+ -1 moreAs you can tell from my description of the services performed....we were very displeased with them. They treated us as if our contract was of little importance.....and on the very back burner of their schedule. We would go weeks without anyone here doing anything. We thought they never would complete the job. So, in the 7 month when they declared they were 'done' and wanted their money, we were also so 'DONE' with them...we paid them just to get over the torment. They also convinced me to cut down two trees (which I didn't want too.....and I watched them VERY CAREFULLY - dug THIS tree up getting all the roots and balling and bur-lapping it and putting it on their truck. It was a GOOD sized Japanese Maple, (you know how expensive these are) and I guarantee you they SOLD it to someone....got money for it somehow. There are many more unpleasant memories of those 7 months....but, I think you get the jest of it. I would NEVER recommend them. The owner was a high pitched salesman that promised the moon and then after he got his contract.....treated our job as if it was of no importance to them at all. They do a lot of commercial and big business, and I guess they thought our little yard was of no consequence....but believe me.....that money was from an inheritance in which we regretted spending after it was all over. It was a heart ache for 7 months.
Description of Work: I contracted with them to completely redo our overgrown front and back yards. There were overgrown shrubs, and many various wild 'stuff' growing everywhere. Many weeds of various kinds (including lots of thorny types. They were to completely remove all this...dig up so it wouldn't regrow from underground roots.....dig up tree roots, and really have the area completely level, smooth and root, weed, and shrub free. Then they were to install Bermuda sod front and back. The owner promised it would look like a show place and talked about ringing the remaining trees and mulching with soil to make them really stand out. They were also to put in an irrigation system. And to mark where the underground sprinklers were by clearing out the spaces to keep them easy to come up. We signed the contract in April and they were to do this quickly in a timely manor. As it turned out........their worked dragged on from early April until late in November. For days and days in a row, no one would show up, and most of the time when some one would show up, it would be at the most two workers that seemed to not even know what they were supposed to do. They did finally get all the overgrown growth out, but it was more of a scaling type situation......NO removal or digging up of roots in most cases. They did dig up some of the shrubs by the roots, but not most of them. They were to level and compact the yard.....but it is lumpy and has high and low places and places that are VERY SOFT. Also a lot of tree roots are exposed that they were supposed to get rid of. The irrigation system has had many problems....and you can NOT tell where they are....not cleared or marked in anyway. They did NOT ring the trees. When I persisted, they finally send out two workers....and I had to tell them that they were supposed to mulch around the trees. The owner said it would be a wide area around the trees.......at about 4 or five feet from trunks.....the just put some mulch around most of the trees, Piling it up thinly and mostly about a foot or so from the trunk. It just looked messy when they were through not....professionally landscaped at all. The sodding was OK....but they never told me that there would be lots of areas that would become bare because of shade and so that is what we also have now....lots of bare areas. I could go on and on....I should have kept a daily diary of their performance and lack there of.

+ 0 moreGreg was really good and listening to our concerns. They accidentally ripped off some of our siding while digging a irrigation trench but they repaired it and did a good job. They put way too much straw down and not enough grass seed in the back. I didn't pay anything until the job was completed to satisfaction. Of course, it was hard to tell until March that the grass didn't grow as well as it should have. Overall, it was good for the price.
Description of Work: Put in irrigation system. Tilled and conditioned soil. Planted grass seed.
