They came over promptly for an estimate. Once we decided to go with them they finished on schedule.

I am satisfied with their services. They are very professional. They are sort of a family oriented and they kind of understand where I am coming from. They are very accommodating around my schedule. Overall they are one of the best that we have ever worked with.

My daughter said they were wonderful! He had to show up several times because he had to order parts but he only charged for one visit. He was very clean, very neat, very polite. He showed up on time.

They did everything they said they'd do and did it just right! Their cost was extremely reasonable for the quality of the work they did and they were very accomodating. They were very efficient and took much less time than I thought it would and they did just a real good job. They were also very professional.

When I asked if it shouldn't be sanded I was told it was unnecessary but the hand rails would be. Deck nor the rails were ever sanded. The job seemed to have gone fine and everything looked good but now after 4-5 months there are cracks appearing in the wood. It looks like it will require another coat.

He said he would have the work done within a week and he did it in less than a week. I can tell by looking at the deck that he has done very good work. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

I originally planned to do most of the work myself and planed to call John to do the parts that I didn't think I could do. After pricing the materials and figuring the cost of taking 10 days off work to do the job, I decided that it was cheaper and better to let John take care of the whole thing. We sat down with John and he listened to what we thought we wanted and expected from the project. After listening to our desires he took us step by step through our thoughts and pointed out things we missed and made suggestions on how to get a better end product for less money. We appreciated that he LISTENED to us and made sensible suggestions but never forced his point of view on us. Rather than take time off work to work on this project we went on vacation while the work was being done. We came home after a week to a completed job done exactly as we were told it would be done. The house and yard were spotless and It was hard to tell where the old house ended and the addition began. We are so pleased with the quality of the work, cost of the project, project timeline, and the helpfulness of this company. We ended up with exactly what we wanted.

John, sounded like he was awakening from deep sleep when I phoned. Once he came around, he didn't listen and kept interrupting me about the details on the job and told me he needed to see the job and he would provide an estimate. John failed to respond immediately as he indicated he would. He further stated he and his brother had the time to work the job he just needed to estimate it. He promised to provide me an estimate by the next day. He failed to provide the estimate, follow up or call me. When I called there was no answer at the phone number. Finally after two days, I received a lame email stating he would not have time to estimate the job for two months. In the mean time, I wasted time awaiting his estimate and now I have to start over finding someone else to estimate the job. How unprofessional, I cannot imagine how he can stay in business operating with such disregard for a potential customers time. If you cannot count on the word of the contractor in something as simple as following up and living up to their initial commitment to estimate the job. It would be wise not to believe you can count on the contractor at all! No, I positively would not recommend anyone give any consideration to this contractor.

Quality of paint used was a contractors grade though we had requested a QUALITY paint be used. This caused us to have to pay for a second coat of paint that was not included in their original price/bid. Even though painting job did NOT include doors and baseboards, we have been scraping paint off them for months following the job. On the shower remodel they tried to get away with using some of the old drywall, and new common drywall (not properly backed, nor the proper drywall for a shower). We caught that and made them replace it with the correct material--hardy board. We gave them SPECIFIC size opening for the shower, and they ended up with an opening for the shower door 4 inches oversize. They also cracked some of the existing floor tiles of the bathroom, because the tiles were not properly protected during construction. They rebuilt the widened door jam with a cheap grade pine, rather than matching it to the existing surrounding smooth materials; this resulted with knots bleeding through the paint, and an extremely rough and ugly finish. The electrical hookup was left disconnected in the attic forcing us to hire an electrician to complete the electrical work by installing a junction box and installing the light fixture. When we contacted John Sobiech about these problems his response was an ugly email, full of insults and innuendos. We have since reported him to the Arkansas Contractors Board, and we are waiting a response on this. We definitely do NOT recommend Bella Vista Contractors. He TALKS a good game--but Beware of his work!!

Our experience has been terrific. They have been willing to work with us on the project which has allowed us to do some of the tasks, reducing the overall cost. Their prices are very reasonable, they are very detail oriented. The estimates are line itemed out so you know what each task will cost. They did not require any payment before the work was completed. They responded quickly and gave an honest assessment of the time and cost of the project They consistently met their timelines They answered multiple questions about the best way to complete some the tasks we were doing on our own They work as a partner with you throughout the project and keep you updated along the way They worked well with the other professionals coming in and out of the project, for example the plumber, electrician, HVAC, etc. Wonderful experience, will use them ANYTIME we have the need.
