Overall you get what you pay for. This builder was offering the most bang for our buck to build our home on our land. Construction seemed to be completed in a timely manner @ Feb 2009. Quality seemed decent upon completion. All items on our punch list were completed but not with much attention to detail. We had to re-clean the house after paying for the builder to do site clean-up. The builder offers a one year home warranty on the house. They did respond promptly to the few items during that year for warranty issues. We have had subfloor issues since constuction that we asked them to come resolve. After several tries we were told basically that was good as it could get. When you walk thru the living room on the carpet you can feel the subfloor uneven. The kitchen wood laminate floor is rippled in several areas and not level. We hired a ceremic tile contractor to come give us an estimate to replace the wood floor with tile, and he would not quote the job because of the warped subfloor. We have had both HVAC units replaced for coil failures at our own expense. We recently had a roof leak where the chimny is. The roofing contractor said there was no flashing of any kind put around the chimney during construction. We paid to have that complely fixed at our expense. We have had to replace the plumbing going to the hot water heater because it was not securely installed and failed at our expense. I guess you save a few dollars up front but end up spending them down the road. I suggest paying for quality up front to save yourself a lot of aggravation.
