I took three bids from different companies, including Champion. Durante was not the highest ($6,000), nor the lowest bid ($3,600). The in-home presentation of Durante's products was clear, polite, and demonstrated several advantages in the manufacture of "Sunrise" windows, in particular the more narrow profile compared to other vinyl windows. I was given a six to eight week time frame for the follow-up measuring, and then the installation. The measurer came in about three weeks, and the installers came right at six and a half weeks. The installers worked very efficiently, replacing one window at a time during cold weather. The installation was straight forward and of high quality workmanship. The installers did a good job of taking care of the interior of the house, as well as cleaning up in the yard outside when they finished. The windows look great and give a brand new feel to our old sun room. Overall I would give Durnate and their crew an A+ for their work from start to finish. I would recommend them to others, and I will use them again myself.

The company representative spent a lot of time helping me choose the style, color, and price that worked for me. The windows were installed by a crew of three men. Those gentlemen were excellent in their manner as well as their workmanship. Not only were they very meticulous with their work, but with the clean-up as well. I could not be more pleased.

The project began in mid-August when Michael Hays, Sales Manager visited our home at our request. He provided a very informative presentation on vinyl replacement windows. He noted our specific requirements and concerns, and answered our questions. After inspecting the condition of our windows and measuring them, he provided cost estimates for both Sunrise and Vanguard replacement windows, the brands offered by Durante and which he felt most appropriate for our requirements. On August 22, we visited the Durante showroom and finalized the contract. Michael said it would take 4-6 weeks after final window measurement for the widows to be produced and available for installation. On August 27, Jerry Minor, Window Manager made a detailed windows inspection and measurement. He also answered any questions we had about the replacement procedure and provided us with the name of the installation crew supervisor, Doug Weismore. Jerry contacted us on October 8 to schedule the installation on October 12, and said it would take about two days, weather permitting. Installation was delayed one day because of rain. On October 13, the crew of Doug Weismore, Mike, Antonio and Jason began removing, installing, cladding and caulking the 46 windows. They were an experienced team and worked well together. There were periods of light rain, but that did not delay them. They were very careful, especially when any work had to be done inside our home. As is well known, construction can be a messy process, but when they finished the next day, on October 14, they had loaded their trailer with all the old windows, equipment and excess material, vacuumed inside our home anywhere they had worked, and picked up any debris around our home. The project from start-to-finish was excellent. I highly recommend Durante Windows & Siding, especially Doug Weismore's crew.

The company removed 3 old aluminum windows and installed 3 double hung double tilt windows - 2 in the basement apartment and1 in the garage. The windows needed to be custom made which took 3 to 4 weeks. They were delivered in the specified time frame and installed professionally.

It went as well as could be expected. It was a hard job since the windows were very large. One of the guys broke one of the windows while he was installing it on the second floor. It took awhile to get the new window in and then it was the wrong size (he measured it not me). It took awhile to get the next window in but it looks nice and there are no air leaks. They didn't do a great job cleaning up the broken glass on the patio. There was also a communication problem with double hung, it was supposed to have wood grids on the outside but came with white grids on the inside of the glass. They gave us the wood grids without extra charge. The whole thing was exactly what the estimate was.

They stuck to the estimate, and they were a very experienced crew. They did a great job, and the windows are outstanding. They were on time, cleaned up all the mess and glass, and seemed professional. The windows have a lifetime guarantee, and I would highly recommend them.
