Perfect Service Heating & Air

I am a residential landlord with multiple homes in the Birmingham area. As a good steward of my business, I always request a few quotes before performing major service repairs or replacement. I requested quotes for a new HVAC system through Angie's List. Landon was prompt and responded quickly. However, he was arrogant and dismissive. He told me his company prefers to deal with owner-occupants and went on to say the customers that do business with him want long-term service contracts. Landon did absolutely nothing to qualify my needs (in fact, I have annual maintenance agreements at some of my properties). He simply told me the new 2.5 ton unit would cost between $7,000-$10,000. As this is twice the cost of any of the 3 other quotes I received, I balked at it and wanted to know what was different about his quote. He would not say. Rather than working towards a solution that might meet my needs, I felt like I was being told my business was not important to this company.

Initially quite please with Perfect Service as a company. Their responsiveness was great and their pricing reasonable for furnace replacement. However, they disconnected the wire to the air compressor and the wire to the electrical outlet in the basement which drove 2 separate follow-up service calls and a $250 electrician bill. Their A/C replacement estimate was $3,000 more than Tri-Counties for a unit of equal or lesser value (Goodman vs. the Carrier Tri-Counties offered). Sales calls to service the unit this spring were a bit aggressive.

I purchased a new a/c unit two years ago and they always call to set an appointment for servicing my unit. Their workers are very courteous and clean up behind themselves, They are a really good company. They always call to follow up after the work is complete to insure I am satisfied. I will recommend them and use them, again.

Opted to replace furnace, team of 4 delivered/installed new furnace that night. Heat back on within 4 hours! Courteous, professional team. Unfortunately, team disconnected wire that powered compressor on A/C unit and a tech had to come out several months later and spent over 8 hours getting it hooked back up. Also, team disconnected wire to outlet in basement and electrician troubleshooting/reconnecting bill was $250.

Outstanding! The best group of professional workers that I have been associated with. There are many laudatory comments I could describe, suffice to say this is a terrific organization.

This company was great! it was an expensive job, but I needed just about every major component replaced. They were so responsive and quick about doing the diagnostic/estimate work and then the actual repair. The technician did a wonderful and thorough job. I could not have asked for better service. The AC feels wonderful now!

Brian came to perform routine service on our 2 AC units. He discovered both coils were rusted, one system was leaking oil & significant water loss pouring on to floor and mold! He gave a suggestion of replacing both units after explaining all of our serious problems in detail, along with detailed financial concerns both ways. If we simply tried, yet again to fix the units - vs - replacing them. We opted to replace both units. Everyone was both professional, courteous & show strong work ethic!

Included me on walk thru, was informed on all things performed. Was not left in the dark. Very great sales person, was great, ensured that I understood what was going on. Great job.
