Cain's Tree & Landscape

There was no damage at all to the house and minimal disruption of the lawn, despite the heavy equipment involved. I was very pleased with their speed, care, and professionalism, and considering this year's hurricane season, I am very grateful that these massive limbs are no longer threatening my house.

I called Cain's Tree and Landscape to give me an estimate on trimming my live oak in my front yard. The owner came the next day and gave me an estimate. I called the company the next day and accepted their estimate. I did not hear from them so after a week, I called them and was told they would be there in two days. The crew did come two days later, ready to do the work. The head crewman called the owner and was told that he did not yet have the permit so the crew left telling me they would be back the following week to do the work. They never came back and I decided that if they were that undependable, I did not want to use them. Now a hurricane is on the way and I still have large limbs over my house. That is my bad because I should have called someone else to do the work. I plan to do so as soon as this storm passes.

Job completed as described. Area cleaned up after job completion.

Placed Cable in one Live Oak to improve main branch stability, placed mortar in one Live Oak which had two large hollows holding water, trimmed four Live Oaks to take some major banches off from over house and reduce overall volume of follage to reduce potential for high wind damage. Crew placed plywood over lawn to prevent rutting from heavy trucks, very thorough cleanup when job was completed. Mr. Cain provided great advice on what was needed and his crew did an excellent job based on his direction.

They did a fantastic job. Will definitely have them back when i need more work done.

Mr. Cain promptly came to my house to give me a quote. He said his company has a crew minimum because they do mostly larger jobs. He referred me to a landscaping company that could do the small job for less. I was able to find a good deal on Angie's List to use for now. Mr. Cain is knowledgeable and fair man. Whatever he does will be done right!

The first time when i called, I gave the person answered my call the detail of my property, the phone number of my property manager and my phone number. She said Mr. Cain was out working and he will call me in a few day. I waited for their phone call for a month. Called again on Dec 2nd 2015 again, she promised Mr. Cain will definitely call me the next day. I have not heard from them since then. I called other tree service company and had the dead tree cut by Dec 9th, 2015. My husband and I are investors living in California, together we have 10 properties in Mobile, AL. I guess 10 houses are not big enough business for them to even return a phone call.

They arrived on time with all the necessary equipment, the tree is gone and all that remains is mulch, they tried not to destroy the yard with fairly good results, they were cheerful and efficient, what more could one ask for? I would highly recommend them.

Mr. Cain came to my home to look at the trees and to give me an estimate; he was exceptionally kind and informative, even advised me concerning one of the trees, why it was presently important to leave a specific root in place so as to keep the top soil from running off. I received a call that the workers would arrive at 9 a.m. and they were on time; also kind and friendly. Trees were removed and the work area cleaned and everything went very well. Although I was not at home at the time, my nephew was, I wanted to pay the same day; well, Mr. Cain's office assistant, very friendly and nice woman (I regret not remembering her name, hope she'll forgive me) came by my job so that I could pay my bill without me driving to their office; I thought this was exceptional customer service. I plan on using Mr. Cain's services in the near future with another home project. I will recommend this company to EVERYONE! GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT WORK!!!

They arrived early and had the job complete within a couple of hours. Very professional and accommodating due to the fact they had to use an alternate plan for removing tree because neighbor refused to let us use her driveway for their equipment. I was very happy with the service and performance. Will use again soon for trimming and downing a few trees on my property. Highly recommend.

The crew did an excellent job trimming some trees that were growing into and over my house.

The crew spent all day on this project. Three of the trees were large live oaks and all were trimmed to perfection. The end result exceeded my expectations. I would recommend that anyone contemplating residential tree work consult with Cains. The crew was very professional and polite. I Highly recommend them and will use again.

Easier than expected! Cain's crew was professional and conscientious of surrounding landscape. The work was completed in a timely manner and the area was cleaned appropriately.

We live in a house under many live oaks because we love the esthetics of these old majestic trees. It was a true testament to Cain's T&L skill set to trim the trees that were impeding the safety of the house while still keeping the beauty and shade these tree's give to us...after the work was completed (and it was a lot of work) the yard looked even more regal and natural and it didn't look chopped up. We have a very narrow back yard and we were very concerned how the work we needed was going to be accomplished (without tearing everything up) since there was no room for a truck. They used a crane right over the top of the house (a two story) and a man up in the tree with a chain saw and ropes (the monkey man)!! It was truly amazing just watching them work and a real education! All the guys were very respectful of our property and offered their opinion and listened to our requests. We had several other companies come out to quote the job and it was a basic cost for work on one tree and then oh that will be another $300 for that limb and so on... when Stevie told us we could have his crew for a day to do what we wanted that sealed the deal for us! Cain's Tree & Landscape has the equipment to get any job done, they know what they are doing and it was the best money we ever spent on the house. Don't wait like we did for many years wondering how it would be possible to get the job done...Just call them!! You'd be CRAZY not to use these guys!!!

They came as scheduled, very careful maneuvering of crane inside the tree and above carport cleaning up after the work was done. I have used this company since 2009 and always had satisfactory results.

It was very easy to get an estimate. We ended up going with another company but I did really like this one too!

They were very punctual, courteous and professional. Their prices were reasonable too.

Updated: 4/17/2014: Mr. Cain contacted me after seeing my review here. He offered to fix the damage caused to my aluminum siding. Because of this I am changing my review to A. I will definitely call him for any future tree work. As for the damage, at Mr. Cain's request I got estimates on replacing the dented piece of siding and it turns out it was very inexpensive to fix. I do not feel right about asking him to pay for it since the original price he gave me was so good. I doubt his crew even noticed that it happened. So I just had it done along with some other repairs. Again, I appreciate Mr. Cain offering to do the repair. I think it is rare to find that kind of integrity these days. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price was excellent. I got seven estimates before selecting them. However they caused two problems: 1. They hit my aluminum siding house with a limb or something and left a mark that will require an area of the siding to be replaced. I noticed it the next day. No one at Cain told me, but I suppose it is possible they did not notice it. I did not call them to report the damage. 2. One of the big trucks left ruts in my yard beside the driveway and in the area between the sidewalk and the street. They smoothed over the yard satisfactorily but left the ruts in the area between the sidewalk and the street. They are still there months later. I gave them a C for professionalism and a C overall because of these two complaints. Otherwise I was very satisfied.

We hired the company crew for the whole day to cut down trees on our 2 acre property. They were about to cut down 13 trees and grind their stumps before it got too dark to continue work. They did a very thorough clean up of tree debris.

Cain's Tree & Landscape were great to work with. I called for an estimate and they showed the next day. They made recommendations to increase the curb appeal of my home at a reasonable cost since I am trying to sell my house. They were punctual on the day of the job and cleaned up everything.
