Move went without a hitch ~ Jim and company did a great job for the best price out there! Since we needed baby grand moved out through garage into alley behind home, it was great that Jim had a smaller truck with a lift instead of a full sized moving van (which would have to park in front of home with 16 stairs to traverse!) Fee was a lump sum which beats hourly rates that can turn into more expense. I truly appreciated Jim’s friendly conversation and recommend him highly :)
Description of Work: Had baby grand piano moved from one house to another.

Description of Work: We purchased a piano from them, they delivered it. It was a good experience. If we need to upgrade the piano in the future we will go back to them.

I called and needed the piano moved within the week. Jim scheduled for Thursday at 3:30. Thursday at 3:00 he called to confirm our appointment and to say he was on the way. He and his son showed up exactly on time. They carefully took the piano apart, wrapped it in blankets and loaded on the truck. They then followed me to my house a few miles away and set the piano back up. They both were courteous and professional. The entire move took less than two hours. He played the piano and suggested a tune. He also moved it once it was in place and I decided it would look better turned around. He shared with me what the value was and a quick history of piano sales. I highly recommend these nice and efficient men.

I moved to Alabama from Louisiana six months ago. My husband and I had no problems moving our household goods with the exception of my piano. I possess a fifty year old, seven foot conservatory grand piano with real ivory keys and satin finish. I initially tried to contact movers on Angie's List for estimates, but NONE of them emailed me back. Doing google searches only left me with trepidation because of many horror stories of damaged pianos and either poor or no repair offered for them. Furthermore prices started at two thousand and up. In doing a search on craigslist for furniture, I ran across Jim's ad. I called him just to and quot;feel him outand quot; and I was left feeling good after our conversation. I could tell that this was a longer drive than he usually made, but he was willing to work with me. I called him back a few months later and set up the move. We met for the first time in Louisiana and he and Bryan did an excellent job with my piano. He brought professional wraps, straps, skid board, and pads to protect my piano. After a brief prayer we started the disassembly process and in less than two hours the piano was loaded and secured for the move. He drove the piano directly to the Alabama house and reassembled it the same day! Not a scratch or a dent. I can't thank him enough for taking care of my piano as if it were his own. God bless you, Jim.
