Landon from Perfect Service contacted me by phone about concerns expressed in my recent review. After discussing with him I do feel that Perfect Service wants to make sure their customers are satisfied with the services their company provides. He said that my payment would be refunded and check was received today. I appreciate their efforts in addressing my concerns.

After my earlier poor review of their visit a couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by Landon, the customer satisfaction representative. He was very polite and respectful, and inquired about my specific concerns. He agreed that the technicians who installed the system in December 2014 should have addressed the air return filter situation at that time and also that the filters I'd been using would not have caused the mold problem as I'd been told. As compensation, he offered to install free of charge a "permanent" filter of the correct size as well as a UV light at the head of the duct work in the attic. He also explained to me that the relatively high cost of installing the HVAC unit a year ago included the long and comprehensive warranty. I was not pressured in any way to rescind my negative review. I was told that the technician would arrive between the hours of 9 and 12, and even received an email with a photo of the installer so that I would recognize him and feel safe letting him into my home. This is a nice touch. It was somewhat annoying that he arrived at 12:30, since I'd postponed errands and other tasks so that I could be fully available if needed. Nevertheless, when he arrived, the technician was polite, thorough, and very helpful. Landon contacted me again this morning to make sure that everything had been completed to my satisfaction. He explained that the technician was late yesterday because he'd wanted to ensure that he sent the best possible installer. I'm now very happy with Perfect Service.

Be sure and shop around when looking at repair/replacement of your ac unit.

Everything went well. All questions were answered. Very professional and knowledgeable. We were very satisfied with the work.

They did the job, but I think they charged too much. I called them to say that I smelled something burning after they had installed it. They did come out. They couldn't smell anything and all that. Am I happy with it?Well, they installed it and it is a good air conditioner and furnace. It works and they came out. But I was disappointed because it ended up costing me more than it should.

He cleans and checks our units both indoors and outdoors. He also cleans the filters. We really liked Brad.

They were very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. It was a lot of money to spend, so before committing to the work we asked lots of questions and spoke to a friend who used to do HVAC work. Our old system was removed and a new one was installed by the end of the day.They worked until close to 11pm to make sure we had a working system that night. So far, we have been very pleased with the work done.

I felt great about using this company after reading reviews here on Angie's List, but I should have checked out the BBB and the reviews a few pages of reviews here on Angie's List (AL) before booking this company to come diagnose the problems with my central unit. Technician Joey was very punctual, courteous, and overall a super nice guy. Within 10 minutes of being on property, he had already diagnosed my issue. My condenser unit had a faulty coil that was leaking and needed to be replaced causing the unit to leak Freon. The pistons in the compressor were also shot, so it would need to be replaced as well. If you go back and read reviews from other AL members, you'll begin to see a common theme. Joey said it would be ~$4000 ($1800 condenser coil and $2000 compressor) to replace these pieces and parts, if he could even get them (his words, not mine), but he suggested replacing the whole unit because Obama has just signed a new law that will outlaw the type of Freon my system uses and make it hard to find parts for my system beginning in June of 2015 (scare tactics). To directly quote what Joey wrote on the service order: "Found that the compressor was locked out. Also, coil on condenser is leaking. Showed customers. They have home warranty. Giving quote upon request upon departure." To replace my unit, Joey quoted me $7321 for a straight AC system, and $8172 for a dual fuel system (which he recommended). I should add, when I told Joey I had a home warranty, he began telling me about the shoddy work the home warranty companies do, and how they would just bandaid the unit without ever fixing it and I would ultimately pay more for their service because of the service calls they would have to make to keep fixing issues (more scare tactics). After Joey left, I called my home warranty company and they scheduled a company to come out and give a second opinion. Xpress Heating and Air Conditioning arrived the next day. After showing owner, Greg, my upstairs and outside system, he went to work. After about 5 minutes outside at the condenser, he determined the unit was not receiving 24v from the blower system in the house and that's why the condenser unit was not kicking on. He then started at the thermostat and began working his way back to find the problem. Ultimately, the problem was a wire that had come lose from the overflow pan sensor causing the circuit to break (hence no voltage at the condenser). Greg walked me through everything he was doing and even showed me a few things to watch out for from a routine maintenance standpoint. He reconnected the wire, and voila, condenser unit kicks on and we have cold air. Greg also stated that my system was NOT leaking Freon from the condenser coil (as I was told) and the compressor showed NO signs that it needed to be replaced (as I was told). To summarize, I paid $50 for Perfect Service to come out and give me imperfect service and a sales pitch to go with it. They did not troubleshoot the issue and instead, made up lies and tried to sell me a $7000 system that I did not need. This company may do a great job installing brand new units (hint: call around for pricing;, everyone I talked to couldn't believe they were charging $7300 for a new straight AC unit), but I would not recommend using them to diagnose a current heating/AC system issue. I personally will not be using them for anything in the future due to their dishonest practices. -------Update------- Landon contacted me about someone else coming out to check the unit, free of charge. A second technician came out and went over the unit and could not find any leaks or major areas of concern. I had already received a refund through Angie's List, but Landon went ahead and gave me another refund for my time and trouble. This essentially allowed me to have the issue fixed with no out of pocket costs for myself. I have changed my overall rating of the company from an F to a D.

Contacted perfect service to fix a air quality problem, getting dust in the house from the HVAC unit. They sent a service man out to find the problem.(I saw a red flag we he said his skill was in carpentry) All he could come up with is to install this ozone light and replace the air return flex tube.whcih did not help. Contacted then again same tech came out and offered to to clean the duct wwork for another $1500, Which was already done before, as was explained to him the first time. I did my own investigation on the system and found that service man did not zip tie off the flex tube at the bottom, where it connects to air return box at the furnace, he also managed to get the owners manual for the furnace stuck up under the flex tube leaving a gap, I found several places at the top of the tube that were not sealed off to pervent outside air from entering into the house. In addition I found places in the duct work that needed to be sealed up, which I FIXED!!!!!!!!! I am dissapointed in the quality of service from them, it seems all they can do sale you products that my or may not be worth it, and lacking the skills needed for the techincal side of venting of air. I would like them to come back take out the so called ozone light fix the hole it will leave and refund my money for the light.. ----Update--- After speaking with the owner, I am satisfied with the resolution of the issue.

When they first came out six months ago, they did a basic clean and inspection. They told my father at that time there was rust on the unit, and that it was possible that he’d need a new one soon. The unit was only 9 years old. This is a 4 ton Goodman unit- which usually runs 18-20 years. They came out again to service the unit six months later. I was there during this time and saw that he had the hood raised up and a camera pointing to the evaporator coils. The technician was stating to my father that the unit needed to be replaced. He said that the wiring was not to code- the evaporation coil was 100% restricted causing the unit to overheat and flood the compressor. He also tried to tell me that CARBON MONOXIDE WAS COMING INTO THE HOUSE AND IT WAS GOING TO KILL US. I asked him to put the unit back together and I told him that the unit was working fine, and that the coils just needed to be cleaned. I have been doing this for over 18 years and I know what needed to be fixed on the unit. He told me that he couldn’t do that and the he had to red tag the unit. HE NEVER EVEN TESTED THE UNIT WITH A CARBON MONOXIDE TESTER. I feel like this was a typical scam that they were trying to pull on my father. The technician was driving a Heil truck. I really feel that they were trying to take my father for 7K on a new unit when all that needed done was regular service and cleaning. I had another company come out and look at the unit and confirmed that only the coils needed to be cleaned. I want to help other elderly people from being scammed. I believe that perfect service was working as a sub-contractor under Heil.

They do good and the unit works fine. I have been using their service for about 3 years. They are on time and do good work and their pricing is fair.

I have used this company for about 4 years. I like the workers. They are friendly and informative. They are respectful and courteous, however they have had to cancel and reschedule appointments on many occasions, which I have gotten upset about.

They have been great! It’s been cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

They turned out alright. I have been using their services for about 4 years. They were on time. Also, while they did the work, they let you know what they were doing.

They did great! Everything went just fine. They were prompt. I had a concern after it was installed but they came right out!

Perfect Service came to perform work on my HVAC system. At the first visit they sold me a yearly maintenance plan. The first time they came out, my HVAC was not blowing cold air. They replaced a part in my outside unit. The service seemed adequate and they were on time. The second time they came out for a warranty repair because the outside unit was frozen up. The technician said he didn't see anything wrong and left without performing any work. The third time they came out was to "clean" the system. This service work was about one week after the last technician was at the site. The technician (Joey) told me my interior coil was leaking and that I needed a new outside unit. Neither of the other technicians told me I had any serious problems with the HVAC unit. The technician also told me that my system (an old R-22 system) could not be serviced after December 2014. He made a big deal about how the "EPA" had issued new rules to "prohibit the sale of R-22 freon after December 2014". After some basic research I found out this was not true. The technician was simply trying to do a sales job on me. I ultimately got the system replaced because it was old, but there was no way I was going to use a company who's technicians lied to me to replace it. I went with another company to do the work (who, by the way, cost me less than 50% of what Perfect Service quoted) to replace the system with a Lennox system. Perfect Service may or may not do good work, I just won't do business with any business that blatantly lies to me to push me to buy products.

See the complaints against this fraudulent company on Better Business Bureau. They need to be investigated by the State Attorney General. Andy from Perfect came out. After his inspection, he said my 13 year old, 10 SEER, 3 and a half ton, Rheem AC unit was kaput and needed total replacement costing $6,000-$8,000. I have had the unit serviced every year since new, including just a couple months ago. He said the compressor sounded bad, the evaporator coil leaked, and it needed freon. He left without fixing the unit. My family spent the hot summer night without AC. The next day I had Freedom Air come out. They immediately saw the problem and in minutes had cool air in my house. They just replaced a faulty condenser fan motor capacitor for $99. The unit now runs as good as new. Avoid this company. They are a fraud.

Everything went great! Definitely would use again in the future.

All personnel were very courteous and prompt. They were very good at removing the old system and keeping everything clean. They wore booties when inside the finished part of the house. Their equipment and ductwork is good. They worked around our schedule so that we could be there. We have only had one minor call back which they responded to on a Saturday within a hour. I would recommend them and use them again.

He was on time and did a very good job.

I have had this company service our system for over 5 years. They have always been polite, respectful, and prompt. Always using paper "booties" to cover their shoes when they come inside. No one ( in my circle of friends ) wants to pay 8,500 three days before Christmas to replace an a/c unit!! However, it couldn't be helped....the whole job was completed in less than 3 days. Along with great customer service is the unconditional 12 year warranty. That's two years more than any of their competitors.

I bought a $29 HVAC inspection from Perfect Service Heating & Air. Setting the appointment was easy, and I was told the technician would be arriving at my house between 11-1. When no one showed up by 1:00, I had to call and ask where the service person was and when he would arrive. He was about 15 minutes late past the 11-1 arrival window. The experience only goes downhill from there. The person who came to my house said he was a supervisor, and all first time customers are assigned supervisors. My upstairs unit had just cut off a few days before, so he went upstairs to check. Right away he began talking about how this looked really bad (just from looking at the temperature air setting mount on the wall), which didn't make sense considering he hadn't actually gone in the attic or looked outside. The unit is only 7 years old. When he did go to the attic, he saw the drain pan was full, but that can happen when the drain line out is clogged. Once that happens, the unit automatically turns off. After 10 minutes of him looking at things in the attic and then going outside, he proceeded to tell me that the a/c wasn't installed properly, there is no drain for the water to go outside, the lines were either leaking or frozen and that I need a new unit because so much damage would occur if this continued to run it it's current state. He said it wouldn't do any good to inspect and clean the unit ($29 coupon I bought) and to call him to set up a day for him to come and replace the whole thing. After that, he left without having done any work. So, I got a second opinion the same day from a contractor who does large cooling and heating projects on businesses. Lucky for me I did because the second guy cleared out the drain pan, unclogged the drain and added Freon within 30 minutes. He said the drain line was stopped up and a valve was loose and leaking Freon. Additionally, he said the valve appeared to have been loosened intentionally because the unit is only a few years old and working fine. My a/c is working fine now! I definitely did not have a good experience with Perfect Service. It seems like the "supervisor" was either trying to take advantage of me or had no clue how an a/c works. Stay away from these guys!

Fan motor (unbeknownst at the time) went out and I left an email on the provider's website to contact me. Being Memorial Day weekend, and Sunday to boot, I wasn't expecting a reply until Tuesday at the earliest. Landon, contacted me and asked for my address and number and would send someone over. Danny, the tech, came out and inspected the unit. After a thorough inspection he concluded that the fan motor was bad and would have to order one. He stated the wait would be about 7-10 business days. I could wait a few days but I didn't want to wait that long. My unit was about 9 years old and was the 10 SEER system. Since the units have been upgraded I decided to go with a completely new system. Danny was on the phone and Andy and Justin came over to install the new units, outside system and the air handling unit (heat pump). They also installed a new thermostat, and left my place spotless. I was surprised, to say the least, that they would come out on a holiday weekend, let alone put a new unit in that day. I was told the new system uses a different Freon and it would be colder than the old system. I set it on 74 last night and had to turn it up this morning as it definitely was colder. The price included a one year tune-up and a 12 year warranty. I didn't feel like comparing prices on a Sunday evening, not sure anyone else would come out on such late notice, so I decided to go ahead with this company.

Our AC went out on the day big storms were due to hit the area. I called Perfect Service at about 4:30, and they agreed to come out right away. They tested the unit and found the motor to be bad. They checked on finding replacement parts for the 19 year old unit, and were willing to order them, however we did not wish to wait for 30 business days without AC. We opted to go with a new unit, which they said they would install that very evening (by now almost 7pm), however the storms were starting in the area, and it was too dangerous. They came the next morning and replaced the unit within a couple of hours. They were respectful and accommodating.
