Description of Work: Jesse gave us a very reasonable quote to rock our home 1/2 of the way up all the way around,stating that it would take 3 weeks .This was in Mar'10. He worked 1 week conviced us to do the entire front of house and corners all the way up for $500 more than original quote. So far all was fine. He wanted 1/3 of money at the end of each week, with 1/3 up front.( beginning deal. ) At the start of second week showed up 2 days and told us he needed more money to buy materials to do job since he had under bid the job. We couldn't get him to return calls or show up unless my husband worked with him all day. Materials were supposed to be included in estimate and we began to have to buy materials. He never came by in May except to drop off rocks, then leave, he wouldn't even work the day after driving 35 miles. Sometimes he would only work a few hrs a day. Maybe worked a day or 2 in June , never when we were around . Our 3 wk job turned into months. Now it is July and we can't get him to answer phone or come to house . When we did get him on the phone it was constant complaining about the good deal he had given us. We have paid him all of the money except $140.When we refused to give him the rest of the money until he finished ,we also refused to buy any more materials ,as these were included in original bid--He loaded up his tools and left. House is no where near finished .We had to threaten to take him to court ,send him certified letters. Finally his brother came and finished the job on the house to keep him from going to court. (it took his brother and a helper 2 full days of work to finish up) See what Jesse could have done if he just would have done what he was paid to do. He did not lay our foundation.Which was part of the deal ,We felt bad that his brother had to finish Jesse's work and just hired someone else. This is apparently Jesses M.O. Jesse told me to my face that he gets started on peoples homes and they are forced to give him more money so that he will finish. He is also involved with a local ministeries and uses that so people will think he is honest. BEWARE.. The sad part is that the little work he actually did was excellent.He just has no idea how to bid job and don't be tempted by the low bid . He is disorganized and not dependable.
