Originally specializing in all types of window treatments (except shutters), I have developed expertise covering a wide variety of things you need done around the house and can't find anyone to do. I have researched, experimented, and developed reliable techniques for securing heavy objects on the wall--especially framed mirrors 80 to 150 pounds. I take on strange and unique projects and help create custom solutions for perplexing problems. I have restored antiques and keepsakes that soaked in hurricane Katrina's toxic sludge in New Orleans. I have repaired badly broken Boehm porcelain figurines. I built stairs and a bridge over ductwork in an attic after HVAC installers completely blocked access to a family's storage. I work patiently with homeowners who need a little extra understanding and explanation. For design professionals, I will help you complete the realization of your artistic vision. I can provide advance problem solving and measuring. My work has been part of articles in issues of Coastal Living and Birmingham Home and Garden magazines. I was a volunteer with ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Montgomery, AL. I also work in commercial settings with large-quantity jobs or where high quality work is demanded. From plain to frilly, period to modern, from easy to nearly impossible, I thoughtfully tackle every challenge as though I am doing the work in my own home. Services we offer

Installation, assembly, service, repair, and consultation for most residential decor and functional items including draperies, blinds, other window treatments, pictures, framed mirrors, etc. Assembly of most products you bring home in a box, notably IKEA furniture and such items. Limited handyman services, normally involving small projects that "come up" while I am already at your site.

Services we don't offer

I do not provide general carpentry and building services. I do not provide services that require a plumbing or electrical license or certification. I will not take on a task for you unless I am certain I am able complete it at a high professional level.

Description of Work: Eddie hung shelves and different types of wall art for me. A couple of the shelves were heavy and he made sure they were very secure and could handle the weight I would be putting on them. He was detailed, made sure everything was centered and level and was very professional. I highly recommend his services.

Mr. Dobelstein is terrific to work with: he is very organized, friendly and professional and did a wonderful job hanging the blinds and putting together a metal media table. Since I had measured 13 windows myself in our 80-year old house, he had to work around a couple of my novice-type errors in measuring to get the blinds hung correctly. But he did that with no problems, complaints or additional expense. Next time, I'll ask him to measure the windows before ordering.

He was very efficient. He explained everything to me. He priced everything out including materials. I called them on a Thursday and it was done on Saturday, everything tuned out great.

The price is fair and the work was completed correctly and in a timely fashion. There was no clean up for me, which is a huge plus!
Description of Work: I have used this service on more than one occasion and absolutely will call them again. "Eddie" will install windows treatments (in our case, blinds), wire shelving, and hang anything heavy.

Eddie was sent out to install draperies in my bedroom by my interior decorator. He was very meticulous and did a fantastic job. He is a perfectionist and took a while to complete the job. Overall, the experience was great!
