We are a tree care business that has been servicing the northwest, AR area for over 50 years. We’ve been in business since 1964, and we’ve lasted this long by offering the best customer service around!
We have the most up-to-date equipment, including two bucket trucks. Our competitors routinely refer jobs to us that their equipment can’t handle. This also saves time on the job, which can translate into thousands of dollars in savings for you.
We are fully insured, for your protection. Tree work is dangerous, and most home owners do not know what can happen if their tree service company is not properly insured. Workmen’s Comp Insurance is required by the state, but not enforced. As a result, 98% of local companies go without. A Workmen’s Comp claim involving injury or death can amount to more than $500,000, and if the company isn’t insured, the property owner can be held responsible for the entire amount! Always ask for an insurance certificate.
We have a highly trained and efficient staff. Not only are we more responsive to your busy schedule, but the staff is trained to avoid damaging your property. We are also certified members of the Tree Care Industry Association. Additional phones: (479) 524-6703 and (417) 226-7430.

Brown's was outstanding through the entire process with both jobs. They were prompt and professional in every aspect of the work. In addition to completing the work I had asked for, their crew leveled the tree stumps at ground level and cleaned the entire area. The pride the crew took in **** an exemplary job was evident and greatly appreciated.
Description of Work: We had 2 projects that Brown's completed for us. The first was dealing with a very large oak tree that had been toppled by wind a couple years ago. The roots were tipped 90 degrees and sticking up 7 - 8 feet. There was still about 10 feet of the very large truck that I had not been able to deal with myself. The second was removal of a large oak tree that was overhanging our boat house and dock. Since it was leaning toward the water and had center rot, the was a significant likelihood that a strong wind could drop it on our boat house.

This is the 2nd time I tried to use this service. They were recommended to me and I'm so disappointed that they did not have the courtesy to get back with me. I tried to use them in 2015 to treat bag worms and they did not respond to my calls. After 3 messages, I gave up. A few weeks ago, I left a message and did receive a returned call. I was out, but called back within an hour and did not receive another returned call. I emailed them through their website, and still did not receive a message or call. This is not good customer service or professionalism. I have since found someone else to do the work.

As the owner, I've reviewed all of the call logs. Your call came in on 10/10 at 10:42. It was returned at 11:22 on the same day. The Office Manager left a VM that went unanswered by you. Furthermore, bagworms are not susceptible to any sort of treatment when they are mature. If we'd have spoken, we would have told you to beware scammers that charge up to $1,000 per tree. And in October, it is the absolutely wrong time to treat these. As the link attached shows (http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Bagworms) they need to be treated in early Spring, while the pests are in their larval phase. There'[Member Information Removed] not much that can be done outside of early Spring. I'm sorry we played phone tag, but there is not a company in the world that could guarantee you bagworms can be removed in October. Companies know this, but are relying on you calling them three to four times to remove them so they can make more money. We care about our reputation, and we would not have sold you any sort of bagworm removal that time of year, had we spoken.

The Brown's Tree Service folks were fantastic all the way through the estimate process through the process of cutting down the trees. Three very polite gentlemen arrived in their trucks that are made for picking up the debris and hauling it away. They confirmed the work we desired and they made short work of these two large trees. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly and professionally they carried out their task (and it was a very hot day!). They raked up the small debris in the yard before they left the premises. I am still waiting for one of the stumps to be ground down. I called their office and was informed that they had been having some difficulty with their stump grinder and that we were still on the list to have this service completed. I have every confidence that this will happen in the near future because of the superb service we received so far. I also thought the cost for the service was very reasonable.
Description of Work: We had two very large Bradford pear trees in our yard that we decided needed to be cut down and hauled away. We figured that they were fairly likely to lose large limbs at any moment. Those who have had these types of trees know of what I speak.

Description of Work: They took down 5 large old trees, efficiently, and safely in one day. Three of them were between a building and a fence. They used a chipper and cleared all the branches on the day they were here, and came back two days later to haul off the large trunks. They exceeded my expectations. I was told by friends that it cost about 300.00 to remove a single tree, so I was anticipating a higher cost.

Thank you for the kind words. In our business, work output is subjective (i.e., was the limb trimmed far enough back?). If there are any issues, we'll come out and take a look to see what can be fixed. All we ask is that customers report back to us if they are satisfied or not, at the end of the job.

Description of Work: They cleared dead wood out of two large oak trees in the back yard. The workers came and did a great job on the trees but did not have any billing information or paperwork and did not have anyone sign for the work done. They stated that they would come back and schedule the additional work that had been agreed upon. They did not come back and then billed us for ALL the work that had been agreed upon, including the work that was never done. After several attempts were made to schedule the other work and correct the billing issue, I was told they were very busy and would put us on the wait list. They never came back and then continued to insist for full payment. Very unprofessional from the start. Very poor communication.

Unfortunately, none of this is true. This case went to court, and a Judge found on behalf of Brown's, and against the above plaintiff. The customer did not pay, and has a Court judgement against them from the City of Rogers. Brown's was awarded the $850, plus legal fees. The case number is SC14-311, for anyone who wants to investigate further. This is nothing but a customer that tried to not pay, who lost in court, and is now trying to get even.

I had written a previous review and said things went South and I would go with another company. The company called me the next day after my first review. We discussed what seemed to have gone wrong and I believe my paperwork got caught in the middle of an ex-employee leaving and never was processed. Austin and I worked it out and they came the next day, hours earlier than first told and that was great, because I had many many errands to run that day. The 2 guys who came out were very nice and they did their work quickly and cleaned up the area very well. The stump grinding crew will come back in a few days to finish up the job. I am pleased with how things have gone so far and I would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks Austin for making things right.

At first good and then it went South as they say. Called to get estimate for cutting down tree and getting the stump ground up. They came out when I wasn't there and wrote up an estimate within 2 days. That was great. I called and discussed the estimate with Austin and decided to go with them. Austin said he would call the office and have them call me to set up a day and time for it. One week later still no phone call from the office. I called Austin back and once again he said he would have the office call me. That was 5 days ago, counting the weekend, and still no phone call to set up a day and time. I realize my job was not going to be allot of money for them, but if they really weren't interested I just wish they would have said so up front. Not sure who dropped the ball--Austin or the office crew. Either way, I will now go with another company to take care of my tree.
Description of Work: Only gave me an estimate for cutting down a tree and then it ended there. They never followed up with me (after 2 phone calls I placed to them) for setting up an appointment as to when they would take care of it.

There must be some sort of confusion here. #1- We never completed this job (and the review is marked as such). #2- We don't even have a signed contract for the job, in our system, it just shows as an estimate given. Until the estimate is flagged as a contract, we don't do the work (as that would be illegal). The owner has reached out to call you on this today, to try to straighten this out.

Cutting the trees down was fine - good work. I asked the workers to keep the back yard gate closed (once they had all their equipment in) and they did not close the gate all day. (Needed to let my dogs outside.) In backing their truck up on the property next door, the truck got stuck in the mud. They cut down several trees on my neighbors property without permission.

We'll call you to address any issues on this. I can say that we need to have the gates open at all times, or this would have significantly raised the price, as billing is done per hour. This was a big job, we need to have unfettered access, and we certainly have to make sure the area is clear of people or pets, to meet OSHA standards. Second, the truck was stuck in the yard because of all of the rain. The truck was moved within three hours of the job being completed (it had to be towed). Unfortunately, with the rains, what looks like it is dry enough may not be. There is no way to tell.

I had a very good experience with Browns Tree care, i was amazed how controlled they fell a tree in my backyard. The only complaint and they are losing a letter for that is on more than one occasion they missed there scheduled time to come out, then just showed up one day ready to cut the tree with out notice. These guys could sharpen there punctuality and communication a bit. But the actual tree service was stellar.

Overall was good. One of the trucks had an oil leak and a hydraulics leak on my driveway. They were unable to totally clean this up due to the type of driveway. They came while I was at work and were about a week after the quote was agreed upon. I was happy with the price and the overall work and follow up (got three calls to ensure I was satisfied). Only had one issue and it was minor. Some of the longer limbs and branches could have been chopped to make the cleanup for me a bit easier but we didn't clarify that so I don't really blame them. Overall very happy and have plenty of firewood now!! I would recommend them again. (also did two large trees on my rental property which I will post separately)

I called Browns Tree Service to get an estimate for having a rather large dead tree taken down that right next to our house. They came out the next afternoon provided a very reasonable quote and scheduled the service for a few days later. They we right on time for the scheduled service and took extra precautions to make sure nothing hit our house and also put the remains in a area that made it easy for me to haul away to the stump dump. The whole process was very easy and would certainly recommend them for tree service.

They showed up (without calling to set up a time like they said they would) while we were at work, but was quick to take down the tree and trim the limbs needed. My issue is that they dropped it across my driveway and left it there for over 7 days!! We could not get one of our vehicals out of the garage! After several repeated calls to find out when they were going to come and clean up the tree....they still didn't show up even when we told them that we had to load our son's car to go away to college and we at least needed a path cut to the house. We are now on day 8 of this tree being across our driveway and my husband had to use a chainsaw to cut us a path to our front door stairs. The owner offered to take $150 off of the price on 8/22 and although that is nice...I still have a tree across my driveway that is a huge inconvenience!

Sorry for the problems, but at this time, we had a huge storm. We were pulling trees out of people's living rooms so they could turn their power back on. We work on thousands of homes a year, but this one is memorable. The crew was supposed to go back in 48 hours to get the limb, they did not, and that entire crew was TERMINATED over this issue. Mistakes happen, but in this case, they reported to the office that they removed the limb from your driveway much earlier. And this was not the case, it was obviously still sitting in your driveway. We do our best to keep quality high, and apologize for the inconvenience. If we didn't have high standards, we wouldn't be the area's longest running tree service (serving the area for 50 years). If this had happened in a non storm situation, your experience would have been different. When a storm happens, demand goes up 100 times over normal, and like any other tree service, things will get missed. We've not had an issue like this since, if the crews say they fixed an issue, it's been fixed.

Had Browns Tree Care trim 3 trees. Two in back yard and one int the front yard. Not satisfied with tree in the front yard. Took some off the top and only tips on sides. Took pictures and sent letter. They said they didn't receive it. Paid $600.00 of the $900.00 they charged. Called and asked someone to come by, They said someone came by, but he never stopped and talked to anyone. They told me if any more was trimmed off the tree may die. I had two other tree services come and look at it and they both said it would not hurt if more was trimmed off. In June I took more pictures and wrote another letter. The only answer I got was to pay the rest or go to court. The lady that answers the phone will not give the name of the owner or the boss, can t talk to anyone to any thing done. Now its going to cost me more to get it done right. You can see the tree in Rogers AR at 1015 S 22 St.

For this job, the customer insisted that we take too much off of the tree. Google the keyword "topping" and you will see thousands of arborists recommending to not top this time of year (or at all for that matter). It was Summer time, and you can kill a tree by topping that time of the year. We offered to take more off of it in the Winter. When it'[Member Information Removed] cold, it'[Member Information Removed] safer to trim more off of a tree, so that it'[Member Information Removed] not killed. The tree is safer to cut extensively when dormant. We always give the correct diagnosis. Most other tree services are more than willing to take off too much from the tree, because they can charge you once for the trim, and then again when the tree dies. That is not a good business practice, and we don't do that. The end result was we did finish it, but at a time when it would be safer for the tree'[Member Information Removed] overall health. We are sorry you were upset, but we did the right thing for the tree. I know that you are happy that we finished the job in the Winter, and normally, I'd ask you to remove this review, but I want to leave this up for all to see how we do business. We will not do anything to enrich ourselves at the expense of the health of your trees. Our diagnosis is based on science, and not needing a paycheck. We pass on thousands and thousands of dollars every year of this sort of request. Our reputation means something to us.
