+ -1 moreThey did not show up. They did not call and tell us they were unable to make the move. They did not call to reschedule.
Description of Work: We have used Pricketts twice. First time they moved washer, dryer, armoire, television, kitchen table and chairs from old house to new house. We left the remaining furniture in our old house until it sold. The second time they moved us, after our home sold, they moved household contents to the new house and other contents to storage units. It rained heavily the day of the move and they were unable to get two armoires down the hillside to the lower level sitting room and bedroom. They also moved a baby grand piano into storage. I was in agreement that the armoires needed to be moved on a dry day. The armoires were left in my garage. At the end of our second move, they told us they would move the armoires and piano when we were ready. On Monday, August 1, Jeff told us that they would come back on the following Monday, Aug 8, to move the armoires and piano. As of Wednesday, Aug 10, neither have they shown up to move the furniture nor have we yet to hear back from them. We have called their cell phone, texted them and left a message at the office phone. I understand moving a household is hard to estimate how much time is needed. I am disappointed that we never received a text or phone call telling us they were delayed. Last night we left a message saying, we still wanted them to move the furniture, but if they considered us a job, not worth their time, then to please let us know. Since we have not heard back from them, I assume it is not worth their time. I am still pleased with their care and ability to move furniture. I regret that they cannot find time for a text or phone call. I need to know that I can rely on them to communicate delays and reschedule. If you are widely flexible in moving, yes, I would use them again.But if you are on a schedule, I would find a company with a history of being reliable.

+ -1 moreI called early that Monday morning asking for their services. I explained that we needed to move several large pieces to our new house. He asked when I needed their service. I laughed and said this morning. He told me they were coming to Little Rock to pick up a truck and he could be there by 8:30 am. True to his word, three men arrived at 8:30 am. They moved a very large antique French buffet, a queen sized therapedic brand mattress set, a large armoire, a six foot tall triple mirror, an antique pie safe, kitchen table with six chairs, medium size slipper chair, washer and dryer and an 8 X 10 oriental rug. All of the furniture came from a single story home, but the very heavy therapedic mattress set had to be moved to a downstairs bedroom. These movers were excellent. They had all of the pads, straps, dollies. They moved every piece with great care. And they made it look effortless. This is the first time that I did not stress because the pieces seemed too heavy for the men to carry. They knew how to position the dollies so that the dollies did the heavy lifting. I recommend Prickett Movers for any of your moving needs. Once our house sells, I will use them to move the complete contents from the old home to our new home. I also recommend them for moving furniture in-home when a room needs to be rearranged.

Description of Work: Prickett's moved my elderly mother from a 2nd floor (no elevator) apartment, to an assisted living facility. They also disposed of unwanted items for us.

+ -1 moreOn the day of the move, the guys were there precisely when they were scheduled to arrive and moved all of our furniture (including quite a number of family and other antiques) and books (including their packing) efficiently. The design of our apartment building made moving everything inside extremely difficult. But this, too, went smoothly and with no nicks or scratches. Adding only minutes to the bill and with no complaints, they re-moved furniture already placed inside when I changed my mind about where the pieces would best go.
Description of Work: Pricketts moved us across town as we downsized from a house to an apartment. This was one of several movers mentioned to us by our realtor. We received a quick response to our call and a bid in writing that included boxes at no charge and the packing of most of our many, many books. The bid/estimate was for four men at $120 per hour.

+ -1 moreThey are great movers. They have a great price, were very careful with my stuff, were quick, prompt, and dependable. Some of the best movers I have used, and I have used many. Nothing was damaged, broken or lost. They packed and loaded us in one day. I have never seen such efficiency. They drove us to Little Rock, unloaded us, moved furniture and were as accommodating as can be. They were out by 7:30 that evening. A great experience all around.

+ -1 moreIt didn t cost that much to move us and it was within my budget. I called other companies and he gave me the best price. Nothing was stolen, scratched or broken. He did a good job packing and unpacking just the big stuff. He was quick and worked hard to please me, which I was.
Description of Work: They moved my property 12 miles from Pleasantville to Maumelle.
