I was assigned this company by American Home Shield for my dish washer. They come out and diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, found other issues after installing those parts, and completed the job. All work was done efficiently. I then had AHS to get them to come out to fix the dryer because the original company that was assigned never came out. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix that as well. I am not sure what was going on in previous years, but I was very pleased with their work. I am very pleased with their work.
Description of Work: I had a dishwasher that was flooding my kitchen and a older dryer that suddenly stopped working.

On May 11, 2020 Mr. Stephen Wesson came to my home to service my Viking refrigerator. He ordered a compressor and a board. I paid him $2,500.00 in cash for the parts. He returned about a week later and was here about 20 minutes. I was outside while he was working. When I came in, he was finished and I said "already?" I then paid the balance and he left. In a few days, the refrigerator was not cooling again, so I called him and he returned on June 4, 2020. He said I needed a defrost heater and thermostatic map action. I paid him $274.74 in cash for the new parts. He said the parts would be in 7 to 10 days. I didn't hear from him for about two weeks so I called him. He said parts were still not in. I called him each week with the same results. Finally, after being without a refrigerator for over a month, I called Viking directly and they said the parts were in stock. I told him I would just order the parts. He said he would come install them. I received the parts in 2 days. I decided to have someone else come put the parts on and he agreed to refund the $274.74 by mailing a check. The new repair man informed me that my compressor had not been replaced, so I asked him to take photos of the compressor. He knew this because the compressor was rusted, dirty and the manufacture date on the compressor is May 4, 2008 which is the year the refrigerator was manufactured. I called the factory parts center where he had ordered the compressor and board and Justin in parts informed me that they did not send him a compressor manufactured in 2008. Compressors do not have a 13 year shelf life. I then sent the photos to Mr. Wesson and stated that he did not replace my compressor or board and if he would just refund me the $2,991.06 that I had paid him along with the $274.47 for the second parts he didn't replace I would just forgive and forget. He denied this and text me a copy of a sales order where he ordered the compressor and board. I told him that ordering a compressor and board did not mean that he had installed it at my home. On August 3rd he text that he needed to come check the Freon pressures at no charge since he had let some out on his last visit. I agreed and he returned on August 5th. I had my repairman here to meet him and show him the compressor was not replaced. He still denied this and left a check on my counter for $274.47 for the second parts he didn't replace. I am out $2,991.06 and scammed by Mr. Wesson.

Company was sent by American Home Shield Warranty. Technician started that the evaporator coils needed replacing. By contract the company is supposed to notify AHS and give diagnosis so AHS can make a decision, after 5 days I called the company over 5 times and got no answer. I called AHS and found out Stephens had not contacted them either about diagnosis. AHS was finally able to contact Stephens and Stephens had decided to not contact AHS but let another Vendor do it. AHS was forced to find another vendor and give us emergency status since we had been without a refrigerator for 8 days. I received a scathing email from the owner because I had reported his company to AHS and the BBB. Most unprofessional company I have dealt with in years. If you look them up on BBB you will see this us the norm for this company and I would avoid at all costs.

This company did some work for me last year through my home warranty company but didn't return my call this week. Not worth the time when other people would rather work.

A complete disaster!!! Stephen's Appliance is a local contractor for American Home Shield, with whom we hold a policy. Steve contacted us a day after we spoke with AHS (12/21/09) and came to our house a day later and diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher ? it needs a new timer. Each week he promised the part would arrive at the beginning of "next week". It's been over a month, and still no timer. Moreover, about 2 weeks ago, Steve stopped answering our voice mails. I have his phone number from American Home Shield, and it worked the first couple of times, but then nothing. He is not listed in the online Yellow Pages nor can I find him on Google. American Home Shield has contacted him, but they keep getting the same "first of next week" story.
Description of Work: The service was to inspect the timer on our Kenmore dishwasher and either repair it or put in a replacement. The repairman said the dishwasher needed a new timer and said it would arrive the beginning of the following week. Over a month later the part has not arrived, and we're still without use of the dishwasher.
