Get-ER-Done Handyman Services

Once again Eddie saved the day. This is the second time we have used him and it will not be the last. He replaced the garage door opener at my parents house. The double garage doors are old and were out of line and hanging on something when opening and closing. My husband thought surely it was beyond repair. Eddie stayed with it and got it fixed. He is knowledgeable, honest, sincere and reasonably priced. These are things that are important to me and why I will continue to use his services.

He was on time, very professional and cleaned up after himself. When Mr. Higgins tells you he will be there a certain time, he will be there by that time. I will definitely use him again for other things. He is actually schedule to come back to work on my refrigerator.

Looks great! Got it done in a week even though the weather was horrid! We will use him again when we redo some more floors and our kitchen. We already got a quote.

He did a good job. He was on time, and we were pleased with him.

I talked to him about redoing the floor in the bathroom and replacing a toilet. He was well under the budget what I expected it would be. He did the job a lot better than what I thought it would be. He got it done ahead of schedule and within the budget. I offered him other jobs like replacing the kitchen sink and putting in a new faucet and he took care of that too. Again well under budget and right on schedule. I again asked him to look at the shower since I was getting only hot water and not cold water. Again he did it under budget and ahead of schedule. He hooked up a generater and I wanted a concrete bed for it. He found a concrete beneath the grass and he took the help of another man and dug that out and replaced it on the other side and placed the generator on that. He saved a good 500$ on that. We can never find too many people doing such things. He also made sure that the generator is running well and also built a shelter over the generator. Last thing I had him to do was put in a garbage disposal. Anytime anything I need, that is the guy I call. He saved so much money and did everything ahead of schedule. This guy should be rated A. He cleaned up everything too. He is amazing.

Eddy did a great job on the bathroom counters. I had purchased pre-fab laminate, but it turns out even the pre-fab was too big for my cabinets. Eddy cut the counters to fit including removing and then refitting the backsplash and the side edging. He went above and beyond the make these new counters work in my space. He installed one new sink and re-used another. The results are beautiful. It really updates the look of the bathrooms!

I needed a handyman and called Eddie because he had such good reviews on Angie's List. He did not disappoint. He came out the very next day after my call. He was prompt, professional, and honest. In addition, his prices are very reasonable. After meeting him it is obvious he is talented and can fix, repair, or build almost anything. This work was for my elderly parents home but my husband & I quickly decided he will be our go-to for our own house for upcoming projects.

He came right on time. Finished in less than 1 hour. Cleaned everything up. He was very nice and very professional. We are going to use him again absolutely!

My appliances were delivered three days before Thanksgiving and due to a miscommunication with the store, both my stove and my dishwasher were left sitting in their boxes in my kitchen. Eddy really saved the day! He responded quickly to my phone call and came to the house within a very short time frame during a very busy week. He came out, looked at my existing appliances and the new ones I had purchased, evaluated what work would need to be done and provided an estimate up front. He then got to work and despite having to make two trips out for supplies (my fault, not his) he still finished within a few hours. The installation required hard wiring, minor plumbing, and carpentry work. He even installed a plug behind my stove to make it more convenient if I needed to move it out in the future. I was very pleased with his work and have already asked him to come back to help with more projects! Thank you again, Eddy!

The work was excellent. We had a slight mix up over dates - just a communication matter but once sorted everything was great.

Stated to all that would take 1 1/2 weeks, at most 2. 3 weeks later NOT complete Not completed: Floors, painting, doors, plumbing, tub attachments, trim, and fans/lights Had to redo most of plumbing (it was flowing upward) Ceramic tile grout is cracking Spent much time redoing mistakes of his own and his untrained employees Lost parts in closed with newly purchased item Very surprised whenever turned on tub shower to see fixture go flying across tub (had not accounted for 1/2 MIPS threads needed and now must tear into that....THEN on top of that the drain leaked, not a little, a lot BECAUSE he had pried a piece of wood to attempt to force down pipe in order to drain.... This not only knocked loose the fittings but also cracked new ceramic grout above Cut railing for closet door that was not supposed to be cut (promised part never received) Several times employees didn't show (contract for 3 men) never had three experienced men and insisted time and again to count young friend of one employee as 'a man' Cut huge chunks out for plumbing thus potential for weakening floor Painted rooms prior to sparkling hole of previous light fixtures (shows up dramatically) Short cut plaster on top of one bath believing wouldn't be seen... paint anyway Allowed silver solder to drop any where Allowed PVC cement to drop any where Miss cut door hinge versus door frame Left mess where cleaning painting equip Insisted texturizing was 'painting' (looks like I have 'clouds') Used 2 1/2 brad nails to install trim onto wall where pocket door located (scratched up door) and never even attempted to rectify even though you could hear the etching sound and even see the scratches Took time to shop for and spend money on unnecessary items (ex: plumbed 15 feet were could have easily tied in at 7 feet Seriously I could go on... The more I work to complete this job, the more frustrated I become. I should sue in small claims but can't really bring myself to do that. Not sure how this guy is even on Angie's list he is definitely NOT set up for rehabbing. Maybe an odd job here or there but nothing on a scale that I need and continue to need. I'm sure he means well but just not capable. WARNING If you use this guy.... BID the detailed job, don't allow him to say he will have this many men and will charge this amount. I hope this keeps others from having to go through what I have. I've had much better performance from a company on a free site and one that was a reference. I have wondered if some of the other 'A' ratings are "family and friends" especially since a couple were done during the time he was suppose to be working for us.

In this day of getting poor customer service, it was so refreshing to find someone like Eddy Higgins. He promptly returned all phone calls, showed up exactly on time and performed the work professionally. I will certainly be using him again when I need a handyman. His charge was more than reasonable.

He did a great job! As always, he cleaned up after himself and the work was awesome! He's done work for us in the past and I would definitely recommend him for any job!

This is the second time I have Mr. Higgins work on my house and the project went well. Eddy started on a Friday and finished up on Monday (he did not work on Sat or Sun). Eddy works efficiently. He replaced damaged dry wall in the laundry room and kitchen which was damaged as a result of a leak in the up stairs bathroom. He also added some wood support framework to the ceiling and then replaced and painted pop-corn ceiling. The work looks very good. I will be using Eddy again. Highly recommend you consider using him for your next home project.

Eddie is wonderful! There are a lot of flaky people in this business, but he is not one of them! He always called or showed up exactly when he said he would & he is very professional. He seems like a genuinely good guy. He took off our damaged baseboards & went all the way to Conway to find a match. He re-painted our garage after someone else had done a horrible job. Also, there were patched places on a couple walls where we'd had plumbing work done for frozen hose bibs. Someone else patched them & was just going to paint, but Eddie put the orange peel texture on them, then painted. He was very quiet while he was here and his work is superb! We are already planning on using him for a couple of other things!

Went well.As I had a water leak he worked me in even though he was very busy.Arrived on time,checked out the problem,fixed in a hurry and charged nothing.Always explains everything and waste no time while working.Will be using his services in the future

Built a large concrete patio off of the existing concrete patio at my home. He came out, did the estimate, explained to me all of my options regarding the concrete and we decided on a time to complete the work. He was unable to do the work at the original time through no fault of his own (thunderstorms occurring) and promptly called to let me know that the work couldn't happen that day and rescheduled. The job lasted about a day and a half (he had estimated 2). There were only 2 small issues and he addressed both quickly and efficiently. 1. The seam between the old and new concrete: Once the new concrete was drying the seams did not match perfectly. He came back out that evening and fixed that issue and now the seams are perfectly matched. 2. The concrete truck was too large to fit in my fence: My gate is apparently not a standard size and the concrete truck was unable to fit in the yard. Eddie contacted me and let me know this and that he could take apart part of the fence panel to allow the truck access to the yard. He did this and replaced the fence panel to like new condition. I cannot tell where it has been moved at all. He constructed the patio on a slight grade which is not noticeable to the naked eye however prevents water from pooling on the patio when it rains. I am very happy with this work and will call him again in the future when I need something done. I have also recommended him to my coworkers.

Went very well! Eddy called, and asked if he could come a day earlier than scheduled. He arrived at the time he said would, and completed the work in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend and use Eddy again.

Great. So responsive. I got the estimate the SAME day. Others took weeks to respond! He even drove back early from a trip in Texas just to help me get it done for a walk through before the sale of our home. I would definitively recommend Eddy! He went above and beyond my expectations and got the job done fast!! Note: I had a bad experience with another deck guy I found on Angie's list who took 10 days to respond, and then was so rude and he blamed his lack of response on me. With Eddy I had the complete opposite experience. Don't waste your time with the deck guy on Angie's list that has the most reviews, but is rude and responsive. I would definitely suggest that you start with Eddy. He'll do the job quickly, make it look fantastic and it'll be good experience!!!

Did exactly what he said,was on time and was very easy to communicate with.Price was very fair and intend on using his services in the future.

This went very well. He was on time finished on time. Reset the exterior door in record time. He was very quite. Removed the trim set right door jam. reassembled the door facing. Set the glass storm door, now it latches just right. Threshold board need to be replaced. He put in a treated board. Everything was solid and square. Finished in about one hour.
