Get-ER-Done Handyman Services

It was easy to schedule him. He first came out to look over the jobs and gave an estimate. His wife called the next day to schedule the service. Since I was willing to schedule the repairs for a Saturday, they were able to fit me in the same week that he came to give the estimate. I was given a time range in which he was to show up. Well within that time range, he called to say he was on his way. He works very quickly and efficiently. He got all the repairs done just about an hour--including the time it took to go to the hardware store for a replacement bathtub spout. He's a clean worker, friendly and professional.

I found Eddy Higgins on Angie's List last year, or the year before, and was impressed with his work. So we called him again and once again he has done an outstanding job. His work is perfect, he is friendly, his prices are reasonable. When he leaves, you cannot tell that any work was done, every nail and scrap is removed. I have already called him again to do more work for us. Service like his is very hard to find these days. And he can do almost anything you need done around the house.

GET-ER-DONE did an excellent job installing the dishwasher, ordering the part for the refrigerator, and completing the repair. Eddy Higgins was on time for both the estimate and the actual job. The cost for part and services was reasonable. The install and repair were done quickly, neatly and professionally. I would highly recommend this company to perform any type work you might need done and will definitely use again!

He was supposed to get us an estimate on the windows but he never called back. I called for about a week and left messages for him and his wife but he never called back. He came out and looked at the windows before but never came back.

Initially it was very difficult to get ahold of anyone, and it took a while to get an estimate from them. We were told to call and get information on what additional supplies were needed (particle board, 2x4s, etc.), but we we never able to get ahold of anybody. It worked out fine though, they ended up getting the supplies needed and just added it to the final bill. They were very professional, always on time, and so nice. They did an incredible job, it really looks fantastic. And they were very kind to my puppy! Kept giving her treats. The only bad thing is that they threw all the trash (ripped up tile and grout, rotten wood, cardboard, trash bags) in our front yard! Our trash collection is in the back and when I told them this they said it will still get picked up. But Waste Management said they wont pick it up unless it is in a container. So this huge eyesore pile of trash has been in our front yard for 2 weeks, and when we called them to see if they would move it they said it would cost us. If they would have asked where our trash was before dumping it all on our front yard then this wouldn't be an issue. But now we have to pay someone else to come haul it away. Kind of a pain. But overall, they did an incredible job and we will use them again in the future for projects.

When I phoned to have a headboard built, I was given a date for an estimate (9/28) and a tentative date for service (10/12). When he arrived on the 28th, he said I was not on his books for the twelfth, that he was still running 2-3 weeks out, but that he would pick up the work and do it at his shop by the 17th. When he didn't pick up, we assumed he realized he couldn't squeeze our work in. When he didn't call to reschedule us, I guessed that we had fallen through a crack and contacted him via this site. No reply. My final attempt to reach him was 10/29/2015, one full month after the in-person quote. Still no reply.

Get-ER-Done did an excellent job. They were on time for both the estimate and the actual job. The job was done neatly, quickly and professionally. We will definitely use them again in the future.

The vendor showed up right on time, made the repairs, and stuck to his estimate. He left no mess, and was very pleasant to deal with. Most importantly, he made the repairs completely to my liking and expectations.

Eddy is the most honest and punctual handyman I have ever dealt with. He is always on time or calls if he will be a few minutes late. Plus he is very easy to communicate with. I have used Eddy on several different types of jobs, and I plan to use him on several more. He does good work, and his estimates are accurate. He also did some work for my friend's mother up the street. Did a great job on some difficult projects.

This wasn't the first time I've used Get-ER-Done...they did some repair and maintenance work on my own home. Then, Eddy Higgins was very professional, showed up when he said would, quoted--and charged--a very reasonable price, and did excellent work...and he also did the same this time.. Can't ask for more than that! I now have him on speed dial and I've already asked him to put another job at my own home on his schedule this fall. Bottom line...there are a lot people out there who call themselves "handy men," but barely know which end of a hammer to hold or do "spit and bailing" wire work for a ridiculous price. Eddy Higgins and crew are not only excellent handymen, they're true craftsmen who take pride in doing a good job for a fair price. I recommend them VERY highly!

Beautiful work! Eddy Higgins, owner, enlarged closet entrance from one-bi-fold opening to two bi-fold opening. Moved existing clothes rack and shelf down for more convenience, Painted inside closet and woodwork.

I was very pleased with Eddy. He listened, remembered and acted on all my complaints. He is coming back when his work load permits. Highly recommend him.

The actual repair went fine, but the provider is not very well organized. I had to clarify three times when he was to come out with the person setting appointments. They had it wrong twice. Also, when the services were complete, he didn't know how much he had originally quoted us for the repairs and appeared to make up a number on the spot after asking my wife how much he quoted. Needs to be better organized if he is running a business.

Everything went well. Mr. Higgins was punctual and professional. He layed the tiles quickly and accurately. Him and his partner kept the jobsite clean and mess free. I've hired him before and would hire him again.

Eddie's price was reasonable and the work completed quickly. The paint WE bought didn't match well with existing ceiling. He went to the paint store for different paint and painted the whole ceiling to make sure it looked good. We are pleased with the completed project. Thank you.

He was very knowledgeable. Put in new dry wall in the place of leaked area. fixed the bathroom floor leak. Kept the area clean.

All went well. Arrived ahead of schedule. Finished up sooner than estimated. Threw in some extra services, e.g. Caulking around door and new thresholds. very pleasant experience.

Friendly on the phone, but does not follow through.

Mr. Higgins is very professional. He and his co-worker arrived on time for both days of work. I would highly recommend his services to any of my family or friends. We had just bought our new home and hired Mr. Higgings to lay the laminate flooring. He installed the flooring with no problems and it's free of any defects. He and his co-worker worked together to complete the job fast and make sure not to scratch the flooring and cleaned up their mess once the job was completed. We were so pleased with this job, we hired Mr. Higgins to lay our bathroom and kitchen tiles.

Job went extremely well from the first phone call. He showed on time to review the location and what would be required.On the day of installation he showed up on time and noticed that no power was gong into the exhaust unit. Instead of shipping the item back to the manufacturer he identified the problem and corrected it. Since this was an outdoor installation he needed to run power to the unit, unfortunately he needed to work in an extremely hot attic to accomplish this. He did a great job of installing the unit. He is very professional and has multiple skills to get the job done. I would certainly use Eddy again and recommend him to anyone.

Mr. Higgins and his co-worker were professional and efficient.

It went really well. Mr. Higgins came a little after 9 am because of having to pick my door up, which i greatly appreciated because I do not own a pickup truck. He knew exactly what to do and had the old door removed and new one installed before noon. He even gave me suggestions on some other things I need repaired around my home.

The owner called the same day we called for an estimate. The estimate was provided the next day, and the replacement of our dryer pipe was completed within a few days. He did an excellent job (he had to work in the crawlspace under our house),was finished in one day. He also removed and disposed of the old pipe. He was very friendly.

Also, extended the tunnel part of the doggy door to fit a 2 x 6 wall. The doggy door was initially 3 inches to short to fit through the 2 x 6 wall frame. Corrected problem with tunnel very professionally. Cleaned up leftover constructions pieces and vacuumed interior as well around area serviced. Very polite and will contact again for future service. Fast and courteous, same day service.
