Price was preliminary price twice what others in the area charged for same type of door. Salesman seemed condescending, appeared I did not have the type of upscale house he was used to visiting. Never got back with me regarding final quote.

1st don't believe everything your salesman says, 2nd make sure EVERYTHING small and large is actually in your contract and make your salesman show you ACTUALLY some of the work you are expecting of them, NOT just similar jobs, please trust me, don't allow them any room for the words IT'S NOT IN YOUR CONTRACT. You have to also watch them as they will try to use some materials even on the exterior that by no means meant for the outside, they did us. Our salesman also convinced us to downsize what we started out wanting by about 40% so that way it was in our budget, yes we had a 16 X 16 deck and vaulted roof line placed on and the huge selling point was maintenance free...by use of the Fiberon deck boards and all aluminum ceiling but with treated wood frame and post and the cost was $29360.00 They had to cut into of course our roof line outside and when they did this it was like on a Thursday and that night and into Friday it rained and NO they did not have the opening into our house covered or protected and YES that was a week of at least 50% rain chance every day. The rain came down behind our brick into the house the entire span of the cut span which was 16 foot, it wasn't pretty. SO WATCH THEM. Yes we feel like the crazy ones, we did it and paid it but they had to make 3 visits out due to their caulking continued to crack and finally they placed a Aluminum strip there, which is what they should have done 1st.

The salesman was prompt and everything sounded great except for the price. I was looking to have a deck and french door installed but the price was over $10,000 more than other quotes I have received from high quality suppliers.

It took forever to get this project started! Here is my timeline: Jan. 8th - Had a Durante representative come to my house and give me an estimate Jan. 28th - Same guy came back to my house to get me to sign papers and receive deposit (Couldn't this have been done electronically?) Feb. 12th - a Durante project manager came by to "look" at the project. (Although the first guy took extensive notes and pictures) March 25th - Workers came to my house and started working on the project (TWO months after I put down a deposit and signed papers! This long timeline expectation was never set with me or my husband.) March 30th - Had to get a new crew assigned to my project for unknown reasons Once the new crew started, it didn't take long to complete the project and we were pleased with the quality overall. I just feel that we should have been told that it would take a few months to get a crew to our house to start the project.

I and Durante signed an agreement ("Contract") on January 25, 2016, for Durante to manufacture and install three operative doors and associated windows and sunrise transom at my home for a combined total cost in excess of $16,000. I selected Durante after reviewing materials on Angie’s List, as well as reviewing Durante’s website and marketing materials. The Contract, by its own terms, provides that installation will commence “approximately 10 weeks from” January 25, 2016. The Contract also provides that Durante shall not be responsible for time and materials delays beyond its control. As of today's date, seventeen weeks after the Contract date and seven weeks after the promised installation commencement date, Durante has yet to perform. On or about April 14, 2016 (approximately two weeks after the promised installation date), a Durante representative phoned me informing me that the applicable doors and windows were ready except for a delay in the sunrise transom resulting from Durante’s initially taking incorrect measurements and/or forms. On April 20, 2016, Durante returned to my property to take revised measurements and forms. The events of April 14 through 20 demonstrate that any materials delays are solely the fault of Durante. In an email dated May 9 which followed my written demand for an update, Durante cavalierly dismissed its failure to perform stating that the underlying manufacture is taking “a bit longer than we expected,” attempted to shift blame on the manufacturer, and further stating Durante would install the doors and windows when received. With the exception of signing the Contract, the initial measurement visit, the phone call and visit related to the second measurement, and the email of May 9, there has been absolutely no communication from Durante to me – no status report, no follow-up, no account management – nothing. Durante also permanently damaged the existing window transom wood trim in taking measurements and/or forms, cutting said trim into pieces, breaking the applicable pieces in the process, and nailing said pieces back to the wall in a “Frankenstein”-like fashion. In the meantime, I literally have plastic and tape over some of the areas to be replaced, and other aspects of the renovation are on hold.

I called to ask for appointment for estimate for enclosing porch and installing siding. The guy said he would call back with a time for an appointment and never called back. I even emailed them and asked why they didn't call back and no response. Very unprofessional no matter their reason for not responding whatever it was.

They did a great job. They were quick and efficient. They knew what they were doing from start to finish and we are very happy with them. We would use this company again and intend to.

The representative that came out was very professional and knowledgeable. If they were not sooo ridiculously expensive I may have gone with their service. My estimate was for replacing a deck.

I think Durante is by far the most quality outfit you can go with when it comes to replacing your windows. They are professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I personally decided to hold off on replacing my windows, but In the future I will definitely use them. I will say, and they will tell you this, that they will not be the lowest price you get. Other companies make their money by selling in bulk, Durante focuses on quality, and therefor do not do as many so their prices are higher.

From start to finish, Durante service was outstanding. They tested for lead paint (old house), found it, and took care of disposing of everything (for an additional charge). I was thoroughly impressed with how efficient and speedy their work was, and they showed up exactly when they said they'd be done, and didn't waste any time finishing the job. Workmanship was excellent, they cleaned up every day of the job (3 days), and their whole crew was very conscious of keeping the house clean, despite how much tearout was required. The original salesman also followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the windows. The windows themselves were a premium grade choice, more expensive than their standard by a small amount. After two years of ownership now, I'm impressed with how tight and sealed they are. No pane failures, and they are all so very easy to open top or bottom. Low-E glass is also excellent. The exterior trim was covered with aluminum, and they did an excellent job fitting each piece in place, and ensuring the flashing was properly installed. They also foam-filled the sash weight cavities to prevent air leakage. Overall, I will be using them again.

In December, 2015 I started getting quotes from different companies to replace 18 windows in my house. Durante?s price came in at little over $15000 which was about $4000 more than Window World and about $3000 more than Pella window for the same comparable windows. 3 weeks later I called Durante sales rep. (Chris) and I mentioned that I wanted to use the coupon that they advertise in ?The Home Mag? for 33% off and to my surprise he said the price he gave me includes 40% off. I found that hard to believe and very dishonest. That mean the price was over $25000 and since he likes me so much he automatically gave me $10000 (40%) off without informing me. Wow! This is false advertising and this practice is harmful to consumers who will fall for it.

We wisely Canceled the transaction within the "three business days" they provide. If we were spending approximately $58000.00 you should get what they lead you to believe you were getting .

They did a nice job and were very flexible with their work schedule when I had to change dates. I can't remember exact date that they did the work.

The salesman was prompt, and arrived on time for the appointment I had arranged. He had actual examples of their windows, in addition to various brochures. The foreman came out ahead of time to check for lead-based paint in the window frames. He was also prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, their system detected lead-based paint in the outer frames, which increased the cost of the old window removal. However, I was glad to know they abide by proper regulations for such things. The window installation was supposed to take 2 days - a Friday & Saturday. Friday they stopped work a little early because of rain, and were to return Saturday. They called Saturday to cancel due to rain that never showed up. I overheard one of the 2 installers say he really wanted to attend one of his child's sportsgames on Saturday, so I wasn't surprised they rescheduled. I ended up having to take an additional day off from work since the second work day ended up being a weekday instead of a Saturday as originally planned. I mentioned this to the foreman, who took the cost of my vacation day off of the price of installation. Because I have some oddly sized windows, as my house was built in 1962, they replaced 3 large windows with 6 smaller windows. The lead-paint removal tally had included 6 windows instead of 3, and he adjusted that price as well. Additionally, there was one place where the sheetrock was cut through from the outside, and he patched the wall for me. The 2 guys who installed did a pretty decent cleanup job. I only found a couple pieces of metal framing on the ground. They were also kind enough to save the old screens from my original windows because I had a gardening project I wanted to use them for. Most importantly, I felt like the cost was worth it because the windows: #1, have a lifetime (for the house) warranty; #2, are AWESOME for cutting down on noise from outside; #3, are fabulous at keeping the outside temperatures from coming inside; #4, are easy to open/close/clean. Durante was a great company to work with, and I will definitely recommend and/or use them again!

The installation crew arrived on schedule and determined that the measurements for two of the windows were incorrect so they had to be reordered.The remaining windows were installed in one day with the exception of the exterior trim which was completed the following day. At my request the door was not installed until the final two windows were received since it require someone to be at home. Receipt of the reordered windows took longer than I expected. My biggest problem with Durante was that I never received any estimate as to when the windows would delivered and installed. The windows are excellent - high-end quality double-paned vinyl windows. They replaced the 50+ year-old single-paned windows and I can distinctly tell a difference in comfort on cold nights. I am also pleased with the new front door. The installation was also excellent. The crew left both the interior and exterior work areas clean and neat.

Job from beginning to end was very professional, installation team was extreemely courtious and true craftman of their trade. Job took sightly longer tan expected but all work was completed professionlly with above expection results. Would highly recommend.

They were expensive but they did a good job. We decided to go because of the quality of the windows.

Site inspection/sales pitch 90 + minutes). Convinced me they would do a good job with good windows but did not leave written quote. I called the next day and was told they would not do just 2 window replacements. Wasted my time.

I've finally found a company that lives up to everything they said they would do and them some. They did an excellent job and I have not one complaint. They even cleaned each window inside and out after they installed them. Excellent workmanship and everything was back in place when they left. I couldn't ask for a better job or company to work with. Their attention to detail is unlike any company I've ever worked with.

The project went well from the sales through the final completion. The salesman presented several attractive options and ideas that we could choose from. He was able to answer all questions concerning the materials, warranties, and financing. The Project Manager then called promptly and scheduled a site visit for further discussion, measurements, and clarifications. The materials arrived on site per the schedule. The installation crew was a contracted crew; however, they were very friendly and professional. Their technical skills were obvious. They completed the deck ahead of schedule. We had also requested that they build a "box" around the eyesore that was the incoming utilities, i.e., electric power, telephone, and cable. They used their imagination and skill to build a very attractive and useful case around the incoming utilities that far exceeded our expectations while staying within budget. The only wrinkle in the project occurred when the contractor team left thinking that the project was done. When I saw their finished project, I contacted the Project Manager to say that I did not consider it completed because there was exposed "raw" wood. I felt that they should the composite material tocover exposed wood on the sides of the benches (only about two inches) and on the exposed side of the deck (again about two inches). For the supports of the benches, I felt that they should have painted those and not have expected us to paint those. When I explained this this to the Project Manager, he said that he understood; he personally came to our house the next day (Saturday) and completed the remainder of the project to our total satisfaction. This was obviously a misunderstanding internally, and he assured me that this would be addressed with his management. Overall, I am totally satisfied with Durante, and I would highly recommend them for the quality of their workmanship and especially for their dedication to customer satisfaction. Finally, I would also add that I did not even feel the need to get a second estimate when I received their initial price. It was less than I expected, and I felt that it was very fair. The value that I received was outstanding, and the beauty and durability of our deck has been noted by our neighbors and friends.

A bit pricy but did a professional job quickly and neatly

From start to finish, service was superlative. I really appreciate the prompt response to any questions, or problems.

Took a very long time between initial payment for them to get started. Something like paid in May and started in September Crews were subcontracted out. People were nice enough and the workmanship was ok but there are still a couple of unresolved issues where fasteners from the outside penetrated interior walls that they have made little effort to remedy. To tell the truth I have not contacted them about this but did show them at the final walk through. For the price paid I should have shopped a bit. As to the question of whether I would use them in the future they were pricier than the market did ok work but the process was dragged out. Maybe I would use again maybe not.

Two installers (I don’t recall their names) were efficient in doing what I consider a quality, clean installation. They were always willing to answer all our questions. The installation was more than one day. They were here when they promised.
