Whatley Plumbing

This plumbing service (Roger Whatley, owner) was hired to complete the plumbing on our new construction home after the first plumber who initially began the job stopped returning calls for weeks at a time. Whatley Plumbing finally came out over a week after they said they would, did 80% of the job, ran up double the estimated cost for supplies at the local plumbing supply company ON OUR BUSINESS ACCOUNT, and then stopped returning phone calls. They took the 20% of OUR fixtures we still needed to finish our home with them and never completed the job. These were expensive shower/tub sets that were only half installed. We had to go out and buy new sets for our entire house (4 bathrooms) because several pieces were missing. We repeatedly called them to come back, as they left the job unfinished a week before our move in date. They made excuse after excuse when they did talk to us (actually texting, not talking). At two days before move-in, we frantically hired another plumber who came out and charged us another $1,400 to finish the job and replace the missing components. That very day, after the other plumbers finished our house, Mr. Whatley came out and dropped off the remaining parts when we were not at the construction site. None were returnable, as all were missing pieces. It was a nightmare. After the experience, we found out through other plumbers, as well as the plumbing supply store, that our case was not unusual. This is normal business for Mr. Whatley. Due to his irresponsibility, we had to delay our move four days. Worst experience EVER with a subcontractor on our home. Building a home is stressful enough without this happening. BEWARE.
