 years. While we are seasoned in the sales and installation side of the business, we are young as owners and we do make mistakes, but we own our mistakes and will try our best to correct any issue that we have caused. Alyssa Parks (daughter of Rusty) has stepped in to fill the place of Melissa (her aunt) as interior design and inside sales. Her knowledge in both sales and installation is growing by leaps and bounds everyday, given the chance I think that she will impress you with how much she knows about products at such a young age.I know that you have already purchased your carpet somewhere else but in the future please keep us in mind and give us the chance earn your business. The Carpet Center Inc. were available locally. We used them last 6 months ago. We were happy with them. They were good. Overall, I would rate their services as "B". We would use their services again in the future.

We have known the family for years and have used them before. They gave us a free estimate. They were really young guys but they did a great job. They came and stayed till the job was finished. They tore out the existing carpet installing that we had and installed the laminate flooring. I would highly recommend them. They told me exactly when they could place the order and when it would arrive, and the very next day they installed it and it was done. The price they gave me was a lot less than the other guys and one of the other guys had exactly the same product. It is a family-owned business and they have been in Conway for probably 30 years.
