[member name removed], Our team looked into your concerns, took your comments to heart, and carefully reviewed your review. We understand your feelings and where you may be coming from, but we can fully assure you that we do work, often, on modular homes. The fact that you live in a modular home is of no concern to us whatsoever. We pulled the recorded phone calls off our servers to investigate the dialogue that we had with you and we feel that we have some valuable information we'd like to share: The windows that Durante Home Exteriors offers are custom-ordered, meaning, that we do not stock or warehouse any windows at any of our locations. Some window retailers do inventory a supply of standard size windows and have those in stock, but with our company the windows are custom-made to fit back precisely into the opening, therefore we do not inventory any windows.. The reason we mentioned this to you on the phone was not to offend you in any way, but to make sure you knew we did not stock anything. We ask ALL customers this question, to make sure that what we have to offer is what they would like. Many times customers need a stock window because they need a faster turn-around. Custom orders take longer, so we always bring this up in our discussion. The other important reason we discussed this concerns the wall-thickness. The exterior walls of Modular Homes often are built out of 2x6 lumber, rather than 2x4 lumber. In either case, our replacement windows will fit this wall thickness just fine, however, Single-Wide modular homes, have a thinner wall thickness, around 2" or so, and our windows will not fit in those. They won't fit because the wall is too thin to receive the windows, and it would cause the windows to stick out of the opening by an additional 1.5-2 inches, which looks really bad, and will be prone to leaking. The other reason we discussed this with you is because we need to know whether you live in a single wide or double wide. Single-wide homes usually don't have any type of eves or overhangs, so the water runs down the side of the home and can leak into the windows. Again, we can assure you that it is of no concern to us what type of home you live in. We install our products on modular homes quite often. We recently completed a window and door installation for a modular home in Clarksville, TV, a siding installation for a modular home, also in Clarksville, TN, and we also did a screen-in porch for a modular home on Smith Lake in Alabama, all in the last several weeks, and the list goes on with many other installation. We hope this information will hopefully clarify the situation a little more. Please accept our apologies on any misunderstanding and we wish you the best with your window replacement project. Description of Work: Durante put siding on gables and soffits of our brick house in 2010. recently a builder inspector thought we didn't have soffit venting. We contacted Durante and within a couple of days someone came and showed us the venting which was almost invisible on edges of soffits. We had contacted them prior to this last year and no one came. Employee told us they no longer employ some folks from that time period.

Description of Work: I scheduled a time for Durante to come to my house to give me an estimate to build a deck and screen room on top of the deck. Two days prior to that scheduled time, I got a phone call from the rep who was to arrive. He said that he was way behind as one of their other reps called in sick and wanted to reschedule to a later time which we did for the following week, same time and day of week. Well, what that time came around, nobody called or showed up. I did a call from Durante which went to my voice mail and it wanted to review the quality of work I received. That was a good joke so I just deleted the voice mail message and went with another service provider.

[Member name removed], We definitely understand your feelings. Thank you for your review. Our team looked into the situation by pulling the recorded phone calls from our servers as well as pulled the appointment logs for that day you had the appointment for. Here is the information that we want to share: Our company is only showing that you had one appointment, not more than one which you indicated, and that appointment was scheduled for March 14 at 6pm. The phone call you received a couple of days prior was actually from one of our office staff, not a sales rep, who was calling you to verify your appointment details. We do not have any record of us having an appointment in which we did not show up. On the day of your appointment, according to our appointment logs, we do show that our sales consultant was running late to your appointment and had called you to let you know he would be late, or that he could reschedule, as he had a 3p appointment in Madison for a screen room which took longer than he expected. We have a time-stamped note on your file where our manager called you to apologize about our rep running late. Your file is dated March 13 that our manager discussed the situation and that you mentioned you understood and you were ok with us needing to reschedule with you. We do not show that we called you to rate the quality of our work. We would only make that call to customers who had purchased from us. We cannot think of any instance where we would call after an estimate to ask to rate our work. It would be too early we feel in the process, since no work would be completed at that point. Our records are showing that you saw our company at the big annual spring home and garden show in Huntsville. We would not say that you have us mixed up with another company, but we would say that whenever we do large home and garden shows, often receive calls from homeowners after the show who invariably have us confused with our competition, because they will sign up for multiple estimates with multiple companies while at the home and garden show, and then invariably they need to call back the companies and move or rescheduled their estimates, etc. For instance a homeowner called us up very recently as a matter of fact, to reschedule their estimate and they called to speak to a person who does not work for our company, after much confusion they realized they were trying to reach Champion Windows, and had us confused with them. Sometimes people go to a home and garden show and then call us to ask about our “189 Windows” which is actually another windows company, not us, who offers those. We would also say that we do not have any record of the first appointment you mentioned nor do we have record of the follow up call. Both of those would be saved on our servers and any phone calls would also be time-stamped on your file. At any rate, we sincerely apologize for the mix up in regards to your appointment. Hi [Member name removed], We are really sorry to hear about you not receiving the price from us. We are mortified to hear you didn't get your price, but I believe there is a mix up. Our records are showing we delivered a price: I went in and pulled your phone call recorded on our server. I also pulled our appointment logs for that day in time and cross-referenced everything. I feel like there is a mix up that occurred. Here is the information that we found that will hopefully shed some light: We are showing that we came to your home on April 29, 2013 at 6pm in the evening and did in fact deliver a price to you in the amount of $3,789 for the estimate on installing the windows in your home. The original appointment with you was set for April 26 and we needed to move the appointment to April 29 because our sales consultant who was on the schedule to meet with you had to go to the hospital with kidney stones. So we rescheduled to 4/29. The sales consultant who met with you on April 29th met with you about the windows, and we have record of him calling the home office while at your home in regards to obtaining pricing to cut a hole in the brick exterior of your home so we could install the window. We also have record of you needing us to install a door in the laundry room leading out to the patio area. According to our records we also called your residence numerous times (approximately 3 attempts) leaving voice messages as well also emailing us at the email address you gave us, in regards to your estimate to see if you had any further questions. After being unsuccessful in trying to reach you, we closed your file. We feel you may have us possibly mixed up with another company.
