Our gas water heater gave out on the Sunday before Labor Day. We tried calling three other plumbers before reaching J C Plumbing. No answer from them but Josh from J C answered and sent Clint out. He called and asked a few questions so he knew which replacement heater to bring and had us fixed up before sundown. We couldn't be happier with the service and will be calling them the next time we need anything plumbing related. And we will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber!

Terrible Experience. These guys have been out to my hours 2x in the last 6 weeks to unplug a line to the septic tank. So far it has cost me over a $1000 dollars and they still have not resolved the issue. Last time they did not have the right tools to fix it and charged me a second time to have the guy come out with the right tools to clear the line. They have not showed up when they said they would. They were supposed to estimate fixing the issue and instead they recommended i fix it myself to save some money. They dug up the access to my septic tank to clear the blockage and left the septic tank open. I guess they expect me to bolt the access down and cover it back up myself. These guys are unbelievable. If you have other options i recommend you don't use these guys.

Description of Work: Excellent customer service! Had an appointment the next day, the plumber was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. He let me know which work did and did not need to be done. The work was performed quickly, at a good price, and all items were fixed. Highly recommended.

I used my home warranty to hire JC plumbing for more than one thing. First, they replaced my hot water heater, but when they left, it had a slow leak. I called them to come back out and they said they would. The next day I got a call asking about the leak and the plumber told me to take a picture of it and they would send a different plumber out. I ended up having someone else fix it. Today they were supposed to come out to fix a running toilet and I was told they would be there around 10 so my father in law was there at 9:30 to wait on them so I could go to work. At 10:45 I called and whoever answers the phone over there is very rude. He put me on hold for 10 minutes just to come back and tell me he would have a plumber call me. Then, an hour and a half later the same guy calls back to see when is a good time, and that no one would have told me to be there at 10 because that's not the way they work. He asks me what was going on because they have done some work over there before, and made it seem like he didn't want to send anyone out. He was just a rude person and finally told me they would call me an hour before they come so I can meet them. I won't do business with them in the future.

Everything was fine - EXCEPT - You will be charged a $99.00 charge to show up. They did not tell me that via my phone call - even though I asked directly. Rather they responded that I would be given an estimate before any work began. Just be aware.

A few years ago this same guy came to my house to repair something for Lowe's. I wasn't real happy with him then but I had forgotten. All I wanted was the parts in the toilet tank replaced. I had already bought the parts so all he had to do was put them in. He wanted $350 to put my parts in the tank. I felt stuck so I agreed. He later said a screw was loose at the bottom of the toilet. He charged me $300 to fix that. Before he left he wanted to clean the drain on the air conditioner and wanted $150 to do that. The last thing I told him no. After he left I called Jim's Old Fashioned service and they cleaned the drain for $85. First, I think this guy way over charged me. He messed around a lot. Once he said he needed to go to lowe's which was 5 minutes from here and he was gone a whole hour. We had to leave to run errands we were gone one hour. This guy did all the work in a total of 1 and 1/2 hour. Essentially I had to pay him about $400 per hour. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! This is twice with me. I have taken his card and written DO NOT CALL on it so I will never call him again. He said he needed to put a new drain cutoff on if he was to guarantee that it would not leak. In other words, if you don't let him do work that is totally not necessary he won't guarantee the work he did do. What an unbelievable bunch of garbage. To top everything else this guy has a Bible scripture on his card and says "honest work for an honest price." I have had numerous professionals in this house to fix things. I did not feel he was either honest on the price or his service. I should have had better sense using someone carpetbagging on the name of Jesus to get business. I really regret messing with these people and will never do it again.

The actual worker ( Daniel) was excellent. Knew his stuff and was a Master plumber. He continued to have to talk to his boss about things as per the boss requirement. Daniel was told to put the pressure reducer UNDER the house when Daniel himself thot it would be better outside within easy reach ( Daniel knew more than boss!). Daniel was very professional and explained a lot. My beef is with the owner's $150 just to look at the leak ( we were desperate for time , otherwise we would have turned him away). Further, if the owner hires a good plumber like Daniel, he ought not to micro-manage every spitting detail which made a short fix into a 3 hour one !!!. He advertizes the BBB logo and so I assume thr owner(JC) is a good man just that the he needs to get back to standard fees for service charges and let his Master plumber do "master plumbing" w/o minute-by-minute contact.
Description of Work: Diagnosed leaky shower control ( $150 diagn, fee).Installed pressure reducer valve ($375). Discovered that the Delta faucet part was defective. Called Delta for another one to be sent b/c Home Depot did not have replacement

We called JC Plumbing when we had our water turned on earlier that day and we had a major pipe leak. They sent two gentleman out that day that fixed the leak so we could have the water turned back on that day. They also checked through the home and discussed with us future plumbing problems we may wish to get fixed. They were courteous and honest and we'd use them again in the future if needed.

Did not go well at all. But that's what they hoped would happen.
Description of Work: WARNING! This is a total SCAM operation! Here's how it works: they have a top listing on GOOGLE SEARCH so that their name pops up first when you search Google for Plumbers in N.W. Arkansas. When you call, their phone operator gives a real slick sales pitch about how fast and affordable they are, and then asks about the problem and reason for call. I described in detail my two, quite minor, plumbing issues. The operator said that it sounded fast and simple, but that they have a "house call fee" of $99 to be paid before they show up... but that it's applied against the billing costs. In my case, if the work was less than $99, then they would refund the difference to my credit card. So the guy shows up, looking more like a slickly dressed car salesman than a "get your hands dirty" plumber. Ironically, his name was "Rich." He looks at my projects: 1). replace the kitchen spigots with a new set that I bought from Lowes, and place a toilet stool back into proper position after some tile work was completed. So "Rich" looks around under the sink (?!) and studies the toilet placement, and says that he needs to go to the van and calculate the costs. He comes back in 15 minutes with a bid of $275 to place the toilet back, and $590 to put on the new spigot fixtures in the kitchen. There's no parts involved, just 'labor." Needless to say, we declinded to accept these quotes, but where's my $99 bucks? I'll tell you where: they never planned on doing any plumbing work! They are in the business of taking $99 per housecall for outrageous bids that they know will be rejected! BE WARNED! I'm contacting the State consumer protection and fraud authorities. They should NOT be allowed to steal $99 at a time from people looking for a plumbing quote!!

First they were 2 hours late. Then 1 guy shows up and inspects the work to be done. He then says he needs to check the whole house. I said why? He responded that in case there are other things wrong he can just bill us once for it. Look...I was born at night but not last night. The house is 4 years old so the toilet issue was an anomoly. So, the first guy sits outside for about 45 minutes when the SECOND guy shows up. He said he would be the one actually doing the work. He comes and swaps out the valve in all of 10 minutes then tells me he has to inspect the rest of the house. Uh, I don't frackin think so...so a THIRD guy is now in route at this time. I got the feeling the house was being cased. I'm a war time decorated Army Ranger; if anyone from there shows up with bad intentions I have some bad intentions of my one for shady business. DO NOT HIRE THESE CLOWNS!!!!

He came out and capped it. It had not been installed properly. They were very reponsive and very polite. It was not a standard installation so they had to do a lot of extra work to get the problem fixed. They did all of the work without charging me an arm and a leg. I felt they were very fair.
Description of Work: The house I'm living in is a rental. When I turned on the water in the tub the fixture broke and water was spewing everywhere. I couldn't find any valves anywhere to turn off the water. We ended up shutting of the water in my home.

They were not very good. We know the owner at church. We didn't want our name associated with a negative review. I will not be calling them. The guy that came out and fixed it was under $200. I would tell friends and family not to call them. I would give them a warning. I talked to them late at night. They promised to come the next day, which they did. It was kind of urgent for someone to be there soon. They answered the phone. They made an appointment. They kept the appointment time. That was good. When they got out here, they didn't really didn't know what they were doing. He wasn't able to give me a price quote on his own. He had to take it apart. He took it away. It took him a week to get back with me. Then, it was way, way overpriced. I would not use them in the future. We actually used Angie's List to find a higher rated plumber and they got it all resolved.
Description of Work: JC Plumbing came out and did an estimate. It was an emergency. They shut my water off. They did an estimate on fixing my tub. They estimated the costs to repair at $750. This was with my church discount. You can imagine how much they charge others. They charged $120 for them to come out and look at it. It included them looking at it, taking some parts away, to go look into some parts, and shut my water off.

Two guys arrived one young guy told the other what to do. told me a price and left. I was not offered a selection of fixtures to choose from and told that the only other option would probably not work. The older plumber left to get what he needed because they did not have it with them. Then was there about two hours and left again for about 45 minutes and came back finished showed me that I had water pressure asked for a dustpan packed collected the check and left. The floor of the shower was not washed, and I am not sure what the dust pan was used for becuase the floor was left a mess. Then when I tried to take a shower the new control did not go all the way to Hot and all I had was luke warm tepid temperature water. When I called and reported this the company says well maybe you just don't know how it works. It took me three calls to get them to tell me they had a person coming. it took that person two and a half hours to get there. I had missed the mornings work and because it took them so long to get back I missed the afternoon losing a whole day of work. The young guy came back and said I know what it is these come with a safety feature so that you can't burn yourself. I am a 53 year old woman who has no children living in my house I wasn't asked how hot I wanted my shower. he fiddled with it said ok you have hot water and left. I did a temperature check after the shower had been running as hot as I could get it and it was 104 degrees. My sink puts out 120 when it is turned to pure hot. I also called five other plumbers told them what they did and was advised that this should have been a job that was between 250.00 plus parts, and 400.00 plus parts They all said I would have been given a choice of fixtures and they all said I was ripped off. They may have Jesus Christ in their ad in the yellow pages and say they have Jesus in their hearts but they are not doing unto their fellow man as they would want done unto them. Sorry but I regret using them and that I let the idea of losing the $99.00 consulting fee for looking at the problem make me chose to go ahead and have them fix it.
Description of Work: The water in my shower had stopped coming out of the shower head. The plumber made a hole in the dry wall behind the shower pipes and removed the mixing valve that controlled where hot and cold came together. drilled another hole through my marble shower wall and put in a new shower fixture.

I would never use JC Plumbing and would not recommend them.
Description of Work: My water heater stopped working. I called JC Plumbing for an estimate. The guy came here and said it needed a thermocoupler which was not under warranty. The estimate to repair it was $800. He recommended replacing the water heater and said the cost would be $1200. I called another plumber. He checked and the thermocoupler was under warranty. The parts were sent (fedex or ups) at no charge. The plumber that completed the work charged me $50 labor. I told the JC Plumbing guy about this and he said it would probably not fix the problem and that the plumber I hired was probably not experienced. He was going to charge me $800 to replace a part the can be purchased at a plumbing supply for about $10 and took about 30 minutes to install. The water heater has been working well for over a year now. I first met him when Lowes sent him to install a dishwasher I purchased there. He did a good job installing the dishwasher, but did try to talk me into additional plumbing services that I did not need.

We overall were extremely disappointed.
Description of Work: Well first I should say that although this is my first review we have used JC plumbing twice. We have rental property and the first time we used them we felt their price was very fair as well as they were prompt and the serviceman was really a nice guy. SO when we had a small leak in our kitchen garbage disposal I didn't think twice about calling JC Plumbing. I made the appointement for my renters and they were scheduled between 2-4. Turns out they couldnt make it until 8-10 pm so my renters rescheduled. When they called to tell me they were on their way I asked that they please call and let me know what was wrong before and the price. He did, he said that the repair to our garbage disposal would be almost $600 (you can buy a new one for $300). My husband told him after a long conversation to not fix it just disconnect it . It wasn't worth it to pay almost $600 for something thats more a convenience. So we were surprised when he said it would be $225.00. The fee to have them come out is $90.00 and it goes toward the cost of the repair. We were very surprised with the amount. We shouldn't have paid until we spoke with the manager but we did pay that evening. The next day we called the office manager after some researching the office manager told us that he (the service guy) logged 2.5 hours at our house and that the office manger said the service guy logged that the disposal had been fixed. Well our renters were home the entire time and when we asked how long he was there, he said he spent about 25 minutes inside and about 45 minutes on his phone in the driveway. I'm not paying him to sit on his phone outside but either way you slice it it doesn't come out to 2.5 hours. Not to mention that the disposal was disconnected wasn't fixed at all. After a few more calls the manager said he was sorry but there was nothing else we could do and this was the charge. My husband and I always pay our bills and this is the very first review I have ever written but we were extremely disappointed. We are happy to pay for time and services but this is really an issue of principle. We were charged for 2.5 hours of labor and the serviceman worked inside my renters home for 25 minutes even after knowing that the office manager did nothing to reimburse for the time.
