Description of Work: Phil Lawrence has retired, so Lawrence Plumbing in no longer in business as of May 1, 2014. When it was in business, I used Lawrence Plumbing for several different jobs here at home and for a local rental house I used to own.

I have used Phil Lawrence's plumbing service for about 7 years. I sell real estate and have referred him to many clients as well. He's one of the most conscientious and reasonably priced home repair contractors that I've EVER found! For emergencies I often call the franchises that have a large staff available because Phil is a one-person operation and he doesn't pack up and walk away from a customer whose job he's already started. When I can wait a few days, Phil is well worth the wait. He's a master plumber and just all-around nice guy.
Description of Work: Installed new plumbing fixtures, included all hardware and supplies.

Cannot recommend.
Description of Work: He doesn't work outside a 7 mile radius and could not recommend anyone. He didn't seen interested in helping me out at all with a busted pipe causing me to have to turn off the water main.

Thanks to [member name removed] for responding to Angie's List and giving me the first negative review in all of the 21 years that I have been in the plumbing business. I can not agree with his comments or in the context of how they were framed. I own a very professional company and treated him very professionally. I do indeed work only within a seven mile radius of my business location and have never even advertised. (he is located 14 miles away) The reason for this is, if I did any differently I could never respond to all of the calls I would possibly receive. Obviously [member name removed] must have gotten my name from a satisfied customer who had no problem recommending me. I am sorry that I was not able to respond on a moments notice when I was in the midst of repairing many broken water lines to various homes that had frozen in the two previous days of temperatures not reaching over 25 degrees. I just could not, at that particular moment, get to the problem at his community clubhouse. As for not recommending anyone to take care of his problem, I tried to make it clear that I did not recommend other plumbers for fear of the work being less than superior to that provided by myself.
